First time eating at Valentina's and it was packed even though it was a Tuesday. We sat at the bar and were greeted by one of the friendliest bartender's I've ever met! Her name is Zoe and she is simply the best! I got a Caesar salad for my starter and the homemade croutons were to die for. I got the non alcoholic spritz as a drink and while it was refreshing, it tasted like straight sugar. For my main I ordered the flounder, it was delicious. My favorite part was the artichoke. My partner ordered the lasagna and seemed thrilled with it. For dessert we got the tiramisu. While not pictured, it was thoroughly enjoyed! Loved sitting at the bar, highly recommend. read more

First time coming to Valentina's. It was spur of the moment so we found a place at the bar due to the long wait. Bar tender was a middle-aged black gentleman who was fantastic! Great service, great personality and treated us very well, I wish I got his name! I ordered the bucatini with clams. It was very good, it was different having bucatini vs linguine. My only criticism is that it had a lot of bread crumbs- which I don't think is necessary, however I would order it again! read more

Finally got around to trying Valentina's in bridge park! Great addition to the area! The bread was salty, light and amazing I could have ate so much of that. Great menu, wanted to try multiple items but heard to try the arancini and it did not dissapoint. Great flavor and texture, would love to have it again. Was torn between getting pasta or the pizza, everything looked amazing online, after finally deciding I went with the porcini & truffle pizza and it was so full of flavor and strong taste of truffle so if you love those flavors you will love this pizza. I could only eat a couple slices after being full and it reheats very well in air fryer or microwave! I would have gave the restaurant a 5 star but we didn't have the best service, our waitress was not very attentive, it was Valentine's Day so maybe I can give her the benefit of the doubt but still shouldn't be to much of an issue to refill water which we had to ask for because she didn't do it. Food came out quick, was just more so our server was not around much. I will definitely come back and sit at the bar for happy hour sometime! read more

We started with the Arancini Balls these were delicious. They were fried to perfection and went great with the bread. Before we go any further lets talk about that bread, so good that I had to ask for extra with my dinner. As a main course went with the Lasagna which was so good. Then on to the Cacio E Pepe which I added chicken too. I saw this at another table and had to try. The chicken was pounded flat and was as big as the plate so good and favorable. I really wanted to save room for dessert but there was no way, next time for sure. This place would make a great special date night, as it is a it pricey but well worth it. I do encourage making a reservation, unless you don't mind sitting at the bar. Very clean and our server was outstanding no rushing us through the courses. read more

The service was very good and a lady (maybe a manager) also stopped at the tables to check on the guests. All of our food was delicious. My favorite was dessert though: Brûléed Lemon Tart. Ooh...yum! Five stars tonight because food was tasty and our server Maria F was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to talk to us. She gave us her opinions and was able to explain flavors of the different dishes. I enjoyed the veal papperdella it was tasty but disappointed that the veal was shredded and not a whole filet/ piece. To me that cheapens the meat. Husband ordered buccini and clams. Zesty and delicious. Glad we had a table in bar area. Much quieter. Enjoyed tiramisu as a birthday treat. Wonderful ambience and staff, very attentive. This was our first trip to Cameron Mitchell's latest endeavor. Don't let Open Table fool you, you can get in, you just have to plan accordingly. We were able to get a table for two on Saturday afternoon after the farmers market in bridge park. The food was great. First the Italian salad, which was exactly what we expected with a solid red wine vinaigrette. The meatball was good, but not sure it's worth $13. It's not that good. Main courses were the rigatoni (excellent, with Italian sausage, beef and a sweet red sauce) and the cacio e pepe (delicious). Bread service was solid, with homemade olive oil. Sister Lunch! We ended up having an early lunch reservations, so Valentina's was quiet when we arrived but the place was packed solid by time we left. The space is beautiful and the patio really well-done, as expected. Mandy's old fashioned with truffle honey was tasty and I loved the Linda Evangelista that was a sort of bright citrusy amaretto sour (with cherry foam). For starters, beef carpaccio was the best dish of the meal and arancini was ... arancini. Mandy enjoyed her butternut squash ravioli but in her opinion, the giant cubes of butter squash seemed a bit much considering the filling and the hazelnuts could have been rough chopped. My lamb gnudi was pretty good. Looking forward to returning for paninis and pizzas with the kids. That's probably the way to order. read more

We've only been once and it was alright. We ordered the bruschetta and it was by far the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the carbonara and it was the first time I've seen her send a plate of food back. There was an egg yolk in the middle of it, and it was almost more like an Alfredo sauce than a carbonara and it really didn't sit well with her. She got the spaghetti and meatball, and it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything I'd recommend or rave about. I git the veal papperdele (or however it's spelled) and it was good, but nothing to brag about or tell others they have to try it. The pizzas looked great and others said they were but when I got to a place like this, I hope my main pasta dish is great and non of them were anything special. I'm sure other dishes are better and I'd go back, but probably for pizza and drinks. The atmosphere is nice and depending on the table I'm sure it might be a little quieter. We went and it was almost 90 outside and we were sat by an open window by the noise street and it was pretty warm due to the windows being open. They sat us by a six top of women that were enjoying a birthday and having quite the time. Between all the noise, it made conversation at that particular table and time a challenge and that's ok. The service was decent, but in our only experience there she could have done a little better with a few things but was by no means bad. read more

This is a beautiful chic Italian restaurant in the heart of Dublin. The ambiance is very inviting with the lighting, music, sound, and decor. The decor and interior design really gives you a feel of Italy but in Columbus! The staff were so friendly and attentive to us all throughout to make sure we had an amazing experience. This is a lovely place to either go out on a date, enjoy a birthday dinner, or even a cute girl's night out dinner. The food presentation was stunning. Food was tasty and pasta cooked to the perfect texture, but my only complaint was that every dish was a bit too salty for our table's liking. Haha we were so thirsty afterwards! I would love to go back and try it again because I've heard it's been better. It's a bit on the pricier end but I definitely recommend checking out this place out at least once! read more

We had reservations today at Valentinas for a celebration. The atmosphere was very nice and somewhat elegant. I believe reservations are needed to ensure seating, even for an off-time of 3PM. We all ordered different things, but I did have the veal pappardelle, and tried a slice of the pepperoni pizza. Both were incredible, with fresh pasta and a delicious crust on the pizza. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly, and the overall experience was great. It was a little pricey, but all things considered, it was worth it. I highly recommend Valentinas. It is a great choice for both groups and couples, and has fantastic menu selections that most should enjoy. read more

Wonderful experience at Valentina's a few weeks ago. We had the private dining room, which was a nice treat for a ladies brunch. I wish they had an actual brunch menu. I got the veal pappardelle, which was delicious and very well made. I also got the Bloody Mary, which I did not like. It tasted weird and unfortunately was not very good. Needed to kill 30 min before 16-Bit opened so we stopped in to see what it was all about. Sat at the bar and my girl mentioned it was my bday. The bartender, Andrew, comp'd our first round. Amazing. Told us to order cocktails and recommended the Truffle Old Fashoned. So that's what we ordered. I'm a beer guy and this drink was a little intense but I enjoyed the complexity. Honey and citrus are the dominant notes, finished by cherry and Buffalo Traces signature twang. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio. Amazing. House bread was great! It was a good experience, not great. Was thinking it would be. The best part of the meal was the bread that was free. It was amazing. Ordered the melted pecorino it was really good, however the sliced apples were too thin to be useful, secondly we ordered our mains slightly after and the timing was way off as the main dishes were delivered almost immediately after getting the pecorino. As for the mains my bucatini was stuck together. My daughter enjoyed her spaghetti and meatball. As for my wife's squash ravioli it was very oily. Tried dessert as well, tiramisu was very average, the cookies were good, but the chocolate cake was very good. Overall a typical Mitchell restaurant. I really wanted to like this place a lot as Cameron Mitchell restaurants are almost always really good. Sadly wasn't the case here. My wife and i decided to try this place for our anniversary. As we arrived and waited for our reservation time it was evident that no thought at all went into the waiting area and it was quite congested with no real place to stand out of the way. When we were seated we ordered drinks which took forever. I'm pretty sure the bar made then quickly and our server just didn't check on them. The same thing happened when we ordered a second round. We could see them at the end of the bar for 10 minutes just not being picked up. The food was good, until I bit into a fingerling potato's and almost chopped a tooth. Wheni reached in my mouth i pulled out a small rock. I made the server aware. Explained i didn't want a discount but there kitchen should be made aware. She took it and said she'd let them know. We didn't even get a visit from the manager or apology which is just kinda poor customer service. Then going to the restroom before leaving half of them had no toilet paper or were about to run out. Just seems like they aren't focusing on details at this place. Food was good, bruschetta was great, but don't think i will be back any time soon. read more

Stopped in for lunch the other day. Although we had reservations, they were not extremely busy and we probably didn't need them. The host staff was extremely friendly and we were seated quickly, but things slowed down quite a bit from there. It took a while for our server to come to the table and she took our drink orders, and then brought them to us after a few minutes. She placed the drinks on the table without a word and walked off. About 10 minutes later, I ended up having to flag her down to take our orders. Each item was brought by someone different (not the server), but we didn't have to wait long for it to arrive. I had the chicken parmigiana, which was very good, but my wife's salmon was undercooked in some areas. The restaurant itself seemed nice and was certainly clean, we may potentially return at another time to see if maybe dinner service is better. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant. It is great for big parties as well as small get togethers. We were seated promptly. Our server greeted us. She first introduced herself and then asked if any of us had any allergies or special requests. That was a great question to ask. She took our drink orders promptly and brought us a carafe of water. We also gave her our appetizer order of bruschetta. The bruschetta was good, but I feel it could've been on a flatbread with more tomatoes. The chicken Parmesan was a good serving size. The chicken was crispy. Had just enough sauce and cheese on it and the noodles had an Alfredo sauce which was good. The spaghetti I felt, was a little salty. The sauce was a little on the greasy side. I like more of a sweet red sauce flavor. This was a different to me. It wasn't sweet nor spicy. The meatball was good. What can I say? Cameron Mitchell knows how to create a great restaurant. We visited in early May to celebrate a graduation. Service was great. The mozzarella appetizer was very unique - creamy cheese mixed with a fig jam and other ingredients. It made for a very tasty appetizer. The pasta entrees were amazing. Came in on a Sunday afternoon - it was fairly busy but not packed packed. We had a reservation but weren't seated right away. We mostly came in for restaurant week. I went with the Caesar salad as my starter. Not sure if it was just the restaurant week portion but it was kind of pitiful. We both ordered the meatball - which was definitely good. Probably second best I've had in the city. Also got the chicken parm for my entree. Pretty tasty as well. I love that they do it over a bed of rigatoni in a cream sauce. Adds a lot of extra flavor. For dessert went with the tiramisu and lemon torte. Again both good but not mind blowing. Our service unfortunately was pretty slow - and usually I don't love to call that out but this was noticeably slow. Overall I'd say this place is a little closer to 3.5 stars - not sure if the menu is interesting enough for me to venture back in. It is very pretty and elegant on the inside though! read more

My only complaints: they asked me repeatedly about my allergies (which I answered) then served me a dinner with nuts all over it even though nuts were not listed on the menu. I was really excited to try this place, and based upon some reviews it sounded very good. I brought a friend here who was visiting from NY, so obviously has great taste in Italian food. Upon arriving, I told them we had a reservation and was then told we would have to wait. We waited for about 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. So I was not pleased with the start of our visit at all. We were seated at a high top table and it took a while for a server to greet us. Overall, service was very slow and not great. My friend ordered the pasta alla vodka and specifically said no prosciutto as she is allergic to nitrates. When her meal arrived, the prosciutto was in the pasta. I said something, in which they did remake her a new meal within 5 minutes. I ordered the bolognese which was good, just not great! The best thing we had all night was the spritzes and Caesar salad. i dined here as a group of 7 for my birthday and it was spectacular! we originally booked two separate reservations and weren't sure if we'd be sat together but it ended up working out perfectly. Mia took care of us and she was wonderful. She secretly surprised me with a desert plate at the end of our meal and sang happy birthday with all my friends! Extremely disappointed in this place. I've never had a negative experience at a Cameron Mitchell eatery until Sunday 3/10/24. We called a couple of hours ahead and tried to make a reservation for the evening, we were informed they couldn't do any reservations over the phone, which we assumed was because it was same day. We walk in and the two ladies at the front tell us they don't have any tables available until 8 o clock (it was 4:45 when we arrived). We were a party of 4 adults and 1 child. Nothing a regular table or booth can't seat. There was clearly an abundance of tables available, giving them the benefit of the doubt we assumed perhaps they didn't have enough staff to service us so we said we'd wait since our friends really wanted to try this place. We sat down at the waiting benches in the entry and in a condescending tone were asked if we'd like to eat at the bar (we had a 3 year old with us so we declined). While we were waiting within 5 minutes 2 other families walk in (who were coincidentally both Caucasian) they showed up without a reservation (we over heard since we were right there), they were greeted in a friendly way and promptly seated (they were a party of 5 or 6 and the other was a couple). My friend pulled out her phone and pretended to record and after being side eyed by the hostess and her whispering to the other hostess all of a sudden there was a magical table available. We were immediately seated with an attitude (assuming it was because we didn't leave when they told us the wait was long and then we proceeded to wait in the lobby not out of sight of the other customers). In case you haven't figured it out we are people of color. So then we get seated at the most isolated table in the whole place (corner booth facing a window with no other people near us, it was facing the bridge so okay again giving them the benefit of the doubt the view was pleasant and we actually enjoyed the privacy since we weren't sure what to expect from the other employees and didn't want to be further humiliated. The weird thing was the hostess checked if we were still there about 3 times throughout our meal (didn't speak to us or go to any other table for any reason just peaked over to see if we had left). That made for an uncomfortable experience as we were trying to enjoy our meal. As a minority we felt completely discriminated against specifically by these 2 hostess' who decided based on our skin color that we were not a good fit for the restaurant. Newsflash the 1950's are over. The restaurant owner opened up the place to make money not to turn paying customers away. I hope the manager sees this and addresses the issue, perhaps gives them a "keep your racist bias' at home" talk or something or if this is just their policy they might as well be open about it so people who don't agree with that agenda can stay away. The pros: the waiter (Luke) is very professional, he was very helpful with the menu and was very pleasant. The ambiance felt comfortable the music was loud enough to muffle other people's convos but not too loud that we couldn't talk amongst ourselves. The food was great, we would love to go back and try other items on the menu, hopefully our experience being greeted and seated is different though. The star review is for the hostess' racist attitude they had, the food/waiter review is a 5. read more
