Worcester is a college town. This bar will not accept out of state IDs. They told us to bring our PHYSICAL PASSPORT to "prove" our identity. Really? Bring a passport to a bar? We were let in the door with out of state IDs and then kicked out afterwards by the owner. Not worth your time or your money. Stay away. Hoping the owner realizes how much business he's losing or the place shuts down. Sucks to suck! read more

My friends and I were out for a fun night in the city. We all went out to dinner prior to arriving at valentinos. We weren't allowed in claiming We were all too drunk yet we all had one beverage before coming. We heard from the people behind us that apparently If you slip the bouncer money he'll actually let you in. If we had known this we would've done the same. What a shame as we live on shrewsbury street and loved going there with all of our big group of friends thinking we're helping a small business. Little did we know they would be terrible to us but let in our friends whom we also attend college with. You will not be seeing any college people from then on as we are spreading the word about this established. Also to note. "They don't take out of state IDs" he asked for a passport!! as if it is normal to have a passport on you at all times. I went last night with a group of friends to check out this bar and let's just say all are not welcome. Our entire group was denied entry into the bar and when we asked for an explanation, the two workers (Joe and Kevin) threatened to involve the police. We were not aggressive or disrespectful, simply a group of graduate students looking to support a local business. I can not speak on the service inside, but if it is similar to my experience at the front door you can expect to be targeted and discriminated against. I was a little shocked because this place has good reviews, but I now realize that these people all have one thing in common.... I am SO happy that this place exists in Worcester! I've been meaning to try it for a while and finally did this weekend for lunch. They mainly serve paninis, open faced sandwiches like "toasts" and some cool apps with salad options as well. Full service bar. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious! Prices very reasonable. The inside decor is homey and inviting. I've heard their brunch is awesome & they do live music sometimes. Definitely can't wait to eat at Valentino's again soon. read more

Blows. 1) You're in Worcester turning people away for not having a "second ID" to validate the fact that they're over 21. 2) You're turning people away that are "swaying" in their high heels walking all the way up Shrewsbury street insinuating that they're drunk. 3) When asked if I can speak with a manager, told "no, they're gonna back me up 100% in for not letting you in." I went here w some friends Friday night. The bar had a good atmosphere and we had a good time. However, I had ordered four drinks on my open tab, they brought me the bill and they charged me for 6 drinks. I asked the bartender, he refunded my card and charged me the correct amount and gave me receipts for the cancelled transaction and the new transaction. I left before the rest of my friends. The bar staff stopped one of my friends and told her I left without paying my tab, and they didn't have my card. My friend told them they saw me give them my card, and they just said no. They then had her pay for the six drinks that were not ordered ( I had already paid for the four we had). I called to get a refund and told them I have the receipts. They said the best they could do is a gift card... Check your receipts if you pay w a card to make sure you're not being over charged! read more

This is such a great lounge. Took my girlfriend there when I came back home for a visit. Staff is great can make any drink you want. The crowd was all different ages and the atmosphere was amazing. They had the local games on in the background and great music. We ended up just staying there instead of bar hopping and had an awesome night. If you want a fun spot for a date or just hang this is the place to be. read more

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. experience trying to even get into this place. Hearing so many good things about this bar made me excited to go try it out with all of my friends. When waiting outside to get in the bouncer proceeded to tell me that my friends and I were "swaying" and "too drunk" to be let in, which was not the case. When asked to speak to manager because we were in such distraught, he said he could not talk because he was bartending but watched us all "sway" outside. I'm sorry but if you are bartending, you do not have time to be worrying about the people outside trying to get in, meanwhile you have bouncers to make that decision themselves. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many other places that you can chose to go to that don't make up assumptions just because the line is long and they don't want to let you in. Worcester is a big city don't waste your time trying to even get into this bar! So not worth it. Clearly they don't want business !! read more

On November 22, I went to Valentinos to bring my friend who was home from the military. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience. After waiting in line for a good amount of time due to overcapacity we were told we could go in. As the group of us who had been waiting started to go in, the bouncers rudely told us we had to get out. In a jam up at the door due to the amount of people trying to get out, the staff forcefully started to shove me out. At that point I stated there was no need to force me out the door and the bouncer had a smart remark. Shortly after getting back in line they came outside and said my friend and I had to leave, when asked why they said I tried " sneaking in". I didn't agree with their reasoning since I didn't try forcing myself into the bar or anything and at that point requested to speak to a manager. When asked for a manager the guy who asked us to leave said he was the manager. The "manager," then tried intimidating me by getting close to my face and looking down on me and having comments like " it's not my fault that your short," and looked over at his coworker and chuckled. First of all the management there is terrible it seemed as if all they wanted was confrontation. If I wasn't a calm person and handled myself as I did that would have been a bad situation on both myself and on Valentinos. I am disappointed because I chose Valentinos to welcome home a military veteran and this is the experience we encountered. read more

Im so disgusted in how My friends and I were treated! Sorry for the novel but I have many complaints! One being the owner is RUDE and doesn't respect his customers. My friend reserved a table and half the people bailed last minute so they told her that they were going to sell her table away! So she invited us. We got there and ordered drinks and talked with other friends that were there as well. Then out of no where we were kicked out with no explanation! I dropped my bag and didn't realize untill I was outside that I was missing an item but they REFUSED to let me back in! I had to have the other person i knew inside bring it out to me! What if I didn't know anyone els inside that's not right! My other friends were then told 3 different reasons why we were kicked out that were not even correct! including we weren't ordering drinks( we all had one on our table!) they said my friend was outside yelling about being drunk( she didn't even go outside!) and they said we were to drunk( when we were talking and acting like everyone els there no different and other people in the bar agreed and didn't understand why we were kicked out either) I have seen people open bottles and spray it everywhere stumbling around the place and they didn't kick them out! I think they just wanted to get someone els at that table to make them more money! So rude!! We also later found out that at the end of the night the owner was screaming and yelling at everyone to get the fuck out! This is no way to run a business! read more

Limited menu but surprisingly good. Loved their variety of different toasts. Nothing quite like it anywhere else in the area. Worth the try.
