They replaced the thermister on my refrigerator with an (obviouly used or refurbished) part which broke again in 2 months. If you need appliance repair go somewhere else. This is the WORST repair service I have ever dealt with. They made three house calls to repair an air circulation problem with our Mora refrigerator, still under warranty, and it still is not fixed. The last time the "repair" guy was here, May29, 2026, he left a repair receipt, telling me the work is "guaranteed for 30 days." Today is June 23 and the problem still exists. I called for another visit, 4th times a charm, and the response I got was, "We don't guarantee work done under warranty." What?! I rate their success a ZERO and their willingness to stand behind their work a MINUS 10. I jury-rigged a small battery powered fan inside the refrigerator as a temporary stop-gap. I was connected from this company through my Home Warranty company. I want to express my appreciation for Jerry and Vasily who are definitely very experienced and know what they are doing. Watching Vasily take apart my dryer and dishwasher for diagnostics, you can tell that this is not his first rodeo. I was skeptical at first because a lot of companies that contract through the warranty companies like to cut corners. Not true with Need Appliance Repair. The service was very thorough and he gave me helpful tips during the repair and even pointed out some serious maintenance issues that I needed to take care of in terms of corroded washer hoses, etc. When I request service with this company, I feel very confident that my appliances are in good hands. My appointment was scheduled from 8 to 11, and nobody bothered to notify me that the gentleman was going to be 30 minutes late. I had to call to find out why the gentleman was still not here after the 30 minutes, just to find out, he's going to be another 15 minutes. Given the fact that they have not yet arrived, I cannot attest to whether their work is good or is bad. But I will be updating this as soon as they finally come and finally do the job.. I recently used Need Appliance repair for a repair on my washing machine, and unfortunately my experience was frustrating. When I spoke with the owner after the repair was completed, due to suspicious actions of the tech, he gave me one explanation of what was wrong with my machine, but when the technician arrived, he provided a completely different diagnosis. I asked the tech Freddy to show me the new wash plate when installing it, he replied NO , just let me install it. A side-by-side comparison was refused. This kind of response made it difficult to understand the actual issue and left me questioning the accuracy of the repair process. He explained that on the old wash plate all the teeth were broken off, however, a wash plate does not have teeth. When I questioned the owner, Jerry, he explained to me that Freddy used the incorrect terms, and that the gears were stripped, and a wash plate does not have teeth. Why is he a technician if he does not explain the correct problem??? I expect clear and consistent communication when dealing with a service provider, but that was not the case. The conflicting information from the company made me hesitant to trust their service. I hope they improve their communication or maybe just be honest so future customers don't face the same confusion. The charge for the repair was $350 I feel completely taken advantage of. read more

Called Need Appliance Repair last Feb 8th. I asked if they had experience with Thermadore ovens. "Yes we do". I made an appointment and thier service tech Vlad showed up. I explained that the oven would start then later turn itself off. I had to show him how to turn on the oven. He messed around for about fifteen minutes and said it needed a small oven control board and charged me $55. Two weeks later I called their business number... it was answered by "Hello". Was this Need Appliance ?... It was. Weird. I explained that I've been waiting for follow up and explained who I was. He put me on hold and then came back a few minutes later saying that will be $280 labor and $230 for parts. I just did not feel comfortable doing business with them. Adios. read more

I had a warranty claim for my washer. When the tech came out , not only did he not investigate the problem by looking or opening up my washer, he pressed a few buttons asked me what was going on and gave me a list of things it could possibly be. He said he thinks it a clog in the dispenser. However it was not clogged. Therefore I paid $65 for someone to come to my home to make excuses. Stay less than five minutes not even look at the problem. This is absolutely unacceptable.What this technician said is not the case he told me to clean out the soap dispenser and it would work. I told him that is not the case as I have already cleaned it out and it still doesn't work. I googled my problem and it said it was the solenoid malfunctioning, which the technician never even checked. Was in my home less than five minutes. Blamed on concentration level Said it was because the blue device missing (told him below sink) Blamed clogged Never ran a cycle to check if clogged. read more

Need Appliance Repair was sent out by our home warranty provider to inspect the refrigerator door gasket that has cracked and is not sealing correctly. Sergei arrived and was rude, curt and spent all of 5 minutes before requesting I pay him the $75 copay. And after all that, he notified the warranty company that we were improperly using the refrigerator, ergo warranty now does not need to cover the replacement. We have been in our home for only two months - not nearly enough time to cause the door gasket to crack and break off. read more

Choice home warranty, my home warranty company, assigned the job of fixing my refrigerator to this company. Technician came in, collected the $75 service fee and left stating that he would get the authorization from the home warranty to order the parts. Because we needed the fridge so bad and could not wait for the appointment 2 weeks later, we cancelled the work to purchase a brand-new fridge instead. To our surprise, we were informed that this company collected the money from the home warranty for a service not rendered. They claimed that they fixed the fridge. I called the owner to explain that it was dishonest and unethical such practices. Will take them to small claim court to get our money back since we cancelled our home warranty contract (scam) and were advised that they deducted what they paid to this company. read more

Incredibly, we were sent to Need Appliance Repair through our home warranty company, which sucks. I won't mention their name, but we'll be cancelling our contract with them. This is the first time we've gotten a quality repair company from them. As for Need- they were awesome. Our Sub Zero freezer was leaking water from the water line to the ice maker. They came out and found that we had to do a little work to remove a panel under the unit for them to get access to the valve needing replacement. So, they told me I may need some of our wood floor cut away from the access point. I called my handyman who took care of that. When I called Need again to set up the appt, the technician was out the next morning, at the time I was told he'd arrive. He worked quickly and fixed the issue. Also worth mentioning is that, between their 2 visits, our washing machine drain pipe got loose. I'd never had experience with that, but they walked me through the (very simple) steps to fix it on my own. I was about to ask for someone to come out. They could've done so and charged me, but they told me what to do and the problem was handled. They'll be on my short-list of who to call next time we have an issue. read more

Took this company a week to come out to look at my refrigerator. Not sure if the fact they wrote down the wrong phone number on the order had anything to do with it, but he was at my house for 5 minutes collected a $85 fee, and never called me back. And wrote up their invoice so my insurance company would not pay for the repairs. They did not even spell my name correctly on the invoice. they were sent by our home warranty company to repair our freezer. itvwas determined we need a new compressor. when they came to put in the new part, they scratched thecwood floor in my kitchen. the scratches were on both side where the refrigerator was draged out from the wall. immediately called need and spoke with the owner. he adked me to send pictures iof the floor. he said he would call me back. he didn't. when i called him back, he told me the technician told him the scratched were there before he did the work. i told him they weren't. i just wanted him to pay $100 for my handiman to come outvand buff out the scratches. i told him to not charge me for the co-pay on new compressor. i told him i could call my dredit card company and dispute the charge. he threatened to take me to small claims court. i decided i was arguing with a fool and not a reputable company. i would advise you not use the company for appliance repair. they are not reputable. read more
