My wife had Chicken Franchise over pasta which she enjoyed- entrees come with choice of soup or salad she got the chicken noodle soup (no noodles) I ordered the chicken Parmesan any time I go to a new restaurant I ask for very light sauce- you can always add more...the server said how about if I just tell them to do the sauce on side. I agreed and was happy with that ideas, chicken Parmesan shows up sauce all over it, the server apologized and said I can have them make it again...I said no. For dinner, the table seating is waitered, but for lunch its order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. It's a casual place with ample seating on both sides of the restaurant. And, its a BYOB! I went here for lunch with a large group of 13 people. The restaurant was packed for a weekday lunch. I was very impressed with the efficiency and speed at which everyones orders were delivered to the table. Our table ordered a wide selection of entrees and sandwiches with everyone raving about their food and everything certainly looked amazing. The portion sizes are astronomically huge! I had the Agrigento Panini with chicken and eggplant. The chicken was a bit over fried and not as ample of a portion as the entrees around me. I was hesitatant since I had pizza 3 other times that week, but this is high quality stuff. The pies were simple, but you really appreciate the quality of all the ingredients. The tomato sauce was well balanced and had depth to it. The dough was one of the best I've had. It had a nice chew to it while still being crispy on the outside. Not sure what it's called, but the thick slice in my photo was mouthwateringly satisfying since there were so many textures. You got the softness from the thick dough, large crunch once you bite through, then you get the chewy pull from the cheese that's under the sauce. I simply had to write this review!! We placed an online order for a half tray of the calamari diablo on Thursday for an anniversary party this past Saturday. When we began serving our guests, we noticed that pasta was in the tray. We've ordered the calamari diablo from here many times, but pasta was never included in the dish. When we got ready to serve our guests, we noticed that the pan was full of pasta (with the calamari). Since the business was closed yesterday, I called today and spoke with the Manager (Joe). He was obnoxious and argumentative. He said that they made a change to the physical menu and that the tray now includes pasta. Although the physical menu was updated, the online was not. He said that I should have told them I didn't want pasta when I placed the order, but we were not aware of the change since the last time we ordered, nor had the online menu been updated to reflect the change. He also said that we should have called back the same day to inform them of the issue and they would have made another dish in an hour. But we could not leave our guests during the party, so today was earliest we could try to remedy the issue since the restaurant was closed yesterday. I tried to reason with him and told him that I didnt want our money refunded...I'd accept a pan of the calamari (without the pasta). He said he wouldn't do it since we should have called earlier. But, I told him he was being unreasonable. We could not leave our guests and the restaurant was closed on Sunday. Today would be the first opportunity to try to resolve the issue. They should update the online menu for customers that are placing online orders. It is misleading to the customers not physically ordering in the store. Also, the Manager (Joe) has a terrible attitude!! He was not at all customer friendly or willing to compromise at all. I would NOT order from this place again!! read more

Despite having lived in the Monroe area for over 35 years, and seeing this restaurant nestled back behind/adjacent to Enterprise Rental Car, this was the first time visiting the Italian Touch Restaurant. We were dining with good friends on Saturday night. We called earlier that day to make a reservation for 5:30 PM for a party of four, and even though we were assured it probably wouldn't be necessary, we made one anyway. The dining room was nicely , but simply decorated. Our waitress Renee was courteous, professional and attentive to our needs. She also explained any specials and the available soups for that evening (soup or salad come with your entree). She also mentioned that the portions were abundant. Renee was absolutely correct. The soups that evening were not only delicious, but served piping hot, not lukewarm as in many places, and was excellent! The entrees were equally as hot with plenty of pasta (your choice of several) served on the side or under your chicken or seafood. This is a BYOB so we had a nice bottle of wine in tow. The portions were so large that you definitely need a container to have it again later in the week. All in our party were very pleased with the Italian Touch Restaurant. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable considering the amount and quality of food received. We will definitely be back before the end of July. So run, don't walk to give this Italian Restaurant a try. You'll be glad you did. read more

Italian Touch is a place you can miss since it's tucked away in a hidden spot just off Route 130 with minimal signage. While it's a smaller spot with a pizza/take out area and modest dining area off to the side, they have an extensive menu of the usual Italian food with table service and friendly staff. The meal started off with some complimentary hot bread served with olive oil and butter (always a great way to start off a meal. Main dishes come with choice of soup or salad. The caesar salad (3/5) was your typical preparation which tasted decent, but came with super hard croutons. The pasta fagioli soup (3.5/5) was similarly your typical preparation with ample veggies. The garlic knots (5/5) were easily some of the best I've had in central NJ with prefect texture and garlic taste without being too oily/greasy. The chicken marsala (4.5/5) was prepared well with great tasting marsala sauce, without being too heavy. The penne vodka (3.5/5) wasn't the best I've had in the area, as the sauce didn't pack too much of a punch, but adding some salt definitely helped. Both the main dishes were served in generous and hearty portions which could easily be shared with multiple patrons or make for leftovers. The service (5/5) was attentive and friendly as is typical of good Italian eateries in the area. The atmosphere (2.5/5) was pleasant except for the fact that it got really really loud in the main dining room with people talking and the sound seemed to bounce off the walls despite only a few tables being occupied. Prices are typical of other restaurants in the area, and I'm glad they don't add the petty credit card surcharge that some places in the area have started doing. Overall, it was a good dinner experience I wouldn't mind repeating when in the mood for Italian. read more

Called from the Hampton Inn for delivery. We spoke very carefully to make sure the Midwestern accent wasn't in the way of communication. The staff taking ng the order was incredibly patient and helpful. She cheerfully repeated everything back to make sure that the order was right. This was the best pizza! The thin crust has a flavor of its own, and the sauce is AMAZING ... not too sweet, very robust, delicious! ... and the cheese is obviously fresh. Followed up by a cannoli. A house made cannoli. Again, you can do quickly tell that this sweet cheese mixture was made in-house because it has the rustic feeling of the fresh cheese that cannot be replicated. I've ordered from here a couple of times and it's been decent. The last time I ordered was inexcusably awful. I got two different slices of pizza and they were both very obviously old. Heated and reheated. God knows how many times because the dough itself had no moisture to it, very similar to stale bread. The outside of the crust, and the bottom of both were black And the sauce and cheese were essentially like plastic. I understand having an off day, but serving what seems like old food, old burnt food is just unacceptable. In the restaurant business, sometimes you have to throw food away. That's the price of doing business. What you don't do is take peoples money for it. The spinach ravioli with pink sauce was excellent, with fresh ravioli, tomatoes, and spinach in a well seasoned sauce. I order this in a lot of Italian restaurants and this is one of my faves. My friend got the penne arrabiata and she said it was good, but I can't speak to specifics - though the portion size really was huge! She ate maybe a quarter of it as a whole meal. I ate here as it was a short walk from my hotel. It's a good thing that I Yelped this place first as it is a BYOB joint. I had some cold beer in my refrigerator that I brought thanks to Bottle King. We arrived to a location that had a counter area for to-go orders where pizza was sold by the slice. There was seating available big enough for our group so they were nice enough to move some tables around for us. We were given menus and our soda/water orders were taken. The menu was huge and there are so many Italian food offerings. We ordered a few appetizers. I was so hungry that I forgot to take pictures of them. I had some cheese covered garlic bread that was great. We ordered three pizzas in which I ate from two of them. We had White Pizza and Grandma's pizza. The White Pizza was great with thick enough crust and Grandma's Pizza was good. Grandma's is a square thin crust pizza (we had Pepperoni and black olives). Although we didn't try them, the locals raved about the garlic knots and calamari. Four stars! The only thing that could have been better is if it was cooler inside and they sold beer. read more

The outside was very attractive old world charming looking building with small patio and inside small seating area whee where you could see the pizza being prepared and larger dinning room nearby .
