We have used Baker for years. Even recommended them. We asked them if they serviced Thermador equipment before they came out. They said they did. When the tech arrived, he said they were not "certified " for Termador equipment and could not obtain the parts. Conveniently for them, they still charged us the full call out fee. They should not be changing a service call fee for equipment they are not certified to repair. Fail Baker Appliance!!!! Won't be recommending or using you again. read more

Got referred to this company when my regular repair person was not in town. The tech they had scheduled had a family emergency that morning but Baker did nothing to notify me when they knew that no one would be able to come to do my repairs until almost at the end of the window of time they gave me. I understood and asked if they would be able to send someone within the next day or so and they said NO. I asked for a supervisor to call back. When she did call back she had the attitude like "we had an emergency and there is nothing we can do for you." I went on to tell this supervisor that I had even rescheduled a doctors appointment for my son so someone could be home to meet the repair tech. I was out of town caring for my elderly Mother at the time. The supervisor went on to tell me that it wasn't her problem and that I must be a horrible Mother to reschedule my son's doctor appt. Even after that I said I'll let that pass -- I asked to please just send someone to fix my washer - both my son (security) and husband (essential city worker building and safety) wear uniforms to work so really needed them to have access to a working washer while I was out of town. The supervisor said, "I don't think so!" and hung up on me. Absolutely horrible, mean people to deal with. read more

I wish I had known about Baker appliance before I needed this Warranty Work. There are other projects that took two and three times to complete and knew they would have been solved at the first visit if Baker had handled. I had the pleasure of being called and kept up to date by Cheri, she was always very attentive and answered all my questions fully and completely. She treated me as being a priority which is a breath of fresh air. Both Robert and Jason were the tech's that Baker dispatched to my Valencia home. Both were well mannered, clean and took care to respect the rules of my home. That was very different than my past experiences with vendors and appliance repair people. I called them this morning our washer has died and needed repair! So it started like this i googled a repair shop and they said they could send out a repair guy this afternoon I booked it, then I started thinking do I even know who I'm calling? So I called back got their name and starting checking them on yelp. Oh boy, average star rating of one! I called them ASAP to cancel, then I go on the West Hill's group on Facebook and asked if anyone knew of a Appliance repair company please. Everyone recommended Baker, I called them and spoke to a wonderful young lady who said the earliest we can get there is tomorrow morning, book it I said, but I told her put me on the list if there is a cancellation, she did, someone canceled and they came and fixed the issue and the repair people were very knowledgeable and helpful and they didn't leave a mess! Customer Service at Baker is just not the same anymore. 3 years after my first experience with them / they come out to check my dryer, didn't introduce themselves, were not wearing a mask when I opened my door and were just curt and unprofessional. They are not the same anymore. Fortunately a friend recommended Vincent Appliance Repair and they came out and repaired the dryer. They were very professional and reasonable. read more

This is my second time using Baker Appliance Service And once again they exceeded my expectations. I was given a service window of 2-5. They called and said they were ahead of schedule and wanted to know if they could come earlier. I was thrilled to have them arrive at 1:00. Robert immediately diagnosed the reason my front load washer wouldn't drain and remedied it by cleaning the filters and showing me what I need to do in the future. Okay this company is legit! My dryer has been broken for months. A technician from another company didn't come back to fix it and told me it would be a $400 fix. I finally had enough and called Baker. Jose came out, took one look at it and left to get the part. My dryer is now up and running and it only cost $160!!! Such great customer service! read more

I completely trust this company. Even though we didn't have the best outcome this time, they (Robert and partner) were completely honest and straight with us. After thinking our refrigerator was fixed, they had to come back. They found another issue. Robert apologized for not finding this issue the first time. His opinion was to not spend the extra money fixing our refrigerator, just get a new one. He then offered to give us back much of the money from the original call. Then he offered us some great options on where to buy upper end brands for much less money. In our opinion, this shows great honesty and actual caring for the customer. We trust this company. My dishwasher was not heating and the service I received from Baker appliances was fantastic. Everyone that works there is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and has good communication. You can really tell how good a company is when everything doesn't go perfect. My dishwasher was broken and it took a few attempts and the wrong part being sent to get it working. Each step of the way, I was told what was going on and even though Robert had to come back 3 times, he was always prompt and I didn't get charged for the extra visits. read more

Baker Appliance Service is terrific! I have a Kitchen Aid built in double oven from 1985. The top oven and broiler have not been working for several years, as another repair company said the parts were not longer available. So I have just been using the bottom oven all this time. It went out and we did not like the choices of replacements to fit the space, and none were double ovens. Jose came and told us we needed 3 igniters and all three should work. Robert came and fixed the job at a very reasonable price. We couldn't be happier and will call them with all our appliance repair needs in the future!! read more

Honestly, the technician was polite and was able to make a determination of what was wrong with my LG refrigerator quickly. He stated Candace, from the ofc, would get me a quote within 24Hrs, never received it. Called her 3X times in a week and each time she assured me she would send me the quote. She even called me one time to say she would send that day. To this day, almost 2 weeks later, I have not received anything. I just needed a quote so LG could cover the cost of the work they were going to do. NO FOLLOW THROUGH, but nice people. read more

I have used Baker Appliance for decades, and have never been disappointed. They're fair, reasonably priced and always helpful. I'm writing this review because I just recommended Baker Appliance to a friend who was freaking out this weekend because her sub-zero refrigerator went kaput right before Thanksgiving. One company gave an estimate of about $1,650 to fix the "motherboard," and even pretended to be generous by knocking $100 off the bill. Baker came to the rescue today--parts and labor were under $450. What a great, ethical company. Love them and will recommend them to any and all people. read more

Baker Appliance Service is our "go to" guy for about the last 25 or maybe even 30 years. We have been with them since even before their present owner,Brett , was with them. Brett was just a kid at some point many years ago coming in to learn the business and today it is great to know that he owns the place....and also great to know there has been no "corporate takeover" of this terrific outfit! His servicemen today are just as knowledgeable and personable as he was/is and never does the cost make me spin around my kitchen in circles...as was my behavior when I erroneously called in the GE Service repair folks. OMG...what stories I have about GE ...I sent them all home and called Baker! I cannot say enough good things about Baker Appliance Service . We walked in our house after couple of days away and the alarm on our Viking refrigerator was going off and it had no power. My daughter gave me the name of Baker Appliance as she had been extremely happy with the repairs at her house. Turns out my other daughter said the same. The lady answering the call was super nice and arranged for the technician to come that afternoon. Robert and Jason came when scheduled and quickly found the problem. They explained everything and were very efficient and nice and gave us an estimate which we were happy with. They were back as soon as the part came which was two days later and quickly installed the part and we had our refrigerator working once again. I would recommend Baker appliance without reservation as they not only were knowledgeable and efficient but nice and very helpful.
