Everything went well!!! Food was incredible. We got complimentary chips & salsa and offered more when we ran out. SUPER friendly. Service was fantastic. Nice place tucked away. Inside very clean and nice. Can't say enough positive things. Definitely highly recommend!!!! Worth the drive from the beach to come back into Foley. You're welcome!!! LOL

One of the standout touches is the little shop inside, filled with all kinds of great finds--soaps, mists, lotions, and even kitchen accessories. It's a fun bonus that makes the experience feel a bit more unique. We came in with a group of 16, and they were able to accommodate us in a separate space across from the main area, which worked out really well. If you're planning a visit with a large group, I'd definitely recommend calling ahead. Major shoutout to our server--she handled splitting the check six ways like a pro. Everything came out correctly and fairly close together, which is no small feat with a group our size. I ordered the mahi sandwich, and it was delicious. The bun was perfectly buttered, and the fish itself was flavorful and well-prepared. They also offer a salad bar if you're looking for something lighter. Prices are on the higher side, but that's pretty standard for seafood. Some dishes were served whole--bone-in and all--which caught a few people in our group off guard, but to me, that's usually a sign of freshness. The food did take a bit of time to come out, but given the size of our party, it was understandable. Overall, I really enjoyed our visit and would happily come back.

In fact, I picked it up and waved it like it was a steak. The server took it back and quickly offered to bring peel and eat shrimp. Which I accepted. That said, I still had a good experience overall--my wallet and cholesterol just might disagree. We showed up as a large group of 13 people with five separate checks, and our server handled it like an absolute pro. Everything was correct, and their patience at the end of a long day deserves major props. Parking was a pleasant surprise--a spacious private lot conveniently located right by the soccer fields. As for the food, we opted for the fried shrimp because everyone had talked it up. The portion looked big, but most of that was the thick breading. The shrimp inside was tiny and unfortunately lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, just bland and overshadowed by the heavy coating. The restaurant itself is huge and perfect for large parties. I definitely recommend calling ahead. They offer TVs, a salad bar, and a full range of drinks--from cocktails to beer. It's very family-friendly. Prices felt a bit high for the portion sizes, but to be fair, seafood is always on the pricier side. They do offer non-seafood options too, which is nice for anyone in your group who isn't a seafood fan

It's the food folks go there for. The oysters were fresh and served in a simple appealing way. The fish was white and firm and delicious. The grilled shrimp they are famous for do not have a savory flavor, tastes more like they were grilled with honey on them. We were not expecting that at all. We did not like the 30 dollars worth of sweet shrimp. It does come in very generous portion if you like that type of flavor. Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Overall they are friendly, the service is personable and efficient! Ambiance is that of a local diner style, not fancy just comfortable. We liked everything but the sweet grilled shrimp. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. They have great mixed drinks and they have one that is a salted caramel flavor that is really excellent. Overall: would highly recommend for a good meal and friendly service. Probably the best place we ate in the Orange Beach area.

He recommended eating at the Tin-Top based on reviews and his personal experience, so we set off on a Saturday night for Bon Secour. There was already a crowd of people there when we arrived and we were told it would be a 90-minute wait. That seemed excessive, but hey, it's a tourist place and apparently well-like, so we agreed to wait. The restaurant is "chaotic", so if you're not looking for a loud, semi-party atmosphere, it might not be the place for you. Once we got the food ordered, it was another 30 minutes before it was served. The waitress came by to let us know that things had gotten just a bit backed up in the kitchen and it would be a little longer than usual. I ordered the stuffed Pork-Chop, mainly because I had eaten one in Nashville that was unbelievable (at another restaurant) that was 1.5 inches thick and the most tender pork chop I had ever had. I was thinking this would be a repeat of that, just with the added special stuffing. Once the food came out, I noticed that my chop looked a bit over-cooked for Medium, but I can handle Med to medium-well. Once I cut into it with a knife, and had to work a bit excessively to get the meat cut, I knew it wasn't going to be quite like the one I had in Nashville. I put the piece in my mouth and realized that I just wasn't going to be able to chew it up enough to swallow it. It seemed to be getting bigger the more I chewed. I discreetly spit it into a napkin and tried a piece from a thicker part of the chop... same story. I didn't say anything or complain (not even to the group). I ate the stuffing and the 2 sides (which were quite good) and just hoped no one would notice I hadn't eaten the $30 chop. My brother did notice and asked if I wanted him to ask for something else (he knows I don't like to send things back), but I told him it would likely take another 40 min to get something, so I just took my time eating the sides and then asked for a to-go box. It wasn't a total waste- I gave it to the condo owner's dog and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

The appetizers were delicious (seafood stuffed mushrooms and fried pickles), and the entrees were gigantic. What made the trip a 10/10 for us is the management. I had a medical episode and the manager, our waitress, and the owner of the restaurant sat with my family and me until the ambulance arrived. Not only did the owner refuse our money and paid for our entire meal, he also made sure our waitress was tipped as well. Fantastic place to eat, and the owner is an angel. We will be back every single time we come down to our home away from home.
