She was super sweet and very attentive and made sure we had plenty of chip and salsa and kept our drinks full! We also had our granddaughter with us and she was super sweet to her and made sure she had everything she wanted. Family owned and proud of the business they have made. All the employees are full of energy and want to work. Beer on tap is always hit and miss. Delivery comes on Tuesday. Margaritas are great. $15 pitchers. They use colored salt so we adults can have blue tongues!! Tacos come loaded with meat. Chili rellenoes are loaded with cheese. Great experience! Had a very friendly efficient server, I think her name Lupita. We had 3 in our group. I had shrimp chimichanga..it was loaded with shrimp & had fabulous cheese sauce on top. We recently went through Foley and stopped here at our favorite Mexican restaurant. OMG! What happened?! Decor is hideous, food prices through the roof, portions large but so very not good. We came here for lunch during our girls trip. We all 6 got something different and all gave our meals a 3/5. Not the best but not the worst. Our server was nice and the inside looks like a typical Mexican restaurant. Service was pretty slow, especially considering no one else was here during lunch time. My aunt got the fajita salad and it came on chips (pictured below) which she thought was weird there was no actual salad with it. Although the steak on it was amazing! We hadn't eaten at Vallarta in several years because of a previous experience. However, our experience at the new location today was exceptional. Eduardo our server was superb, my birria burrito was on point, the fajitas were also outstanding, and the Pollo Loco exceeded expectations. The new interior is beautiful as well. I can't speak to the drinks but they looked good. We will definitely come back and I will try to get pics before we devour the meals. read more

BUT if you are going to charge me $36 (which I had no problem paying) for a pitcher of Top Shelf Margarita you should NOT displace 1/3 of my pitcher with some kind of freezer thing. Oh where to start.... Service.....was there service? no.....drinks went unfilled before and during dinner. Waited forever for our food. and of course the orders were not correct. Food? I have eaten at other Vallarta restaurants and this was the worst. I had chicken fajitas that were sliced grilled chicken strips so tough and seasoned like nothing like a fajita. Dry and tasteless. And then the 2 minutes of blaring music for a birthday...even with my fingers in my ears, it was still loud and annoying...worst part, the lights dimmed and it happened twice.... for the benefit of a few, all suffered. We ate here and had margaritas 2 weeks ago and it was awesome..we ate there today, ordered the exact same food and drinks and the bill was $14 more for the 2 margs and the food menu has increased as well. The waitress was very sweet and apologetic..but the manager was curt and wouldn't explain why they don't list the correct prices for the margs on the drink menu. Decent food but on 3rd visit the server ruined it for me. Asked for a small guac and he brought me a large and insisted to charge me for the large even though he acknowledged, I asked for a small... after the fact, once the bill was written, he felt that was the right time to tell me they didn't offer a small. Choosing not to argue I simply let him know that I was a fairly new loyal customer who typically tipped decent, but since he was being argumentative, he could deal with the $2.50 that was left over from the 40. Instead of the decent tip I gave to my server the 2 previous visits he got 2.50 he directed me to talk to a manager and I reminded him he knew I asked for small and could get with Anthony to see how I'd tipped him the previous night. I arrived during happy hour time and was seated. It took fifteen minutes before someone waited on me. It was frustrating because the staff were congregating and socializing the whole time, ignoring their customers. When someone asked me what I wanted, I responded but he didn't understand English. Missing were the chips and Salsa that we are accustomed to receive once seated. A waitress came and asked me to repeat my order. My drink was served promptly, and my food order came quickly after that. The drink was delicious as was the food. I had to get up and go to the front of the store to get silverware. My favorite hot sauce was not offered. I finally asked for chips and salsa to accompany my meal, and the request was ignored. I requested my bill and after a long wait, I was presented with the ticket. I paid the bill and left. I stopped at a Dollar General to guy chips and Salsa. Somehow the meal just didn't seem right without that staple. This was my second visit to Vallarta since it changed hands. Both of my experiences were the same. The food is good, the service is horrible. We have many other Mexican restaurants in our area that provide food that tastes just as good but who offer much better services along with chips and salsa. After years of going to Vallarta, and two tries after changing hands, I will not be returning. Miss those chips and salsa. read more

This was once my favorite Mexican restaurant. They remodeled and reopened and now it's not good. Music is too loud in the dining area. The food changed and is not very good. The price increased and the quality and portion size went way down. The guacamole is good. the service was so bad near closing time I had to go to the front desk to ask for them to find a server. I really hope all the reviews convince them to take this restaurant back to what it was a year or two ago. read more

The environment was clean, bright and cheerful looking. We were greeted immediately and a server was at our table quickly. The entree's were reasonably priced. Everything we ordered was good and came out quickly. Our server was attentive. The only complaint was that the bathroom smelled odd. This establishment holds the poor distinction of serving probably the absolute worst margaritas I've ever had anywhere with a flavor that tasted like the drink was made with Kool-Aid and cheap booze even though I ordered top shelf tequila. The ambiance also included a large group table with some emotionally excited people dressed as ghetto gangsters whether for Halloween or for real I'm not sure but they certainly acted the part with yelling and screaming inside and then carrying on the unpleasantness out into the parking lot where the behaviors escalated with crying and brawling breaking out. After the disgusting drinks and rioting there was clearly no reason to eat here so immediate evacuation was in order so the bill was paid and to avoid any impending gang wars a quick bug out was made. read more
