I am very happy with Valkyrie Pest Control. We have a lot of ants issues when the weather get hot. I have used this company last year and I used them again this year. Their pricing is very reasonable. They also cleaned all our spiders web around the house. Their spray prevented our ants coming inside the house for the entire year. It is amazing. We had ants crawling into our cabinets and getting into our food. It took a lot of time to clean (counter top, floor, cabinets and etc) every time. We consistently have to put ant traps down here and there. We also threw away a lot of our food which adds up quickly. For all the food we have to throw away, it is cheaper to pay for the service. Sean just completed a difficult guest house attic rat infestation cleanup at our home that had gone undetected for several years so it was a huge problem. The entire attic floor was covered in rat droppings and there were rats nests and debris everywhere in the attic space. We began by getting multiple quotes, Sean's estimate fell in the middle price range. His estimate was very detailed, so we could see exactly what he planned to do and his approach was very comprehensive. The attic was a big mess, and some of the estimators heightened our worries by emphasizing how bad the attic looked and how difficult it would be to clean the attic space. Sean presented the facts in a non dramatic, factual, step by step way. Rather than making us feel worse, he sensibly explained the job and reassured us that he could completely clean the attic, and eliminate the rats. All holes were sealed to prevent rats from entering the attic. Sean then took down all the bins and boxes stored in the attic. Sean first partially covered the downstairs guest house area with tarps. Sean vacuumed and wiped down each item in attic storage with bleach wipes before bringing it down. He worked hard and stayed late every day to complete the day's tasks to his satisfaction. He kept the work areas organized and tidy. He pulled up the plywood attic floor to thoroughly clean the insulation underneath which was also filled with rat droppings and replaced the insulation that was beyond repair. Sean would send us videos of what he was doing so we could clearly see each phase of his work. He set traps at the beginning and would update us on rats caught. Nests were found and eliminated. Every inch of the attic is now pristinely clean. The attic was cleaned and sanitized with professional products not harmful to humans, Sean reset the attic traps and will continue to monitor them. At the end, he also vacuumed and sanitized the guest house just in case any rat droppings or debris had fallen as he brought everything down from the attic. Sean was honest, extremely hard working and took the personal initiative without any prompting from us to go above and beyond to complete the job. 5 stars, based just on an estimate! Here's the story. Had some roofing work done recently and the roofer thought we might have a rat problem. Called 2 companies to get estimates. The first sent someone who looked around the yard, poked his head up in the attic, and never went on the roof. Said he wasn't sure about rats but that they could do the job for $6000-$10,000. On the other hand, Sean from Valkyrie came out, walked the property, got up on the roof, climbed up in the attic, and inspected the garage. Spent at least 30 minutes thoroughly assessing the situation and then said no current rat problem and no need for any treatments. Sean was honest, friendly, and showed great attention to detail. They went into the hot attic to do the inspection and found that we in fact did NOT have an infestation (great news for us!), and that was it. I always triple bid my projects and Sean won the project just with his estimate. The other companies did a quick walk around, and peeked their head into the attic and gave me an estimate on the spot. I initially thought that they must really know their stuff but that only lasted until Sean showed up. Sean did such a detailed inspection for the estimate.
