Was recommended to this place when I purchased my louboutin boots. They put a protective covering so the red bottoms don't get scraped up. When I walked in I was surprised at how tiny the storefront was but never judge a book by its cover. They did such an amazing job. I love this store! Here's my reason why I profess my heartfelt love for Post Avenue Bootery. I live by Port Jeff so I bring in my Birkenstock sandals to my local shoe guy. He says, nah I can't fix these shoes. It make sense to toss them and buy a new pair. Lemme ask you, would you just "throw away" a 1967 Corvette convertible because it needed tires?? I say bona fortuna to him, grab my shoes and I'm on my way. What are Birkenstocks? Most likely they're the same shoes Jesus wore back in the day. They are sandals made for walking long distances and preaching the common language of peace. It's kinda what I do, I travel with my dog, talk to strangers and get coffee at various locations. I wouldn't compare myself to Jesus, more like Caine from Kung-Fu. I travel the land and walk in Birkenstocks. If your thinking of your neighbor at the BBQ with socks and sandals, scratch that image. I'm friggin' BilySalts! I get pedis and my olive colored legs need to be shown dagnabit! Sorry, back on track to this here Yelp review. I go to the Birkenstock website and they point me to the folks that know how to fix Birkenstocks. The Post Avenue Bootery thankyouVERYmuch. I walk in and am greeted by a nice counter person. Give us a week to fix them, please pay first. Sure enough, a week goes by and my Birkenstocks are ready. The nice gentleman comes out and says, these shoes are the OG shoes. The corking is molded and covered in a special suede. (I know this already) When he showed me the bottoms? I swear on the sweet mother of Superman, they looked BETTER than brand new!! Trust me, these sandals are made in Germany. I am telling you, what they did at Post Avenue Bootery is pretty incredible. Expert workmanship and I high recommend this store. If Jesus would have dropped his sandals off for repair here back in the day? He would have turned some water into wine for these nice folks. Trustworthy. Had soles done on 2 pairs of red bottoms. Shows were ready and perfect in the time promised.

They did a nice job fixing my shoes, but I also had cleaning of two Louis Vuitton bags that was really poorly done. In fact, I'm not sure they were cleaned at all. The one bag looked exactly the same as when I brought it in. I took it home and cleaned it on my own with Cadillac cleaner and it looked a million times better. The second purse, I had to ask it be done again, because the repair I asked for wasn't completed. I had waited 3 weeks and it was done in a minute. For shoes, they're great, but I would not have purses repaired here again. read more

I was very impressed with the quality of work and service at Post Bootery. The owner was very nice from the time I initially called w/ my issues and all throughout the process. The boots I brought in look new and I'm thrilled with the work. They also fixed a small purse zipper that did not seem fixable. The prices are very fair and I would highly recommend this business. Post Avenue Bootery is the best by far! Ralph is a skilled and professional cobbler who has always been honest and upfront with what could be done with my shoes... He handles all shoes with care despite the label or cost..Ralph also caters to your creative ideas and not so common fixes , definitely thinks outside the box and is open to suggestions!!... Even my bags have been cleaned and shined and when I asked for something more detailed he referred me to a business that specialized in such work.. I remember years ago he saved my silver leather thong sandals by replacing them with a thicker beautiful silver leather lining..!! I was amazed and he's now fixing two other sandals by adding elastic to the buckles on my ankle straps so I don't have to bend over fiddling with the buckle , just pull them on!! This is like getting custom shoes for half the price!!! But If Ralph says your shoes are beyond repair .. it's nothing personal ..believe it .. trash em!! He's saving you money!! I live in Philadelphia and work here on Long Island twice a month. I bring a pair of shoes with me to get them re-soled because they do such a fantastic job. They have even fixed other shoes that I had re-soled in philly. Highly recommend! I also can drop them off on a Tuesday and pick them up Thursday morning before I go home! read more

They've done quality work on my boots and heels, and the owner is great. When I brought my first pair of shoes in for repair, he did additional TLC work on them free of charge which was nice. Another time I had brought in boots for heel repair, and with one look he recognized that the work was done by them (I didn't even remember that I had brought the boots to him the first time, thought I had gotten them repaired elsewhere) and didn't charge me for the fix. After my 6 mth old puppy ripped a large hole in my Louis Vuitton neverfull I didn't think there was any way it could be repaired as LV doesn't fix anything. My mom suggested bringing it here and I am sooo happy I did!!! They did an absolutely gorgeous, flawless, job and you can't even see the hole. They lined up the seams perfect. Also there was a lot of frays because of the way my pup ripped it which they fixed perfectly. They did a top notch job and on top of that the staff could not be nicer!!!
