I had previously leased an Acura from Acura of Bedford Hills, so when I needed to replace my…read morevehicle after it was totaled, I naturally contacted them again. Unfortunately, this experience was very different from my previous one. I was looking for a very specific 2026 Acura RDX Technology, and the vehicle I wanted would have needed to be transferred from another dealership. I was told I would need to put down a deposit for the transfer. Because I was being asked to commit money before the vehicle was brought in, I wanted to fully understand the lease terms, pricing, fees, and total amount due before agreeing to move forward. I don't think those were unreasonable questions to ask. Throughout the process, I found the pricing and amount actually due at signing unnecessarily confusing. At one point, I was quoted an advertised monthly payment with $3,999 down, only to later be told that taxes and fees would be additional. I also specifically asked Debbie, the finance manager, what the lease payment would look like with $0 down at signing. I never received an answer to that question. When making a significant financial commitment like a new vehicle lease, I believe a customer should be able to ask for different lease scenarios and receive clear answers before deciding how much money to put down. What bothered me most, however, was receiving what appeared to be an internal text exchange between Richard and John that was accidentally sent to me. The message included the words, "we didn't believe her" and questioned whether I was "working" the dealership. As a returning customer who was simply trying to understand the numbers before putting down a deposit and committing to a significant financial obligation, I found this extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I ultimately decided to lease my new Acura from another dealership, where my questions were answered clearly, the numbers were explained upfront, and I felt respected throughout the entire process. When John Redman later contacted me to ask whether Bedford Hills was still under consideration, I politely told him that I had decided to move forward with another dealership. His response was, "Somehow I expected more." I found that response disappointing and unprofessional, particularly as a returning customer. I really wanted to remain a customer of Acura of Bedford Hills because of my previous relationship with the dealership, but this experience left me disappointed. Clear communication, transparent pricing, and respectful treatment of customers--especially returning customers--go a long way.

    Mega Auto Sales

Personally, I think buying a car is the worst buying experience someone can have. Fortunately Mega…read moreAuto Sales worked hard to reverse my thinking on that one. From sales to administration, they have their act down pat. I needed to trade in my Lexus RX330 for whatever I could get(mindset was to downsize to the best used Camry ,with the lowest miles). I did a lot of homework first before going there....had my car appraised by three different shops, searched for cars privately on Yahoo, Craigslist, Ebay, Google (and of course dealer online inventory). Mega had the perfect car for me, and offered me top dollar on my trade. My Toyota was an excellent buy compared to the prices I saw all over the place, and I could not be happier with my experience at Mega.

He let us take a lengthy test drive. He was transparent about the car's history and some recent work he had completed. He gave us what I felt was a fair price. He told us a few maintenance items that might need taking care or down the road (which we had done). The car was registered and inspected, cleaned and ready when he said it would be. Best of all, now that we have 15k more miles on this VW, and gotten to know the car, we know this was a fair deal, which given a 10+ year old car is perhaps unusual. Thanks Ernest. I know we'll be back someday, next time we need a good used car.

Both insisted they would need to do a full diagnostic on the vehicle that could take at least an hour and possibly more at over $200 per hour rate. I contacted my salesperson; Alex and he gave be simple instructions that took less than two minutes. I am sure the local dealers knew that and were just trying to upsell. Had I been more naive, I probably would have acquiesced. Cannot speak more highly of this dealer and specifically, my salesperson, Alex.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Honda of Mount Kisco…read more When I returned my leased vehicle, I was explicitly told that nothing was owed on my account. Months later, I received a letter from the bank stating that I owed over $3,500, which had already begun damaging my credit. This came as a complete shock, as I relied on the information provided by the dealership at the time of lease return. After receiving the notice, I contacted the dealership numerous times. I was repeatedly told that they were working with the bank and that part of the balance would be taken care of. Unfortunately, after those assurances, communication stopped entirely. No one followed up with me, and no resolution was provided. I emailed the manager, Haris Deljanin, on April 6th of this year and never received a response. Daniel Salamanca, the sales manager, was in contact with me briefly but failed to follow through or return my calls as promised. As a result of misinformation and lack of accountability, my credit has been significantly impacted. This situation could have been avoided with accurate communication and proper follow-up. Instead, I was left to deal with the financial and credit consequences on my own. I expected professionalism and transparency from a dealership representing the Honda brand. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I have contact the attorney generals office and forwarded all proof. These types of dealerships are why people do NOT trust car salesmen.
