Overall, the food was incredible. The Hungarian stuffed peppers were absolutely outstanding, and the Caesar salad dressing was perfect. For my main course, the Numero Uno pizza was excellent and easily one of the best pizzas I have had recently. I also want to specifically commend Greg for his fantastic service and the chef for such a high-quality meal. Why I felt the experience fell slightly short of five stars. Upon arrival, I ordered both a cocktail and a bottle of Acqua Panna water, but only received the cocktail. I had to request the water on three separate occasions from three different staff members before it finally arrived. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that the cocktails are pre-batched. In my opinion, this affects the quality and taste of the drinks. After trying a few different options, I found the quality to be inconsistent with the high standard of the food. For future visits, I would likely stick to wine, beer, or a custom order to ensure the drink is made to order. Thank you again for a wonderful meal and for the great service provided by Greg. I look forward to returning soon.
There were three of us for dinner. Sat on patio. Service was the strangest I've ever had . Three different servers- none introduced themselves. They were quite indifferent like they didn't want to be there and they were doing us a favor. We had to go and get our own straws . We had to go and get our own plates. Never have I ever had such terrible service. When we first got there not very busy so can't use that as excuse.Never had I ever felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. Shame on Osteria - need to have better training - servers need to be friendly and welcoming. The pizza wasn't bad . I don't really care for a bready crust.
We decided to check out Osteria Pizzeria tonight since they had 1/2 off large pizzas after 6--and I'm glad we did. When we got there, the place was busy, but we lucked out and grabbed the last booth. This was actually my first time dining in. I've only had carryout before (a friend brought it over once), but just like last time... it did not disappoint. We started with salads and went with the Italian salad. It had focaccia croutons, sliced pepperoni, tomatoes, shredded cheese, all over mixed greens with a light Italian dressing on the side. Really fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. Then came the pizza. We ordered a large with ricotta, bacon, garlic, and mushrooms--and it was excellent. The crust is light, almost bread-like, baked golden brown, and paired with a lighter sauce that lets all the toppings shine. Everything worked really well together. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated--clean, comfortable, and not over the top. And shoutout to our server, Echo. She was personable, kept our drinks full, and was great to chat with throughout the meal. Overall, just a really nice experience. Good food, good service, and definitely a place I'd come back to--especially for that pizza deal.
Yes, yes, yes to all of the above! I had such a great experience at Osteria Pizzeria on Saturday night. I made a reservation a few weeks in advance because I had tried to go on a weekend before and it was completely booked. I definitely recommend making a reservation. We arrived at 6:30 for ours, and there was a reserved sign waiting on our table. We were seated right away. Everything on the menu looked amazing. I ordered the White Lotus cocktail with Pallini Limoncello, Licor 43, sugar syrup, lemon, and cream. It was so light and easy to drink -- absolutely delicious. My friend ordered a mocktail and didn't love hers, but this review is about what I liked. For starters, we got the Peppers and Oil with marinated peppers, garlic, chili flakes, and house-made focaccia. The focaccia might have been the best part of the whole meal. It was so good that I would honestly eat it on its own. The peppers and oil were excellent as well. We also split a Caesar salad, and I'm glad we did because the salads are huge. It was fresh and really flavorful. For pizza, I highly recommend the Numero Uno with pepperoni, ricotta, banana peppers, hot honey, shredded mozzarella, and marinara. Everything I ordered was fantastic, and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. My friend ordered the Vegetariana with artichoke, mushroom, spinach, red onion, fresh mozzarella, and house pesto, and she really enjoyed it as well. She did order tiramisu for dessert but didn't love it because it didn't have much coffee flavor. Again, this review is about my experience, so I'm still giving it five stars. The entire restaurant is set up so cute -- very modern, stylish, and such a great atmosphere for a night out. I'll definitely be back!
I was really excited to try this new restaurant that I kept hearing about on social media, and got reservations well in advance since they book quickly. It didn't quite live up to the hype though. We came on Tuesday and they were running their half off pizza deals so we went with the numero uno. Even their "large" pizzas aren't really that big, so half off makes it a good price point to try. The pizza tasted decent but for some reason reminded me of a cooked Lunchables pizza, especially the sauce, so that wasn't appealing. For my own dinner I ordered the bolognese, which was $21. The flavor was pretty good, the spices had an earthy undertone I can't really identify but it's also in the aforementioned pizza sauce. The dish also didn't have a lot of meat in it, so be aware. All in all I think it's a decent spot but there's so many other pizzerias in Columbus anyway.
Quaint little place in Old Town. Never been to Old Town before, but I've got to come back in the daylight. I don't think they can seat more than 40 people, but the food is fast coming out of the kitchen. We came in on a Wednesday night at 5:30 with a reservation. By 5:45 the place was full. We were seated, but waited what seemed like 10 minutes for a server. Once she found her way to our table, things went very fast. My daughter had an espresso martini and I had Blanton's Gold, which was absolutely delicious! We started with the focaccia bread and a Caesar salad. Both were very good. My daughter was raving about the salad, as it was heavily dressed. We also ordered the Numero Uno pizza. It was delicious, but could have used a bit more mozzarella, especially around the crust as the top of each slice was barren of anything other than tomato sauce. Regardless, I would not hesitate to return and try their pastas. We were back to our car and on our way to Jeni's in less than 45 minutes.
As a certified bread connoisseur I must first say that the $4 bread service (focaccia) was extremely disappointing. I took one bite and was done with it. The Caesar salad was good, the dressing less creamy and more of a thicker vinaigrette. I enjoyed the flavor of the grilled chicken I added. The star of the show was the lemony ricotta sheets. Osteria's red sauce is superior, I genuinely enjoyed it. I would go back for the pasta and meatballs. The meatballs had good flavor but again the sauce really made them shine. If you enjoy Italian food I'd recommend you make a reservation and give them a try.
Came in on a Friday night and had a reservation for 6:30 (there is no parking lot but there's tons of street parking nearby, even on a busy Friday we found close parking for free). I was able to be seated right away but noticed immediately on the way to my seat that the place is quite small and is very crowded when busy! A lot of trying to scooch out of the way and not run into chairs/servers. Once we were sat, it took a little more than 10 minutes to be greeted/get water, it was definitely busy but also was a little frustrating considering how small the place is and we could see every server lol. We ordered immediately and got the Caesar salad, bolognese tagliatelle, and numero uno pizza. The Caesar was SO GOOD (dare I say my second favorite in Columbus??)! They split it on two plates for us and it came with a lemon wedge, was so fresh and bright tasting. The bolognese was also great! Sauce was yummy, I think it could've used a little more salt, but the tagliatelle was the best part. The noodles tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly! The numero uno was also delicious! Literally the most cheese I've ever seen on a pizza, the cheese pull was insane. The ricotta also tasted like it had herbs and lemon in it which I loved! It's VERY filling and I was only able to eat 1 slice! For dessert I had an espresso and the ice cream with olive oil and sea salt. The espresso was surprisingly amazing and the I loved the ice cream, but my boyfriend was not a fan of the olive oil haha. I will definitely be back, super fun dinner for a weekend! The place is a little claustrophobic at times but the food is worth it!
I was here when it was Yellow Brick Pizza, but this was my first visit to Osteria. I came with Jennifer R and we really enjoyed our service and food. And drinks. We got subs. My Pesto Caprese was amazing. I mean really. I would get it again. I wasn't going to get a drink, but I saw the little table card with seasonal drinks. I don't remember now, but it was maybe a Fall Flavor Manhattan. Very good. I def. want to go back. Great service and really pretty inside.
Disclosure: I am not a huge pizza fan. I know un-American, right? But true. I was coming in thinking I wouldnt like it. I was wrong. We sat at the bar. The place was cute. Brick walls with white accents. Nice long bar with seating. Bar had neon lighting which added a funny touch. Andrew was our barkeeper. He was attentive, funny, and helpful... Plus made a mean drink. I ordered a drink I'll make it and afraid... Don't be afraid of the drink. It is wonderful as the perfect strength and it tastes. Nothing short of delicious. My husband ordered a PBR The menu has a lot of house crafted featured drinks, each one leaves you going oh and ah. So whichever one you pick -you will probably like. I ordered a half salad and it was still pretty large. It was delicious. I'm not gonna lie. I wish I've gotten the full salad. I like salad. They make their own dressings, which is always a plus the dressing was delicious . We ordered the pizza and a sub because we couldn't decide- so we got both. The pizza was very good. It was a chicken pizza with a pesto base, I don't love red sauce as I said above I don't crazy like pizza either . So saying it's very good is probably saying it's excellent. The dough was exceptional. The sub's bread had a nice crunch, but still remained light n fluffy on the inside. It even was was slightly billowy and I don't know how I did it. It didn't seem like there was an excess of bread. It was just perfect. The interior of the sandwich had a lot of meat and also a lot of cheese. Dare I say THE perfect amount of everything. Well all but there may have been a little bit too much mayonnaise for my liking but still it Didnt distract. Plus, I'm a weirdo when it comes to mayonnaise. I don't like a lot of it. I also don't like salad dressing so I guess I am just not a condiments person. After taking a bite of the sandwich, I quickly claim that entire half and push the pizza back to my husband and said you can have this. I'm eating this. That's not to say that the pizza wasn't good, because I did return for another piece and atena slice later at home-which is odd for me not liking pizza. Id say this is a must go to kind of place Yum
Osteria Pizzeria just opened a little over a week ago, and let me tell you, you NEED to give this place a try as soon as you can! Everything about Osteria is spot on! The vibes and aesthetic are phenomenal; it's so inviting and cute and the perfect spot for a great meal with friends or for a date night. The service is excellent and for just opening when they did, I was incredibly impressed with how organized, speedy, and well executed everything was! The pizza first and foremost is so unbelievably delicious! The dough (which is made by scratch over a 3 day process!) is so light and airy, yet flavorful and is one of the best textured crusts I've had on a pizza! The Numero Uno pizza is a must!! In addition to the pizza; the garlic bread is phenomenal, especially with their house ranch; the meatballs are great, & if you're craving pasta; the tagliatelle is unreal!! All of their drinks are spectacular too and you already know they have an authentic espresso maker for the espresso in their martini!
This was one of those dining experiences where you want to tell everyone - because the food was so good, but you also don't want to tell anyone - because the food was so good. We walked in without a reservation, and I would like to keep it that way. It was busy the whole time we were there, so I think the word is out. I loved everything about it. Feels casual but elevated at the same time. Cocktails were incredible. They have a whole menu section of specialty espresso cocktails. Food came out quickly, but tasted like it had taken hours to make. We skipped the pizza and went with hot subs, based on our server's guidance. Meatball sub was one of the best I have ever had anywhere (including NYC). They had some seasonal peachy looking specials and desserts (peach cobbler). Next time I am getting dessert and there will be many next times!
Their happy hour may be the best!! $5 glasses of wine, half off pizza and apps is such a great deal! Everything we had was super great and the food came out so fast. The two of us split a Caesar salad, numero uno pizza and spaghetti. Definitely will be back, service was great and the inside is cute and cozy!!

Pre Crew soccer game dinner. I haven't been here since the conversion from Yellow Brick. Wow, what a difference. Great menu choices Great service Great environment We did make a Rez fyi. Carry-out order. We heard the buzz about Osteria on Oak Street and decided to finally give it a try. I ordered online via their website (processed thru TOAST) and the whole experience easy and intuitive. Parking was a bit of a challenge but eventually found a spot. In the end, I could have walked down but didn't want to carry the food down six blocks. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted and had a friendly chat and off I went. Inside was clean and modern. For dinner, we enjoyed: Meatballs $15.00 Rigatoni Pasta Osteria $22.00 Tagliatelle Bolognese $21.00 Osteria is on the corner of Oak & S.18th in the former Mikey's LNS/Yellowbrick space. Pleas note there is credit card surcharge (3%) passed back to the customer. I would definitely recommend the pasta and will try the pizza next but don't forget the meatballs. Those were a great add on and glad we chose to order an app. Definitely will be back. Friendly service, and tasty pasta dishes. read more
Had the best experience at Osteria! First of all, the little patio out back is cute! We started out there but it was so sunny and hot, we asked to be moved inside and they were so accommodating and quick! Drinks: the White Lotus drink is delish! It tastes sort of like a creamy lemon meringue pie. I loved it. Food: I got the foccasia bread and it came with a delicious fresh garlic spread. Maybe not the best for a date night, but I can tell you it would be worth it! I also ordered the spinning salad with chicken and it was one of the best salads I'd had in a while. Chicken came out piping hot was perfectly seasoned. I usually get dressing on the side but didn't this day, and glad I didn't. Perfect amount of dressing on this salad. Wouldn't change a thing. I make it a point to visit as many pizzerias as I can and Columbus, Ohio was my next stop. Osteria Pizza was on the list, so I decided to check it out. The menu looked solid. I was tempted to try the meatballs (next time for sure), but this visit I went for the garlic bread. It came out piping hot, paired with a marinara sauce that was rich and flavorful -- a great start. Now, to the pizzas. My buddy stuck with a classic cheese pizza -- simple, saucy, cheesy, and gone in minutes, so clearly he enjoyed it. Another friend ordered the pepperoni, and I had to "borrow" a few slices of pepperoni for myself -- crispy, not too thin, and done right. I went for the Numero Uno, their house favorite. Three standouts: 1. The ricotta had a subtle lemon note. 2. The banana peppers brought a nice tang. 3. The hot honey tied it all together perfectly. My only critique -- the crust was a bit doughy for my taste. A crisper bake would have elevated it, but overall it hit the spot. Service-wise, we beat the rush and got seated quickly. We came for the pizza, we left in love with the subs! Osteria Pizzeria was delicious. We had a reservation for 6 people and were able to be sat outside. Our server was very friendly and was willing to take our picture which was very nice of him. They were extremely accommodating. They allowed us to bring a celebratory bottle of wine (Opus One) and uncorked it for us which was very nice. Everything was delicious. I was truly amazed by the subs. A little piece of Italy just hit Columbus! I saw an Instagram video of this place a few months back and knew I had to try it. My friends got two pizzas to split and loved both, especially highlighting the Numero Uno as the favorite, and pro tip, get the basil ranch on the side for even more deliciousness! I ordered the Pasta Osteria (I have a weak spot for vodka sauces) and it was excellent. The plate came out steaming hot with fresh parm and olive oil, there was a substantial amount of garlicky chicken under all that pasta, and with some added pepper flakes, it was perfect. And of course we had to finish off the meal with some tiramisu! The service was quick, and easily divided up our checks, and we were checked on multiple times throughout our meal. I've seen they have an outdoor patio so I'm excited to come back on a nicer day and explore more of the menu! read more

It's a mix of Prosecco and Pallini Limoncello poured over a scoop of lemon sorbet, served in a coupe glass that stays ice cold. If you don't drink often, this is an easy option--more like sparkling lemonade than a strong cocktail. Let the sorbet melt a little before you swirl. The texture becomes smooth and almost creamy, with a clean, natural citrus flavor (no artificial taste). Pro tip: pair it with their meatballs and the Numero Uno pizza. We're officially regulars, and next time I'm going back for the Hungarian peppers--looked incredible. Osteria Pizzeria is a must try! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The drinks were also excellent. They have a great variety of pizza to choose from but also can build your own. The caesar salad portion was great, was able to spilt between two people. Also tried the hot olives with focaccia and it was a perfect appetizer. My husband and I split the Numero Uno pizza and it was amazing. Super savory - the honey was a perfect touch of sweetness. Our waitress was super attentive and sweet! Great service and the ambiance is super fun! Highly recommend. read more
Second trip into osteria. Was thoroughly impressed the first time so was excited to return. We came in for an early-ish dinner (5:30) so it wasn't packed and we were pretty much seated right away. Multiple severs ended up helping us so everything came out quickly. We started with the garlic bread which was phenomenal! The greenish ranch(?) sauce was so good I could have drank it. For my main I got the pasta osteria which was honestly disappointing. Not horrible but just a little one dimensional for me. Overall I'd still come back for a 3rd trip and maybe skip the pasta. read more
We tried the pizza for the first time over the weekend and I'd give it a solid 3.5. Here are my pros and cons... Love the crust. It's flavorful and chewy and really pleasant. It was my favorite part by far. Neither of us really liked the sauce. The pizzas felt too saucy. It was a thick, tangy marinara sauce which is my personal least favorite sauce style. The margherita pizza was just way too much sauce and not enough mozzarella or basil. We made our own pepperoni and basil pizza and it was the better of the two, but again. Too much bitter sauce. If I try it again, and I may just to try it again and be fair, I would skip the marinara sauce and go for an olive oil base and make it a cheesy almost-focaccia pizza. Can't speak to the ambiance of the space since we did a pickup (you just go through to yeh bar side). One thing of note: they do push for tips which is always crazy to me when you're picking up your own online order. read more

Stopped here for dinner tonight to take advantage of the Tuesday half price pizza deal. This was my first time here. My husband had some co-workers recommend it. Our server was Echo and she was super friendly. We were told the pizza dough is made freah here on site. We built our own large pizza with bacon, mushrooms, garlic and ricotta. We also ordered the Italian salad and told Echo we would share it. The salad came out split into two bowls for us. I really liked that they did that for us. The pizza came out right after we finished our salads. It was very hot, right from the oven. The cheese was super gooey and fresh. I enjoyed every bite. I did feel the ricotta on the top was overly incorporated with herbs. I would have preferred plain ricotta over the herb one but the pizza was still amazing. The ambiance was warm and inviting with great decor and cool lighting. The place is not super big and every table was filled. We got the last available booth. I highly recommend trying this place. Oh, they did say they take reservations so maybe do that so you don't have to wait to long. read more

Okay so I've seen the hype, you've seen the hype - is this pizza "one of the best?" I would say it's fine..... where this place really shines for me is in pasta and salad. I felt that those were the standout dishes, my loved ones agreed. I wish I had taken a picture of the ceasar salad but I didn't - it was truly exceptional. I feel like ceasar salads are always fine but I can't remember the last time one blew me away. Service was also excellent. One item was originally made wrong for our pickup order so there was a little wait and they gave us a free dessert. read more
The establishment has an outside patio In the back, upscale vibrant vibes in the interior and beautifully decorated bathrooms. My friend and I, visited for the first time after a comedy show and opted for a large pizza named The Numero Uno. This pizzas ingredients came together beautifully especially with the banana peppers, honey and ricotta. Baked nicely with a great crust ratio. Wowsers. Perfectly balanced and nice fresh flavors outside the norm. Decent service for a Saturday evening.. can't wait to try another pizza or even an entree of sorts. read more
I was looking for an Italian place between downtown and my place to meet my friend for dinner. Since this had great Yelp reviews we decided on Osteria. And since It was freezing and I just recovered from a week of a head cold we got take out. We got Italian salad with chicken which was sooo tasty that we both raved as we ate it. The dressing was yummm. We got Numero uno pizza- The crust was delicious (and this is from NYC gal) toppings were great but we opted for no hot honey (I'm not a lover of spicy) but we agreed next time to get it on the side. Lastly we got the Tagliatellie bolgnese-heavenly. We didn't take pix due to our starvation but I will take some of the leftovers. My friend did the pickup and said she had to park a distance so we continue take out for the near future,j Everything was boxed in no leak containers. We shared all the dishes. Loved our first visit to Osteria and can't wait to return! Love the vibe here. Comfy and beautiful decor. We sat at the bar and received top notch service. Had a few glasses of wine and shared the meatball and focaccia bread app. It was amazing! Soooo much flavors in those balls! Ha! And loved the lemon zest and ricotta topping. So good. The bread was also perfection. Ordered a small Margherita pizza and a build your own with cheese and sausage. Both were awesome. The crust was so good. You can tell they use quality ingredients. My fiance did mention it seems they use thier pasta sauce, same that was on the meatballs, as the pizza sauce and wished they had a different sauce for the pies. Overall, we loved this place. And can't wait to go backto try more of the menu....it all sounds mouthwatering! Check them out! read more
I was recently craving some pizza for dinner and simultaneously feeling a bit adventurous, so I took to Yelp to find a new-to-me pizza joint that would deliver. After cross-referencing the reviews with delivery platforms I landed on Osteria and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a basic pizza girl, always have been, always will be, so I landed on a plain cheese pizza with a side of their housemade ranch. I'm also quite a sucker for housemade ranch. It showed up at my door rather quickly and was piping hot. Check out the picture I uploaded to Yelp. It was a pretty handsome looking pizza. It was also really tasty. My only complaint is that the cheese got really hard to chew once it cooled down a bit. Not sure what kind of cheese it had on it, but it stood out to me. I'll end by confirming that the housemade ranch was a good call. Next time I'll try to mix things up a bit by ordering one of their signature pies. And yes, there most certainly will be a next time. read more

Decided to give this a try knowing they have not been open long so giving some grace. The atmosphere is lovely. Nice bright space at least where we sat. Greeted upon entry. They are still figuring things out even with their smaller menu. They were completely out of subs for the day since they ran out of bread. The pasta we had was great in flavor but the noodles were very gummy. The Italian salad was fantastic and a nice size though the half size is still $11. We ordered a pizza but it never got put in so we didn't try it as I would have liked. It was definitely a nice place and I want to go back and try the pizza and subs for sure. I'll probably skip the pasta. They do charge a 3% fee for using a credit card which seems odd for a restaurant that is not a quick in and out. read more

First time here. Came in on a snowy Sunday, as I was lazy to cook but I have found me a new guilty pleasure. Daniel was polite and quick to serve. It was very clean. They have a full bar but I was there for the food. The pizzas were awesome. I love some chew on my pizza but not too much. Their dough is airy, fluffy and really tasty. I couldn't just pick one so I went with the Numero Uno(with beef pepperoni) and the Margarita. I went with 2x 10" pies as I was rolling solo. I'm leaving fed, full and a happy camper. Most definitely will return. read more
