I brought my car over to get a replacement for a damaged tire. I was told "30-45 minutes, we'll call you when it's ready". I came back after two hours of hearing nothing to find out that they didn't repair the tire and that the shop was closed for the weekend. I've had slow service here in the past but this is by far the worst service yet. 1 star is too many, but 0 isn't an option. read more

We were heading out of town for vacation and our trailer brakes stopped working. We called tons of places in the vail Valley as we were coming through and no one could help us. We stopped just to ask if Big o could help and one of the guys said he'd try. He and two other guys came out and worked hard to bleed the brakes and get us back on the road. Had the most incredible experience here! I was on the way to an eight hour trip, and one hour in, I got a flat tire on I 70. They were open and easy to get in touch with. They gave me a quote on a new tire and installation before I arrived and stayed a little late to make sure the tow truck was able to get my car in. I was out of town for the next week still, and they were in contact with me all week. They were super helpful, friendly, and upfront with all costs. Really nice people. It took almost 3 hours to get a simple oil change. I was told that there was only one person in line in front of me and their car was already in the bay being worked on when I got there. When I checked in after two hours of waiting patiently, I was told it would be "10 more minutes". We went to this location- they were able to accommodate us immediately and able to locate and fix the issue within 20 mins. They did not even charge us for this service. I got a flat tire while camping near Vail and in a panic looked up where it can be fixed that day due to most places being closed Sunday. Big O's was able to get me in even during an incredibly busy time. I expected to wait 2-3 hours for my car but it only took about 45 minutes which was about as long as a nice walk down to the river. I was even able to get an oil change. The price was fair and I was willing to pay almost anything. Highly recommend!! Hugo was awesome. read more

SCAM Don't take your vehicle here. Dropped mine off at 12pm Tuesday for an alignment. They told me they'd call me in an hour with information and never did and when i tried to call back they would immediately put me on hold after not being able to get ahold of them their day ended. I called over 10xs. What if i had a medical emergency, didn't live here. Was i going to be compensated for the delay/trouble? Called Wednesday morning to see what was the problem they said it needed over 2,000 before they could do a 170$ alignment. This place is a scam and wouldn't take anything there. Had a fantastic experience today. Had a pretty nasty puncture in my tire on my GTI. Im in the process of moving from CA to Denver and sent the rest of the family ahead while I stayed behind to get my tire fixed. Had gone to two other shops that were too busy to be bothered to fit me in. The very nice gentleman behind the counter at Big O Tires fit me in and the tech had me fixed up so quickly and back on the road to meet up with my family. UPDATE: To my point their reply implies that this was resolved when this business refuses to take accountability for what they did and I'm being forced to file in small claims court. Criminals. The owner of this establishment has decided instead of tightening up his shop...to call me a liar, even though hes been presented with proof. The business model here is clearly predatory and unprofessional and they take no responsibility for their failure (and fraud). I bought a set of winter tires last December but we were renting a small condo. Big O Tires graciously offered to store my brand new all season tires for the winter which solved my problem. Come April, I went to retrieve the tires and the manager working confidently said that they have a policy against ever storing tires. I told them that that could not possibly be true. After a few more calls I spoke to somebody else working there who claimed to know exactly where my tires were and said to disregard the manager, "he doesnt know what he's talking about." I collect my 4 individually wrapped tires and take them home. They sit in my garage for a few weeks before I take them in when i bring my car for service in May. They swap the tires that Big O returned. Today, on I70 my front right tire blew out at 75MPH. Turns out Big O Tires, LOST my 4 brand new tires, gave me some old set of tires that were neither the brand or the size of the tires id brought in...and my life was put in great danger today...thank goodness my 6 year old wasnt with me. I paid $1200 for the All Season tires in May 2021 that Big O Tires LOST, $800 for the Snow tires at Big O Tires and today was forced to pay $1250 to replace the trash tires Big O put my life in danger with. $3200 total tire expense this year (12 brand new tires). Meanwhile, trying to get an explanation today on the phone the individual who picked up the line was hostile, inept, irresponsible and unprofessional. I was hung up on, put on indefinite hold, disregarded and treated with blatant disrespect. This place might be the only game in town but I suggest you avoid it like the plague. Never ever have I been endangered and treated with such contempt than trying to make sense of this business. read more

Last fall, I had my snow tires put on by Big O. Big mistake. Big O stole my summer tires. After my snow tires were out on and I went to my car, I saw right away that they didn't put my summer tires in the back trunk, as I requested. I drove down to the bay and inquired, and I was told that I "requested" my tires be disposed of. This is untrue: those tires came with my new car and had maybe 10,000 miles on them. I wouldn't ask that they be disposed. After some grumbling, the worker walks away, gets tires, and bagged them to put in my car. I asked, are you sure those are mine? He said yes, and I believed him. Never trust Big O. Today I go to put my summer tires back on my car at a place closer to my home, not Turns out that those tires he put in the back of my car actually don't even fit my car and are completely bald. Now I have to buy a whole new set of tires. Big O, would you like to pay me $750? Because that's what I'm spending on tires to replace the nearly new ones you stole. I'm never trusting you to touch my car again. Don't make my mistake. Update: despite taking my phone number, no one from Big O called me. Update 2: Big O reached out on Yelp, gave me a number to call. I called, left a message three days ago, and still haven't heard back. Still a total scam. read more

Please be careful with this business. The owner is sadly not an honest human. Their employee offered to store $1400 brand new Bridgestone Run-Flat tires that were on my car...in order to sell and install a new set of snow tires for the season. Turns out, in addition to that commission, they did so so they can likely sell them online privately (or perhaps in coordination with the owner who doesnt seem to mind their employees robbing customers). In april when I collected the tires they were worn down and the wrong size and ended up blowing out on I70 If you love your family and enjoy your safety and honor...you'd be alone in this establishment. I took my truck to big o in Avon to have the tires balanced, all 4 wheels on my truck were damaged during this process. upon noticing this damage I asked to speak to management, the manager on duty Peter was zero help with this issue. I was told there is nothing he can do but will spray paint them if I wanted. he then informed me that removal of stick on weights with a rubber hammer is standard practice. this is not true, there was clearly metal on metal contact. a plastic scraper and solvent is standard practice. these are aftermarket wheels, spray paint will not match nor fix the gouges cause by a hammer. at this point I left the shop and called corporate to file a claim. While I was on the phone with national corporate the employee who damaged my wheels drove by in another customers car, reved it up almost peeling out while staring at me with a smerk shaking his head laughing. most unprofessional store I've ever done business with. This damage was done by Big o tires in Avon, Colorado 81620 this took them 7 hours, I also wanted an alignment. while I was figuring out how to handle the damage they caused to my wheels I watched both alignment racks sit empty for well over an hour as I was told they are behind on alignments today. at this point I told them I no longer wanted this work to continue. I manage a fleet of vehicles, own 5 vehicles my self, have many friends in the area with many vehicles. I guarantee this location will never get my, nor many others business after this very disappointing interaction. if you have any type of nice wheel on your vehicle avoid this place, incompetence is there motto. #bigotires No one in the shop was wearing a mask, I entered the managers office wearing a mask, manager made zero effort to find a mask even though I came in with one on! read more

I went into this establishment to fix the alignment. They told me it was the ball joints on a 2013 Chevy Tahoe was shot and needed replacement! I was in a bind with work so I needed to get it repaired ASAP. I foolishly let them touch my truck. It took them approximately 2 hours to do it and it still pulled to the left. They then tried to push a whole set of tires. I called my mechanic in Minnesota and he informed me that it should have taken two to three times the amount of time to replace the ball joints and that they had "taken" me for the preverbal "ride". Upon finding this information I called several times and stopped in twice to speak to the manager and to no avail. I left my number and asked them to contact me and I NEVER received a call, voicemail or a God damn email! This place sucked! read more

BIG NO On a $1400 bill with minor repairs they couldn't even accomplish an oil change properly. Stripped the drain plug. They did not replace 2 of the 8 spark plugs. They did not properly hook the wires up. So I drove 1000 miles misfiring on 4 cylinders. The reason it was brought in the first place was a CV axle which they charged for and did not even replace the part. 4 months and countless phone calls and visits later they have not rectified the situation. Our tire had a slow leak before our drive back to Denver so we stopped in to get it checked out. Within 45 minutes we were back on the road after they found a nail in the tire and patched it up. Just......NO! Broken lug nuts on multiple vehicles. Stripped oil pan drain plug. Multiple center caps popped off after tire rotations. Broken TPMS sensors. Tire weights fly off 2 miles down the road. Now, I must say, they have always fixed the problem. Purchased above parts and installed for me( after proving fault) . It's hard for them to find mechanics to stay so you never know what you're going to get. Read the other reviews before taking this risk. Excellent service no matter what you go there for. Though I like to support the local tire shops, This Big O location is hard to beat on both service and price. Just got an oil change at this location and they provided me a complete diagnosis of all the fluids in the car. Honda service wanted me to spend hundreds on flushing the transmission fluid based on mileage, but Big O's DNA showed the fluid was fine. I also had a tire balance issue that the local tire shop I purchased the tires from could not get right (even after three attempts). Took it to Big O and they got it right the first time. I will be purchasing tires from Big O in the near future because of the way they have taken care of me. read more

I started to come here out of convenience, but after 4 amazing years they have earned my loyalty and a big glowing review. I have put 3 sets of tires on and had a handful of services done. In almost every case they talked me out of buying something unnecessarily expensive, or advised me to wait on certain services, as I didn't need them as early as I thought. My last set of all season tires from them lasted almost 60k miles on an all-wheel drive vehicle that I take down to Denver at least a dozen times a year and use in all conditions. Since I bought the service plan - which includes repairs, rotations, and balances - I was able to get all three flats that I incurred during the life of those tires fixed, usually in under a few hours, and drive away at no cost to me. I think all three times they pulled some huge piece of metal out, and were still able to patch the tire. Bravo! When I got my newest tires I needed new rear-axle breaks and since they came in at a really fair price comparatively, I went ahead and did it through them. So far so good and they got all the work done in less than 12 hours, over Labor Day Weekend. I believe the owner's name is Peter and he not only has treated me well, but I can tell by the way I've seen other customers treated, that the whole staff really cares about customer service. Big O has plenty of tires. But they lack Covid-19 safety and customer service. Not my first unpleasant experience here, so time For a review. For Covid - 0 masks on staff. 0 social distancing markers. 0 sanitizing of cars. 0 sanitizing of staff. 0 hand sanitizer for customers. Their "we care about your safety" bit is patently false. For service - I just spent 90 minutes waiting for a summer tire change that never happened. When delays occurred, they did not inform. When tires had issues, they had no solutions. I hit a pothole in Vail & had to buy at least two new tires because my run-flat tire was not repairable. I opted to replace all 4 with traditional tires after Peter, super informative, explained the benefits of going back to a traditional tire; smoother ride, last longer, better mileage, & less cost! I have a Mini & the tires are small - Colorado roads are very hard on them (2nd time I had a tire do this). The AAA guy recommended the same thing. The only benefit is the run flat allowed me to get off the highway, somewhere safe. But if they damage easier & have to be replaced regularly- not worth the benefit. We'll see! I was really impressed with their service & friendliness; fast & efficient. With national pricing, it did not cost more than in Denver, & I was in/out in less than an hour on a Friday, right before a big holiday. They offered other services while it was there but were not pushy, & recommended I do them right when I get back home, since I didn't have the time. And, Big O rotates & balances your tires for the life of your tires, at any location. I opted for the warranty because it is so easy to completely ruin a tire on a Mini. Terrible customer service. They sold me 1 out of 5 wrong rated tire for my diesel truck and missed it for several rotations. When I had to have the tires rotated by another vendor that's when it was discovered. They acted like I was an inconvenience when after 2 years of failed service that I wanted the tire replaced. You cannot trust their techs as they almost put the same rated tire to replace their first mistake. Got told to leave after they couldn't get the spare up under the truck and they let me drive away with the spare dangling underneath. Not a single email or phone call was returned, no one followed up about their poor service, and their corporate web site said it is a franchise and their hands were tied. Pulled in to Big O and Justin worked out the logistics of getting a replacement tire in to Grand Junction where we were going to be staying that night. This company does not care about its customers... brought my car in at 10:38am on a Monday morning. They tell me it may be 2 hours... I'm ok with that... I had the technician come to my car to check the tread count to see if I could use these tires for another season or possibly did I need to buy new ones... after his checking of the tread count with a special tool I was told I'm all good for another season. After 4 hours I heard nothing from big O so I called with only a voice message (took 16 calls to get through) I continued calling till I finally got a human at the shop who proceeded to tell me 2 of my tires were not up to par Tread wise and n their opinion and I should buy new ones from them! Now I'm ok with that except after 4 hours they should have called me well before or when they inspected my tires. I ended up taking the tires across the street to a Russian auto body shop and it turns out the tires were ok for another season. I'll never go back to Big O tires and I encourage all of you to do the same or expect the same shitty customer service I received. And so you all know I never received even a thank you or hey sorry we couldn't help when I picked up my car. it was basically a fuck You... Absolutely disgusted about the customer service. I got an oil change and they did not put the skit plate underneath my car back on properly. 5 minutes after leaving the shop it comes off while I was driving. The manager said he would purchase another part for me, but that it was on back order for a while since my car was new. I was patient and understanding and waited a while for a call back. For the time being they zip-tied the skit plate back under my car. Winter rolls around and the snow takes off one of the zip-ties. I came back to Big O and told them I cannot drive like this so just take it off. Asked if there was an ETA on the part that I ordered and they didn't have an ETA. I called back a month later and asked for an ETA and an gentleman at the front told me November or December 2020. February 2021 rolls around and I have not received a call at all. I called and asked about my part and he said he will look into it and call me back.... of course never got a call back. I called AGAIN and he said IT WAS NEVER ORDERD!!! Almost a year coming up since this incident happened and you are telling me it was never ordered ????? He supposedly looks up the part and says it is on back order. I asked him if I find it somewhere else and purchase it will you give me a refund. And he told me YES we will reimburse you. I called Honda dealership in Glenwood Springs and they have the part and can get it to me in 2 days. How is it that I was able to call Honda once and find the part in 5 minutes that easily, but it is taking a year for Big O to get me my part???? I asked the the new manager the following day for reimbursement and he says "why are we even refunding you for this part?" ... so we are going to act like we don't know what has been going on for the past year? I have NEVER in my life have had such a difficult time talking to an auto shop. I truly fell like I am talking to a wall.
