One of my favorite sushi spots in the area! The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the staff are friendly and attentive. For appetizers, I highly recommend the spicy garlic edamame, baked green mussels, and crispy rice with spicy tuna. All are flavorful! For rolls: the Crunch Roll, El Toro Roll (with jalapeño on top), Spider Roll, and Baked Salmon Roll are always on my go-to list. As for nigiri, the salmon, bluefin tuna, and yellowtail are melt-in-your-mouth fresh every time. I also love that some rolls come in 4-piece portions instead of a full roll. I came to Trusushi with my partner after an appointment and I had a wonderful experience. We got the special uni with bluefin tuna & caviar, spicy garlic edamame, banzai roll and marathon roll. The fish was so delicious and very fresh. The bluefin tuna melted in your mouth like butter. Our server was the sweetest lady ever. She made sure we had everything we needed and a smile never left her face while doing it. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure our experience was exceptional. Don't come unless you don't mind your lunch taking almost two hours. Came on a Monday afternoon, close to 1:00 pm. There were only a couple of parties inside eating at time we arrived. While we got seated immediately, it took a while before we got our order in. Once our order was put in, it took a long time before any of the food came out. When our food did come out, one of the orders was incorrect. Normally, we would let them know and ask for it to be fixed. But since we had already waited a while, we didn't bother. We were starving by that point. On the day we came, there was only hostess and one sushi chef. I don't know how many cooks were in the back preparing hot food. And I would give them benefit of doubt. However, this is not the first time I have gotten poor service at this restaurant. On another occasion, I came to order take out. That time, they failed to notice us waiting by the door. Then they seated another party that arrived after us before eventually coming to help us. When we said we wanted to do take out, they let us know it would be about an hour wait. The description of the ramen was just "ramen" this didn't describe what was in it at all. So after kinda figuring out no one knew we got it any way. The sushi I ordered was just a few two pieces and a roll. As the food arrived. My bf instantly wasn't impressed about the said ramen. I even looked and it looked like a pack of ramen you get at Ralph's next door. It was plain no real flavoring. The sushi I got seemed to be ok. Wasn't too impressed myself but it made for what I wanted. I say not too impressed cause the quality of sushi wasn't to my standards. I'm not trying to sound snobby but I've been around to know a good piece of fish vs a ehhh piece. These were ehhhh coulda been better. They had a bit of a fishy smell / taste which if you don't know. Isn't supposed to be like that for fresh fish. Could have been sitting out. Either way it was our lunch and made the choice to really not come back.
