Best Wagyu I've had by far!! The sets are great and come with so much food. Loved it all.

This has got to be one of the best restaurants in OC! The different kinds of Wagyu melted in your mouth, each cut packed with rich, buttery flavor and an incredible umami finish. Every bite was perfectly seared, highlighting the quality of the meat. The sake was so smooth, with a delicate infusion of fruit that balanced its crispness beautifully. Stopped by on a whim but really enjoyed how everything turned out! We did the two person tasting menu and it turned out to be a lot for the price - we could barely finish everything! Food was all really delicious, and even the appetizers tasted very intentional. The tomatoes especially were so tasty. I didn't have high expectations at first because they seemed very simple, but they ended up being one of my favorites from what was served. Ive never had tomatoes prepared that way, but they paired nicely with the meat as the brightness from the yuzu balanced the richness of the meat very well. You can tell that everything was great quality for the price, haven't really seen anywhere else that's comparable. Service was amazing as well! Our server was very nice and very attentive. V Wagyu BBQ was amazing. First, the service so fantastic. We had questions and the servers were so friendly and patient. They answered all our questions and described each dish. We had the tasting menu and a side order short rib. Every dish and meat was incredible. There was so much flavor. The presentation was beautiful. Heard about V Wagyu from a neighbor recommendation. SPOT ON! So good. The tasting menu for 2 is exceptional! From the first course of yuzu cherry tomatoes to the macha chz cake as the last course. Upon entry it has a feel that is very fresh and upscale. Our service from Gia and Sora was outstanding! They guided us through everything that came out and cooked it for us. Then Chef Kai came out and introduced himself to us and we welcomed him and this gem of a place to the neighborhood. They are still at friends and family and it was 5 stars all the way around. Highly recommended! My wife and I took a friend here on Valentine's Day. The food is excellent, quite worth the price. Our servers, Anna and Christina, were both very personable and helpful. Fast and attentive service with quality Wagyu ranging from American, Australian, and Japanese. They just opened 3 weeks ago at the time of this review and need to work some kinks out such as not having multiple items on the menu and yakiniku sauce being too sweet but that's normal. NOT recommended. See reasons: --Chawanmuchi was horrible-- taste like alcohol, none egg Flavor. Taste like it had over 10 tsp alcohol in it. --The edamame was hot while it says in cold dish. --The wagyu hand roll was $10 each but the beef was worse than cheap marinated kbbq and taste worse than that. Definitely nothing like wagyu. -- hot stone wagyu rice barely have waygu nor rice. --Miso soup was very salty and has nothing good taste. --Beef tongue was the only thing good. --The box costs $68 for about 8 pieces of meats and two of them was rotten and tastes it's been a long time in ridges. --server isn't bad but still lack of well prep training for getting things to customers. One waitress with very long bangs out delivering food out so I worry the food safety. -- Two people paid about $200+ after tax and we had to go somewhere else for food after this meal. Hope management can be more thoughtful of their food and be better!!!! I agree the other review says xiaohongshu recommendation are fake from influencers. Don't believe in that. read more

First off our waitress was absolutely terrible! Let me count the ways: did not come to the table once, did not explain what the different meats were, did not explain anything to us especially after I told her it was our first time, told us to order much to much food (luckily I didn't listen to her and ordered what I thought was appropriate and it was more than plenty), didn't bring our appetizer {gyoza} until over half the meal was gone, did not give us our rice until I had to get up and tell her and that was after half the meal was gone. Is that enough?o For a place that holds itself out to be upscale due to the pricing which is absolutely ridiculous this was unforgivable service! And the food was subpar. We got the ran tasting combo and some extra meats. This place is nothing like Korean barbecue. They give you a couple of little things before you get your meat. A tiny little salad, tiny little tomatoes, small miso soup and every one of them were at the most average! If you look at the other yelps you'll see people have been complaining about the service and obviously they're not doing anything about it and don't care about their customers. Everyone knows it's father's day and it could be busy so you should have extra help and they had less than what they should have had on a normal day. Once again unforgivable. We will never be back and I can guarantee this place will be out of business after the summer rush if it stays like this with the pricing being so high and the service being so terrible! It sad because I was hoping I would like it with all the good reviews on yelp. But sadly that wasn't the case! And lastly, the table next to us felt the exact same way as we did. We were very excited to try this place but were severely underwhelmed. They were extremely understaffed!!! I feel bad as i know staff was trying their best but honestly food was not good enough to compensate for this. We had to ask multiple times for basic utensils to eat the food. We ordered an appetizer and were excited when they told us it would be on the house for soft opening. The item never arrived... As well as a few other items we ordered and did not receive. We just asked for them to be taken off the bill. They were apologetic and offered free dessert which I can appreciate, but we prefer what we order for a reason. Honestly, this seems like a management/ ownership problem. They clearly only care about people paying money to eat and not the customer experience or even their own staff. We saw the owner yelling at staff and it made me feel bad. Meanwhile he would sit and drink with his friends.. lol. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back as the cons heavily outweigh the positives. read more
