Thanks Volt! I highly recommend this roofing and solar company. Buck and his team are great: very…read moreknowledgable, hard-working, and have amazing attention to detail. On top of that, they're just good down-to-earth people. We hired them last spring to re-roof our home, replace some rotted eaves and fascia and replace our old solar system (it was inefficient and malfunctioned quite a bit). We are very happy with what we got for the price we paid, it was a good value. It looks so much better than it did before and is consistently producing more energy. I feel like they helped us make the right decisions through the whole process, especially for system size to be able to keep our NEM1 status. The new roof looks great and works really well. I waited almost a year to write this review to make sure there wasn't any water intrusion during the winter storms - not a drop anywhere. They were in the mid-high range in pricing on the bids we got, but I'm happy we spent a little more went with them. Can a roof be sexy? Ours sure is. All in all, if you need a new roof or solar system or home battery, or all of the above, call Volt. They are a competent and professional group of local people who are really f**king good at what they do.

He came in $20,000 lower than one bid and at least half that on another bid. He finished the job a week early and under budget. His men were professional and very knowledgeable and were very careful with my property. My new roof looks amazing! I simply can't recommend this company enough.

We paid the upgrade for an attic installation, but they ran conduit over our brand new roof anyway…read more Only after we pointed out their mistake did they agree to fix it--leaving holes in our roof in the process. They had to come back multiple times because the attic install was left incomplete--twice. Multiple return visits were required to finish what should have been done properly from the start. On the second repeat visit, the owner, Lee, personally came and discussed the plan with me; but the technician still misrouted the wires through the wrong area--creating a visible and unsightly mess that showed a lack of attention and common sense. When we raised concerns, they called in their manager to come out. A young man who identified himself as a "part-owner" arrived. Rather than resolving the situation he escalated when he began to repeatedly scream "THAT'S OFFENSIVE!" over and over again in my 80-year-old father's face, simply because he asked the very reasonable question about the company's long-term accountability - if they would stand by their verbal promises in the years to come. His body language was wildly aggressive and the outburst was completely unprofessional, traumatizing and arguably elder abuse. Throughout this ordeal, Safe Haven left work unfinished and consistently failed to follow through. Another major issue is their refusal to honor their loan deferral promises. Part of their sales pitch is the promise to cover loan payments if PG&E approval is delayed beyond the first 90 days after panel installation. Even though the delays were entirely their fault (caused by their own failure to submit the correct paperwork) they refused to honor their promises. The panels were installed in early April, but due to the delays our connection was not approved until late-August, well past the 90 days. Despite the original assurances, they refused to cover the payments and claimed the CFO who made the agreement to pay us no longer works there--so, too bad for us. Additional problems included: * Trash left all over our brand-new roof (snack wrappers, clips, bottles--even on the chimney) * Damage to attic access * Shoddy stucco work around the electrical panel * Holes left unpatched in walls and soffit. * Repeated unresponsiveness/dismissiveness to emails and calls We paid over $130k with this contract which included 54 panels, a panel upgrade, and attic routing--and were met with a lack of accountability, disrespect and abuse.. if this is how they treat a customer paying 6 figures, I can't imagine what it's like for others. We wouldn't recommend Safe Haven Solar based on this experience. For a company that markets itself on trust and long-term value, their actions tell a very different story. They blame customers, deny agreements, and make false assurances they don't intend to keep. It's been one of the worst customer experiences we've ever had.

I told them I wouldn't work with them tho I was motivated to find someone they used as contractors as I had gotten in on the NEM 2. They gave me a couple names and I decided on Safehavensolar in Sutter based on their reviews. They were the most friendly, responsible, helpful, clarifying contractors I had ever worked with. They make 150% effort in everything they do. I talked to the owner at least 3 x who explained every step, the cost, the warranties, their promise of excellence and their commitment to follow up on all warranties.Michaela, Lou, Lee everyone I interacted there had clean responsible communication as far as timing, giving info they knew, asking others for answers they didn't know. They were never late, they never hung me up. They were patient in answering every question I had. When the owner wasn't sure of all the aspects of the warrantee on the parts and labor he brought in his warrantee specialist who spelled it all out for me, and I know I'm a small customer. As they are one of the few remaining solar companies in the 'progressive' state of California who has just about wiped out solar companies in this time of climate crisis, I would recommended them head's above anyone else in the business. They're straight across, honest, hard working, give quality time and materials, and they're extremely responsive. They call back that day or the next am. Please consider them in your solar/roofing projects. They're the best! Chimae Say Davis, ca

Ohhhh yeah did I mention Justin the sales guy called the manager Lee and they promised to have it done in 12 weeks/3 months top! But at the 4 month mark, they claimed to not know about their promises and still have yet to complete our project. Don't make the same mistake we did, friendly they are but a book of excuses is all they have given us thus far.. hopefully management will call me and help get it done.... this year???? Update: February 6, 2025 got a call from Nathan before 8am this morning, he was told to call me by his dad, Lee the boss. Told me if I don't take my review down, they are gonna have their lawyer contact me. I asked what was the problem with my review, he stated it is messing up their score. I asked him what part of my review was the problem. He said the 1 star. I was contacted 2 other times prio by the new office handlers who originally told me they would only help if i took down my original post which i did not agree too as Lee pionted out the problem and told me himself he would take care of it before they finish. So they could not help me as they had just started and all my complaints were prior to them starting and was told Lee would contact me, no contact was ever attempted by Lee to us. ( when they first came out to dig lines, Lee pionted out my power line which the wire came off as it was not fastened and unsafe as I had animals that could get stuck or pull my main line out all together, he said it was unsafe but never took care of.)Since my business with Safe Haven Solar, I had to reach out to PG&E and finally got it fixed by PG&E myself. My biggest complaint is poor communication and lack of accountability. Now you can add intimidation! I would give them no starts at this piont but gonna keep the 1 star so everyone can see the truth
