Clarence could care less about your time or providing information. Less than 20 minutes after receiving a verbal quote for various services from the other front of house person - he has always been great - and returning with my vehicle, Clarence let me know that he could not give me further information and I would have to sit and wait until they could get me in, 3 hours later. I indicated that I received a quote earlier and he said he was too busy to look into it, because he had phone calls. This is not the first adverse experience with this shop, particularly Clarence, and I would avoid it at all costs, if possible. Stay away, if at all possible and, if Clarence is serving you, ask for another representative. **Follow up - the shop in Eagle Vail quoted about $200 less and did so in writing. When I called them about this, they were gaslighting me that I brought the vehicle in with the engine light on. I trusted this place to work on car and now it's underivable. Had my friend bring his 2003 suburban to get the blower motor swapped and they couldn't even figure out how to swap the easiest blower motor in the world in 5 hours. It's a 20 year old vehicle, it takes 5 seconds to look up the parts on alldata and recognize that there are two different connector options after GM did a recall, which means you always have to crimp on connectors. Alldata even tells you which connector to get, if you put the vin in like you're supposed to do. I'll be doing it myself this weekend. In the meantime the kids will be wearing their ski jackets in the car all week. Embarrassing. read more

We were in Winter Park for a family vacation. Had a strange, concerning noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. Originally, after calling in to make an appt, they told me they could see me in 2 days. There was a bad winter storm coming in at the end of the week, I needed to get in sooner. Went by shop & talked to Zach, told him we needed to be road ready before the storm. They then got me in the very next day, diagnosed the issue immediately, ordered the part I needed and got me rolling the next morning. All in all, repairs made in less than 24 hrs. These guys are honest and fair! We were headed to camp for July 4th and had some concerns with warped brake rotors after Loveland pass and feeling slight shaking. They were able to take us quickly for a Free brake check (a lot of places were over booked & quoted days out), they took the time to explain everything, and they did not pressure us to move forward. The damage was minor so we opted to continue on our vacation and are going to have it fixed in Denver bc labor would be 2 hours (this is standard for the fix.) THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUNG WOMEN. horrible experience although a couple years back, went in because coolant was out and burnt a tiny hole in the tubing, causing a leak. car over heated. they told us it would be a complete engine replacement costing $5k, at least. our only other option would be to tow the car to Denver and buy a brand new vehicle. One of the techs came out to us after his shift and told us what the real issue was. We topped off the coolant as we drove home 6 hrs and had no issues. side note the car was driven after fixing the tubing and lasted up until I ran down a cow in Nevada. oops. Car #1 brought in for tire swap $160! and they tried not giving back my summer tires with 4K miles on them, were charging $5 per tire for disposal , basically brand new tires... had to argue that charge and to get the tires back.. which i'm sure someone there had already claimed. Got the car back.. check engine light still on ( was what they replaced even the problem???). brought back, Guy said $100 to diagnose with computer? Say what? I came into Shell to get an oil change and they quoted in $150 which I thought was high, but they could do the work right away, so I had them go ahead... and said let me know if it needs anything else to let me know. They called later and said my air filter and cabin filter were filthy so I said go ahead and change them. When I showed up to pickup my truck they presented me a bill for $460. I called and asked how much to switch out winter to summer and they told me it was $95, they told me that the summers I had were no good, so I needed to get new set of tires, they told me that the tires I needed were back ordered, so I went and found a set on my own, when I brought it back to them to install they charged me $150, because they were my own tires, but the tires I brought to them were my "own" as well. They also said that since I didn't buy them from them it was $150, which doesn't make sense because I never bought the original tires from them either. Completely didn't make any sense, and the kicker was that when I finally drove away the tire pressure were all low.....with the $150 you would think they would of checked but guess they didn't, I am disappointed to say the least. read more

We were in Avon from St. Louis and unexpectedly found we had a screw in our tire. We called Avon Auto on a Friday morning, and they told us to come on in. As soon as we arrived, they got our keys and had our car up on the rack. It turned out the screw hadn't even punctured the tire and within 20 minutes we were on our way. Went in to Avon Auto & Truck with a "check engine"light on. They ran diagnostics which signaled an issue that was a known problem with my model engine. They recommended contacting Toyota as it was most likely still under warranty (which I did, and it was). While they didn't fix my issue, I appreciate that they pointed me in the right direction for what could have been a costly repair. I will return to use their services again. read more

One of there main employees said they did a test drive on my vehicle and that the vehicle was in normal working condition in their opinion. I asked for an email stating that and they wrote an email saying they did more than they originally said. When they were questioned on that email, they stated that they never wrote the email. The email was sent from their email address, but they still insisted they did not write it, or would NOT back up their original statement. We were recently on a family vacation in Beaver Creek. I discovered a small metal piece in a tire causing a slow leak on Wednesday. We were leaving early on Saturday morning for a 13 hr drive home so having a new tire was essential. After getting the run around and spending 3 hrs at a competitor (The Big O) nearby, our hotel recommended Avon Auto & Truck. I called them on Thursday morning to make sure they could get the tire on time. Since I was out of the area with family for the day, Brandon helped me make sure I had the right tire size and got the tire for me. He was honest and professional. They put the tire on Friday morning in about 45 min. and I was back to enjoying the last day of vacation. Even more importantly I knew I could make the long drive home safely. Told him I had a lunch meeting across the street and he said he could fit me in. I showed up 15 minutes after he said he would have the work done, and he said it would be another 45 minutes. And he is quite rude on top of it. Then he tells me I need my brakes and rotors replaced. He must have thought I was an idiot. I just had my vehicle inspected by a reputable shop that said I had 8 mm left on my pads and I should get another 30,000 miles or so. Total scam artist and RUDE on top of it. Avoid at all costs. If you like paying retards 120/HR to fix your car then you've come to the right place. I do most of the work on my car but some stuff I don't have the tools for. I was fed a line of bull shit about a wheel bearing. It was replaced on the opposite side I had bad tire wear and noise. I was told the noise time times reverberates to the other side of the issue. After replacing wheel bearing, they couldn't produce the part to show me the wear. I skill have same noise and I ruined a brand new set of tires. These guys are my go-to car alignment, rotation, oil change people in Avon. They always manage to get me in and out relatively quickly and have helped me out with random questions (wiper issues, snow build-up in wheel wells, etc). They have always been very honest and up front with any other issues and never charge for unnecessary upgrades. If you are semi-aware of issues when you go in, you can more easily decipher what is needed- not sure what others were talking about saying they were overcharged. Be smart people! read more

It is an older Ford Explorer that needs attention. These guys have been really good for my needs. The prices are fair, the service is quick, appointments have worked well and I've been very satisfied.
