Extremely Disappointed Long-Time Ford Customer - Will Not Buy a Ford Again I've been a Ford owner since I was 16 years old. My first car was a Mustang, and over the decades I've remained loyal to the brand. Unfortunately, my experience with Scarsdale Ford has finally broken that loyalty for good. My 2018 vehicle (78k + miles) has been waiting for a replacement part that was promised no later than November 21. No one from the dealership bothered to call and inform me that the part is now delayed until sometime in December. Because of this, I've been forced to continue driving with an expired inspection sticker, illegally, putting me at risk of tickets or worse. This is the SECOND time this exact same part is being replaced. Had the original repair been done correctly, I wouldn't be in this situation at all. When I asked about a loaner vehicle, I was told that because my car has over a certain mileage, I "don't qualify." That's a slap in the face to someone who supported the brand when the vehicle was new and came in religiously every 3,000 miles for service. Apparently loyalty only matters when the odometer is low. The complete lack of proactive communication, the dismissive attitude, and the refusal to take any ownership of the repeated failure have been the final straw. Poor customer service is one thing--this feels like being punished for continuing to own a Ford past the warranty period. After this experience, I will never purchase another Ford vehicle, and I will make sure my family, friends, and social media followers know exactly why. A two to three day repair of my sunroof took eight days. I got a rental car for three days after being told it would take that long to get my car back. No car. So I extended my lease for another day. No car. I couldn't afford to extend it again. So I had to take cabs to and from work. The rental and cabs cost me over $500. When my car was finally ready I was not offered but had to ask for a discount. The service person asked me, "a discount? For what?"He did give me 10% off. read more

I've been taking my vehicles to the Scarsdale Ford Service Department for a good number of years. I like the work they do. They take the time to discuss issues regarding my vehicles. Shortly after purchasing my F-150 truck from a Ford dealership in southeastern Connecticut, I took my truck to Scarsdale Ford since the engine was knocking. The Scarsdale Ford Service Advisor told me that my truck was low five quarts of oil and was not "prepped". In addition, my truck was a "demonstrator" and was sold it to me as "new". By far the worst service department I have ever dealt with. Noone calls you back with updates, no one does the work they say they are going to do. Noone could figure out what was going on with my car, and most of the time it was just parked behind the dealership. Ralph gets annoyed when you call and ask for updates on your car claiming he never knows any updates. Waited four days to any updates, which I only got when I myslef called, and ended up just picking up my car without anything being done. Picked up the car, no paperwork, no explanation of what was even attempted to be done, or apology for what went on. Stay far away if you want your car actually fixed or have someone that will at least let you know what is going on with your car. I received a letter letting me know of a recall issued on my steering wheel. Gave me enough details of the problem and I didn't want to wait long before scheduling an appointment......so took action real quick. Given an 8:30 appointment for a Wednesday and was told, the repair would take about an hour- which worked fine then head to work after. Ford Service's entrance is on Ardsley Rd (off Central Ave) with a new Valet Service feature. Waiting room is welcoming and very polished- with a woodsy design and comfortable leather chairs. Complimentary coffee, water and a few other things available. Folks here are thorough and know their stuff. Charmane is a sweetheart who makes sure everything is on the up and up. Then there's Lou who also handles Service questions and schedules appointments. An hour for the repair? Not really. But these guys are key players and had me on my way out as soon as they could. Besides, they addressed an issue..... a car issue at that for God sakes......so I had to lay low. So thank you, for the pleasant experience and customer service. read more

Do not go here, I took my Expedition there to get the AC fixed, I paid for it, still not fixed. The next three times they told me it was something else and charged me again. After three times it still was not working. Ralph kept telling me pay more and we'll see if that works. Tried to reach the manager, Phil, did not return my calls. Took it somewhere else and they fixed it with no problem. They were trying to run a scam on me to see how much money they can get out of me. Do yourself a favor find a local mechanic, a lot of these dealers make their money off of unsuspecting customers with outrageous labor fees and lack of integrity. They charged my poor brother-in-law $9,000 to fix his Ford truck! My brother-in-law asked them to please fix it so it can pass inspection. I told him please don't ever go to a dealership to fix your car. He went because he was desperate to pass inspection thinking they would do the honorable and right thing. On Friday, July 5th, I put a deposit of $500 on a 2020 Shelby GT500. I drove from RI to New York to look at the vehicle the following Monday. I was interested in the vehicle however I asked if the vehicle was going to pass inspection since there seemed to be modifications to the vehicle. They checked and the vehicle failed inspection. I informed them that I was still interested in the vehicle however the issue needs to be resolved so keep me updated on the repair status. Both the Sales Manager and the Service Manager agreed. Per my discussions with them they took the vehicle in as a trade and didn't inspect the vehicle. Two weeks went by and I didn't receive any updates or return calls to my voicemails. I finally got a hold of the sales associate who told me the vehicle was sent to the auction and the manager should have informed me. I told her no one ever followed up with me and I need my $500 refund. Her response was well I'm with a customer so text me the info or come back to get your refund. Really!!! I'm going to drive from RI to NY for something that can be done over the phone? This dealership is very unprofessional...stay away! I've already reported them to my credit card bank and will be contacting Tasca Autogroup who just acquired Scarsdale Ford to report the issue. Very poor customer service!!! read more

I purchased my vehicle certified used from this dealer ship server 3 years ago the vehicle is only 5 years old. The transmission went in 2019 and the racking pinion recently went. In 2019 when the transmission went I couldn't get a loaner from the dealer and couldn't get my car back for 2 weeks so I had to pay out of pocket for a rental. Fast forward to present day. At a local local shop I would only be charged $1800 for the work of replacement of a racking pinion but my car was still under warranty so I thought to use the service center because the repair is covered under the warranty. I dropped my car off then went to get a rental because the service said they no longer give rentals. Two weeks after dropping my car off it still hadn't been worked on while I'm paying out of pocket for this rental. The excuse I was given was that the Ford warranty didn't approve the work. I had to call Ford warranty and speak to them and they told me that they had to review the photos of the car and they had just got the photos after my car had been there for over two weeks. I didn't get the car back for another week. My rental bill was over $1800. I do not recommend this dealership or there service center. I received an email about my experience and left all the same details in the survey that I left above minus the details about the my transition repair experience. I guess they didn't want people know the truth about how the can be serviced at that location because emailed me back saying that they couldn't post my email because of the information input in the survey. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I don't not recommend this location. Save yourself go somewhere else. It's frustrating enough having car trouble but when you pay for a warranty and utilize it at the service center but it cost you more money and time then going to a local shop, is the warranty even worth it? read more

I retook it back and the repair representative must have had a bad day. However we made an appointment with the service manager - Phil Coiro and he was truly a professional. I went to Scarsdale Ford for oil change on my 2008'Ford Explorer and was told that my heater coil had a leak and that I needed a new coil that cost $1489 plus tax . The service dept.worker showed me the leak that I said looked like a leak at the clamp and hose connection,the service guy insisted the coil was the location of the leak. I took my Explorer to a local gas station and they fixed the leak with a new hose and clamp for $40 be careful on any big job this dealer tells you that you need. read more

Everytime I come here I have not had a problem. Everyone seems happy to talk to you and to explain what exactly is wrong with your car. The manager is really nice and no one is really trying to tell you the wrong info. I come from Queens now but it is still worth the drive. They have always accepted my coupons, sometimes even given me lower prices and they alwasy have accepted the Ford rewards program. Other people who don't have Fords bring their cars in here as well. The mechanics know what they are doing. I have had scheduling problems in the past (I have been going here for about 5 or 6 years now) but if you make the appointment online or if you ask to talk to the manager when making the appointment, you will never have a problem. The few times that I had an issue were liek 2 years ago when I think they were trying to squeeze me in. I have not had that problem since. There is a reason why they have so many service awards. When I picked up my vehicle the salesperson spent ample time explaining all of the features. It's a Titanian so it is fully equipped. So why write about it two years later. Because they continue to be just as consistent with their service. I receive notice reminders for service. I set up appointments easy and get in and out on a timely fashion. Within 5 minutes they started setting things up and called me into the service bay. In the next 5 minutes I was subjected to the most pressing "up-sell" I have ever had and I have spent my life as a salesman! I told them to put everything back where it was. Service department sucks to say the least. Rude as hell. I went there for an oil change and a check on my battery that went dead. Lets understand, I am a new customer with a 2016 Explorer that I just bought out right (not a lease or finance). This is my first time with Scarsdale Ford service dept. 2+ hours later I finally get my car and go home. Not to mention they wouldn't give me the $10 off that Ford kept sending me a coupon for to use on my first visit. Nope , that has to be used on line..WTF!!!!!! The service dept was so rude and said sorry we are busy what can I say. Its just like a doctors office, you have to wait. Well yes, but at least they don't make you wait an hour and a half till your car is brought in the shop. Never again will I use Scarsdale Ford service dept. I did not buy a focus or a fiesta from you guys. I bought a 15 Mutang GT premium. I come in for squeeking back and forth over the course of several months. I am courteous and always gives Scarsdale Ford service guys the benefit of the doubt. But I know when I take it in they don't take at what my concerns are. I have my work authorization at check in and pickup both reading the same mileage. How could the vehicle properly been looked at and my concern addressed if it was never driven. Of course after picking up the vehicle and seeing this I drove the car and the issue I presented itself instantly just like the first time I brought it(didn't have time to bring it back). I went straight to the manager confronted him about the mileage he said "oh that is just how it is printed out". But what ever I just wanted my car fixed. He comes drives my car the sound presented it's self instantly be he claims he still didn't here it. I went in and called a service guy he heard it instantly and looked at it and pointed out the issues instantly on the front and back roter. If he was able to isolate the issue instantly had someone looked at it they would of been able to solve the issue instead of me going through this. I've had to drive my car with the squeeking for so long. The car has less than 15k miles on it. I finally pick up the car and the front Rogers have been re surfaced and they said they can't do anything about the back. I think you guys should take care of the back because had this been caught when I first brought it in the back roters would have been caught and not gotten as bad. Also the tires that just got replaced were given to me with low air. I filled them both up, the front right tire is leaking air. Reached out to Scarsdale ford no answer left a message for the service manager for someone to call me back. Still no one has called me back. I'd appreciate if someone reaches out and we can further discuss this issue. I've been a fan of the mustang since I was a child and have always wanted one. My experience with service after buying my first one has been horrible. We have three ford vehicles in my family when those other vehicles need service we don't bring them to ford. I will not ever pay for this type of service. But the smart thing to do is to move away from Ford entirely. Which is unfortunate considering my love for the Mustang. read more

i had to bring my cuz 2018 ford fusion to the service dept as a favor due to the car stalling whenever the car stops .it's still under the 3 year 36,000 mile basic warranty so my wallet will stay in my pocket .the scarsdale ford dealership is on central ave so i have the choice of waiting at the lounge area while watching tv while grabbing some free coffee or walk to the starbucks which is less then a 5 minute walk . the entrance is off central ave and just pull up and go inside while the service rep takes some info . before i could ask how long it would take i gladly saw a worker drive the fusion into the service area and was told to leave my number and will get a call when it's ready or whatever . not going to hang around so it's off to starbucks which at 730 am already crowded . got my post and daily news , a corner chair , a large cappy , blueberry muffin and it's waiting for scarsdale ford to call me back . got a call back at 915 am to come pick up the car it's fixed . the ignition module was defective and was replaced . headed back to service office area , signed the invoice which explained what was done and waited outside while the car pulled up ready to exit . glad to do my cuz a favor and all under 2 hours , if your ford needs service i would recommend coming here especially if car is still under warranty . read more
