I have visited this massage business several times over the years and, while it has never been the…read moremost relaxing environment due to staff frequently talking loudly with one another during services, the late operating hours (closing at 10 PM) made it a convenient option when I recently needed relief for significant back pain. During my most recent visit, I paid for both a massage and cupping therapy. At the time of the service, nothing was mentioned about any issues. However, when I got home, I discovered what appeared to be a burn mark on my back. As someone who has received cupping treatments from licensed massage therapists in the past, I am familiar with the circular marks that cupping can leave behind. This was not that. It was clearly a burn. When I contacted the business to express my concern, I was disappointed that the initial response was to suggest that the burn was a normal result of cupping. In my experience, that explanation was inaccurate. They then offered a discount on a future massage as a gesture of goodwill. Against my better judgment, I returned a few weeks later expecting the promised discount, only to learn that it amounted to just $5 off. Considering the fact that I left with a burn from a paid service, this felt dismissive and showed a lack of accountability for what occurred. The combination of an unprofessional environment, an injury sustained during treatment, and a poorly handled customer service response left me extremely disappointed. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this business. Customers deserve a safe experience and a business that takes concerns seriously when something goes wrong.

I have heard mixed experienced from locals about Belmont Shore Spa and thought I would at least give it a try because the rates looked very affordable. I originally talked with Diane about a 90-minute deep tissue and at the time 60 was avail for the next day. I booked that for the next day and was told she would send verification to text and it was not received till next day (minor concern). But I got a nervous feel, and I was told many times CASH! That is no problem. Then what seemed like a nice shift.. I was informed Lynn could take me for 90 minutes if I came by right away. And I asked fee and was told $100 cash which is also listed on the website. Great .. easy . I grabbed a $100 and was out the door. Parking was horrible though and I had to walk literally 4 blocks. Upon arriving Diane was friendly and introduced me to Lynn who seemed tense, and non-communicative. I wasn't expecting just curtains and no private rooms which felt mediocre to me but I understand this type of set up is often customary. I undressed and ask Lynn to please use just coconut oil. The massage was incredibly rough and I had to say a few times to go lighter. The experience was horrible.. tense, then she got on top of me and straddled my body digging in. This felt incredibly uncomfortable though I know this is done in some traditions. But it felt unprofessional. To me there is no need to straddle someone on the table. I wondered if this was some Thai sex massage parlor, it made me uncomfortable. When I tried to talk about what I needed and what to do she shushed me for talking. This made me even more uncomfortable- Though some areas of my body did feel looser after the massage. That night I had horrible pain and felt worse. Now I have had massages for over 40 years and NEVER once had this kind of reaction. I still have burning in my shoulder and felt she caused injury. To make matters worse then I went to pay $100 which I was told and she said it was $105. Luckily I had atm which sometimes when paying cash I don't bring ATM. . So felt extremely tacky to atm me for $5. Next I was never asked by Lynn or Dianne if I would like to leave a tip. AND TIPPING IS OPTIONAL!!!!!!!!! Hassling customers for tips is simply unprofessional .. HINT Customers will WANT to tip for exceptional care and service. Before I left I asked some other questions to find Lynn for example is there 9-6 M-F Like seriously? I get it now. This is a sweatshop slumlord style operation where they overwork their massage therapists and probably pay them little. Instead of basic business skills. Then I'm on the Freeway about 15 minutes later and receive a call from Dianne asking where is the tip? Are you serious? How stressful, tacky, unprofessional and just rude. .. Completely unprofessional, miscommunication, misrepresentation on website of fees. SO yes this is one of the cheapest spots in 90803 area code but now I know why. If you want a cheap massage this is your place ===customer beware! I have now talked to two other neighbors that had horrible experiences at this location. This review is on Diane and what I experienced, and the painful and unfriendly massage I had with Lynn. Won't be back, and will tell my friends, to stay away in droves.

Just what the doctor ordered (not a legit doctor) lol…read more Since I moved to Long Beach about 4 years ago, the first thing I looked for was a massage spot. I was driving down 7th street and decided to check this place out. Everytime I walk in I am always immediately greeted by the gentleman working the front desk right by the entrance. I usually asked for an hour massage but they have a few options. I usually decided on the 30/30, which gives you 30min body and 30min foot massage. I always pay up front which I am totally cool with and then I get guided to a private room to undress and get into a bed. Shortly after they come in and ask if you want the massage medium or hard...I of course ask for hard because that's how like my massages. I will say they are very good with giving you what you pay for if that includes time, products, and service all around. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, from the front desk with offering you the service and payment ls to the actual massage. I have been coming here religiously for years and anytime I have friends or family in town I make sure we stop by for a nice relaxing time. They also offer gift cards for beautiful gifts and don't worry about parking, tons of parking in an open lot. Hope you enjoy your visit as much as I always do. SYoY :)

They made us feel welcome the entire time and never acted like it was an inconvenience. The value is honestly hard to beat. We paid just $65 for a 90-minute deep tissue massage that included hot stones and oil, which is an incredible price. Just keep in mind that this isn't a luxury hotel spa, so don't expect a high-end resort atmosphere. What you do get is a solid massage at an unbeatable price from therapists who work really hard, so be sure to tip them well. We'll definitely be back.

You found it. Stop looking and book it!…read more Out of town visitor with a wicked migraine from an old neck injury. Called 2 hours later (they also take walk ins) I meet Sean, who gave me the nicest most genuine front desk reception I have ever encountered in my 30 years of getting massages. I have severe asthma and when I walked in and felt an attack coming on because of the diffusers in every massage room and waiting area, I thought I may have to cancel. Instead, Sean turned them all off, opened the front door, put fans on and moved my massage to a bigger more well-ventilated room. Then I met Angie. I had a 1 hour Thai combo massage and lymphatic facial. It was quite possibly the best massage of my life. She customized it to my needs. She listened and adjusted as I suggested. I felt I was in the hands of one who has true wisdom and deep compassion For the people she treats. By the time I walked back to my hotel, my migraine was virtually gone. What's more, today I don't have the massage hangover that I normally have! Sean and Angie, you are amazing humans. Thank you.

First: this massage is a side area of the barber shop, which is on the ground floor of completely abandoned, more like homeless shelter old art deco building with partially broken windows, etc. I circled 3 times around because I couldn't believe that was the place. Second: I called to make sure I was in the right location. No one, no one! speaks English to be able to communicate! How can you even have any business in the US without speaking the language? Business owners and workers MUST pass language test! Third: I made it to the place after a janitor! showed me way from the parking lot. My first intention was to leave immediately, I had a fear that I may not leave this place safely. But I stayed. The masseuse had no idea what she was doing. The only good things were hot stones. The rest was so unprofessional, anyone can do massage like that at home! And the blankets, the towel on the face pillow left marks on my face for few hours. This morning I woke up with pretty strong back pain. Do not believe reviews. And don't go to the places where no one speaks English. It's a money laundering place with illegals working there.
