I went to the store and was greeted with a great big smile from John, the owner who has been in this store for 40 years. He took so much time with me, explaining to me the differences in several vacuums without a hint of pressure to purchase. He was patient and kind and so knowledgeable. I was treated like his only customer. It felt so good to have the personalized, honest customer service while deciding which vacuum to buy. What an amazing experience. John (owner) knows his vacuums! Called to get some advice on the best Hepa one and he recommended the Sebo which he ordered for me and I picked up in a few days at his store. He even beat the price offered from the Sebo website! Also, he took about 1/2 hour to go over every aspect of the machine and how to work it. Something you can't get from buying online. I had done some research and knew that I either wanted a Sebo or a Miele canister vacuum to replace a bag-less stick upright (which I despised). We have hard wood floors and some tight nap area rugs (no shag). John was incredibly helpful and agreed that with my flooring situation, a canister vacuum was the way to go. He spent a long time with me walking me through and trying out the different vacuum and attachment options in an educational and unpressured way. I ultimately decided on the vacuum he recommended and I opted to add on a couple of additional attachments which he in no way pressured me to buy. I just knew they would be very useful. I was going to purchase a vacuum online but decided I'd rather support my local businessman and I have no regrets! I also loves that he guarantees your purchase and repairs vacuums as well. When I got home I vacuumed and washed all my floors. I was gobsmacked at how much additional dirt the vacuum picked up. Normally I was going bananas constantly vacuuming and washing my floors and changing the water after each room and the water would be filthy. I once experimented and washed the same floor three times back to back to see if the water was still dirty (it was, albeit a lot less). At this stage I was turning into a lunatic and did some research online and many people said you need a better vacuum. This time when I washed my floors - the water was barely dirty at all! My wife and I just bought our first home together and we needed to upgrade our vacuum. We previously owned a Dyson but didn't love it, so I did some research and read about Miele's which led me here. I just moved into my first house in the valley and found out we had a central vacuum system. My parents had one when I was growing up and referred me to John at Vacuum world. I gave him a call and he was so friendly and knowledgeable on how to use the system. My husband and I couldn't figure out how to open the tube or see if it worked so he FaceTimed us and gave us a step by step on how to do this. Once we found out the central vacuum was in good shape I drove over to Johns store and purchased the 35MM central vac. I used it twice since purchasing it and I can already tell the difference in my allergies in the house. Originally I kept sneezing, coughing and felt very congested in the house before vacuuming, now the house feels so clean and fresh. I am ocd about dust mites and allergies and have a dog that suffers from skin allergies too. So i stayed up all night researching the best vacuum cleaner on the market, and it turned out to be the the Miele. Afraid to order online and the need to have it within a couple of days, the owner of the store helped me make my purchase and all i had to do was come pick it up. He gave me a lot of information about the different models and than helped me make the right purchase, its almost been half a year since I've gotten my Miele and I am very happy. On pick up day, the owner showed me how to use all the different parts and precautions i should keep in mind so that id take good care of my new best friend! It appreciate his knowledge and expertise because i didn't have to read the instruction manuals. Its almost been a half a year and I accidentally vacuumed up a small bottle that got caught in the handle and tube, so i brought it in and the owner recognized me instantly. He helped me get that bottle out within less of a minute. I felt like i should have gone to him sooner instead of stressing out about it because it would have saved me so much time. The cool thing about it though is that he didn't charge me at all. Since the day ive purchased my Miele, everyone in my home have been allergy free and my house is so much cleaner. Came here to fix a flange on my Dyson and to also look into some canister vacuums bc my Dyson turned out to be not as great as I expected it to be. I thought I wanted a bag less vacuum bc I did not want to deal with paying money for different parts. After listening to John and thinking back on the puffs of dirt and debris when dumping the dust and washing the washable filters that don't really wash well, I realized how much cleaner bagged vacuums are. Over the years I have visited this store for my vacuum needs on several occasions. John has always been extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about his products. Today, I popped in to replace a broken part for my Miele vacuum and I felt the cost was very reasonable. I would not think of going to any other store if I needed to make a purchase of a vacuum. Being in the Air Conditioning Business for over 30 years I've become more and more obsessed with the air quality in my home. I use the highest MERV Rated air filters available and I Have UV and ionization air scrubbers for my rooftop HVAC units. One day I'm vacuuming and thought, How much of this micro dust is making its way back into the air we breath after it passes through the bag? A lot is the answer especially if you have some mediocre type vacuum. With extensive research in the Crazy World of Vacuums I entered Vacuum World. Ready with questions in hand and spoke with John, He confirmed that the canister vacuum I was looking for was the for me. I took the additional info he gave me and researched it further. One week later I returned to purchase what I now think is the most amazing Vacuum. I got the Miele C3 Cat and Dog model. Knowing that the unit is more likely filtering the air as it runs is very reassuring. Its clear why these can be pricey. Its the BEST Investment I made in a while. I actually Love to use it and My Wife seems to Love me using it too! lol The unit runs pretty quiet, the brush attachment for my hardwood floor is amazing, the suction is awesome, and the retractable cord is a game changer! This is my second review. I once owned a crappy vacuum cleaner. When it broke down, I found out about John at Vacuum World and he fixed it for me. When I was at his shop he asked me many questions about what type of house I have. Such as square footage. Carpet, verses other types of flooring and so on. So, I have about 3000 square feet of wall to wall carpet. I told John that am a neat freak and I vacuum three times a week. He urged me to upgrade to a better vacuum cleaner to keep up with my needs. At that time, honestly, I was not ready to do it. He fixed my then, current vacuum cleaner and I knew that it would run for a least a few more months. Everything was going along fine until it conked out again. This time I took my husband with me to pay John a visit at vacuum world. My goal was for my husband to be literally forced to slam down his credit card for a massive upgrade. Sounds harsh, but sometimes only tough love works. So, we purchased our new SEBO vacuum cleaner made in Germany. This is fine craftsmanship. This baby is hospital grade. It's top of the line. It puts my old one to shame. Big difference in price. but you get what you pay for. If you have a large house and vacuum a lot, you do REALLY need a fine piece of machinery that has horse power. Using this vacuum cleaner is like the difference between driving a Porsche verses a pinto. It gives a "close shave" and is also like the difference in using a Gillette razor, verses a cheap 99 cent store razor to shave your face. I don't even have to vacuum three times a week anymore, because of how well this machine picks up. She is a beast, this new SEBO of mine. She is a thoroughbred. She actually doesn't even really need me, much. She knows what to do and does it with awesome power! I love vacuuming my floor now and when I am done, my wall to wall carpet looks like it was just freshly installed. John at Vacuum World, really saved the day for me. This guy is just incredible. He really knows his business and his personality is to die for. He is just SO kind and has a level of positive energy and excellent customer service that feels very 1950's to me. Not helpful! I brought my vacuum into the store to get help cleaning it. The man had no clue how to do it and kept saying read the directions I told him I did and I have a PDF of the instructions in my phone. He didn't listen and just told me to go home and let the bagless canister sit in the sun because there were some water droplets in it. I wouldn't come back!! read more

I called up to see about fixing my vacuum and was directed to replace belt and clean all filters. I came in and purchased a replacement belt for $3 dollars. I saved a TON of money and time, meanwhile my vacuum hasn't worked this good in years. These guys are legit!! Oh yeah... there was a little snafu with the point of purchase equipment and needed to refund debit and use cash. All was quickly resolved; no harm no foul. Great attitudes and great service. John is one of the rare individuals with both integrity and expertise. Although he's younger, he reminds me of my grandfather who ran a business for 55 years on a handshake. I came to John 20 years ago Needing a vacuum cleaner. I had just come from a shop where they tried to sell me one for $2000. Understanding I had a limited budget John sold me a great machine told me how to use it and how to care for it. It's still working today. I trust John and that's a lot. I just brought my vacuum cleaner in because it wouldn't turn on and come to find out that it's perfectly fine it just overheated and I need to clean it better.
