I'm a person that can eat alot as well as my friends, and when the Burrito came out I thought to myself it's kind of small compared to other places yet I was pretty stuffed. They have red & green sauces, we like spicy and it wasn't very spicy. About $13/Burrito after taxes. Carne Asada Fries $18 after taxes compared to The Taco Stand at $11-12 if I remember correctly. This place is comparable to La Jolla's The Taco Stand but I do think The Taco stand was a tad bit better and prices are lower as well. read more

I'm surprised their ratings aren't higher. We loved it! We passed by this place twice while searching for parking for the street fair back in April. My carne asada burrito was huge and flavorful, topped with green salsa and lime. I had a piece of my sister's chicken and it was also perfectly seasoned and delicious. Never found parking for the street fair, so we went back a second time for their restrooms and more burritos for home. Oh man, what a bummer. Ordered food for the family thinking drive through, quick and easy. Well it was quick and easy, got home with the food about 5 minutes after getting it, unfortunately everything was cold. Cold as if it was sitting out all day and then scooped up and made into food. It was seriously gross. The entire family couldn't eat much of it and everyone got heartburn afterwards. I believe they served is old meat that was cooked and left out, not even heated. We spent the morning walking around the street fair and worked up an appetite, so my daughter who lives in the area suggested Vallartas for a quick bite since this is one of her favorite places to go. I ordered the crispy taco and cheese enchilada combo and my brother ordered the crispy taco and chile relleno. Both combos come with a side of beans and rice. Food was very tasty and we would definitely come back to try more of the menu the next time we are in the area. Both the orange and green sauce are really good but I especially liked the green sauce. Pretty good spot, they only have outdoor seating so beware. We went through the drive thru and waited less 10 mins for our food. We had 2 carne asada tacos and 2 adobada tacos. They fill up the meat. Absolutely terrible service Came in for a Carne burrito with rice and cheese I order, the cashier read back to me my Carna burrito with rice and bacon, which I didn't ask for. I specifically told him to change it to cheese instead of bacon, he stated that the cooks changed it, and my order was ready to go , I get home and my order is still not what I asked for. I already knew and thought I could trust the cashier making me feel stupid and wasting my time for trusting the cashier. In which he was wearing glasses and was old. I called to get my money back and to get my burrito for disrespecting me and so the woman who attended me started to get aggressive and refuse. What happened to the customer is always right. I go here on a regular basis and it always delivers. We were so happy when this taco shop popped up in the village years ago. I always get one of two things: 1) Christian Burrito- HEAVEN. It is everything you could want all in one burrito. Carne Asada, French fries, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, bacon, and a fried egg. It is basically a California burrito plus bfast in one. This is my favorite. 2) If you are feeling more in the breakfast mood I like to get the breakfast burrito with BOTH bacon and Sausage and add sour cream. Standard comes with eggs, cheese, potatoes, refried beans and choice of meat. The added sour cream is a must if you like sour cream. I also prefer french fries to the potatoes but both are good. The burritos are sizeable as well. The salsas are terrific so I recommend getting lots of salsa on the side. Pro Tip is to go inside the shop and fill your own at the salsa bar- they have bigger cups vs the small ones at the drive through. They are known for the diablo sauce which is a creamy red salsa and then they have a great salsa verde as well. My kids love the quesadillas and the bfast burrito with just egg, cheese, sausage. I am not exaggerating when I say we go here at least once a week. Highly recommend! read more

It's renovated but minimally. I really wish they would redo the drive-thru, I'm always scared of mounting on the curb or hitting the wall. Which is part of the reason I completely stopped eating at Alejandros(prior business). Service was abrupt, little better than previous business. I got a California Burrito with extra sour cream, and it wasn't bad. Guacamole tastes good. However, I tasted some really burnt meat one bite which was extremely bitter. Horrible. Sauceless enchilada? I placed a big order and two tacos were missing and there was no salsa nor napkins nor cutlery. The cheese enchiladas were down right a criminal offense towards Mexican food.
