I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this salon. During my visit, I felt that I was…read moretreated differently because of my race. While I remained respectful throughout my appointment, I experienced behavior that made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Specifically, when I was told to pay before my service was done. As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism as everyone else. Whether intentional or not, the experience left me feeling humiliated and disrespected. No one should leave a business feeling singled out because of the color of their skin. I hope the salon takes customer concerns seriously, reflects on how clients are treated, and provides better training to ensure every customer is welcomed and treated fairly and respectfully.

Once the service was complete and seated in the area to dry my nails, I was told I needed to hurry up and pay even though my nails were still wet. I will never return here!!!! There targeted customers are old white ladies!!! If you are a POC who looks like a POC you will be treated differently!!!! Awful place!!!! How are you called chocolate spa and are disgusting to the chocolate customers that are willing to try your establishment.

Nice Place, Friendly people - Great prices!…read more I have gone to this salon about 5 times to get a manicure & pedicure. Compared to the numerous nail salons on Whalley Ave and in the area I find this place to be the best value. Any day of the week a regular Mani/Pedi is only $30. Yes, $30! I know another big place down the street offers this deal on weekdays only, but who is getting their nails done on a Tuesday afternoon?? I am typically there on Saturday or Sunday and have never had to wait to get a seat in the pedicure chair. I hope I'm not spoiling a well kept secret! You can also get gel nails, shellac and waxing done there - but I've never had these services. Parking can be tricky, they have some spots out front and some to the side near the Burger King. Another interesting fact about this particular nail salon is that it is run by an all spanish-speaking staff.

This is a great nail place. The ladies who run it are all very friendly and pleasant. I've gotten…read morepedicures several times from them and I'm trying my nail for the first time today. I'll follow up with nail details after a week or so. While I was there today it was pretty busy but I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes for a chair. This isn't important to me but many other reviews mention that at nail salons the staff can be hard to communicate with. I didn't find that to be an issue here. All the ladies speak Spanish and English. They didn't push services or upgrades and have always answered my questions about certain options and such. I would highly recommend this place.

Let me start by saying I was far more patient than I think most would be in this situation, and the…read morewoman who finally did my nails made up tremendously for the awful start. I was very pleased with the gel pedi and callus removal treatment (Spa Treatment #2). The man who did it took his time and it really shows. The lady I went to after for my gel mani was mf awful though! Firstly, her tools looked dirty! I should've said something immediately but I didn't. Shame on me...I'll be on the lookout for signs of infection this week. Moving on. Without soaking my fingers or anything, she goes into using a large round grit tip power tool like a weedwacker on my cuticles. Then she proceeds to use a large dirty cuticle cutter, then dirty cuticle pusher, and again with the cuticle cutter. Tearing my skin and going way too far down. I winced, and asked her if she could soak my fingers before trimming them to make it easier. She gets me a bowl of water for my hands and applies alcohol on a cotton ball to one of my bleeding fingers. I'm pissed and annoyed, but the words are still making their way up my throat. Next, she files my nails and even the skin just clipped at the cuticle.. including the finger she just made bleed! Middle finger throbbing she still tries to push it back. When she's done, she tells me to go wash my hands to proceed with color, that's when I said I would pay for my pedicure but I'm not going to continue the manicure. I got up telling out loud what was wrong as I walked towards the door. That's when another employee, the only Hispanic woman, offered to do my nails. I reluctantly agreed. She asked me what was wrong with the first lady, and I told her: I don't like the tools she's using The tools she's using are dirty I'm bleeding and in pain She's ripping the cuticles out of my dry hands And she apologized and acknowledged the areas where I was nicked on two fingers. She put a soothing gel over my cuticles before tending to each one with a fine tip cuticle tool that she sprayed down in front of me, and did a wonderful job painting. I tipped the Hispanic woman and the man that did my pedi both $10 to show my gratitude, but BEWARE the Asian woman with the burgundy ombré hair, it was a nightmare.
