Beef filet with mashed potatoes. Not good, tastes like fish?

This place is extremely overrated!!! I'm starting to realize that Yelpers overrate restaurants in geographies they're excited to be at. If you're in Italy for the first time, maybe you can eat dirt and think it tastes amazing because you're in a new place. When not in the US, just use Trip Advisor! Trust me! We came here for two reasons: 4.5 stars on Yelp They have STEAK We ordered the beef fillet and hamburger and fries. I know, I know.. who orders a burger and fries in Italy? Well we've been here for a week and are literally so sick of eating pasta and pizza. I wanted FRIES and I wanted them now! Also, after reading these "rave" reviews on the steaks, we had to order that too. The steak was small and tasted "fishy". I wonder if they had been storing the steaks in the same fridge as all the seafood. It was gross actually. The burger was okay, and interestingly had buns made out of pizza dough. Our server was very nice and attentive, which we appreciate, so a star for him. It also wasn't packed or touristy (probably because there isn't a view), so another star for that. The lady who worked here was extremely rude. She was rearranging two tables to accommodate a larger group and pulled a chair out and hit my chair with it very roughly while I was eating. She didn't even apologize. We ordered a pizza to go for late night snacking. I'm snacking on it now as I write this review! Pizza is not bad, just mediocre.

Being in Italy and craving pizza is like being adrift in the ocean and craving salt water. Yeah, it's all around you. We decided to give this place a try one night and were glad we did. Interesting location down many steps from street level (isn't everything in Positano?) the space is far bigger than expected with both a large outdoor patio and huge indoor space. Service was prompt and attentive. We weren't sure how big the pizzas would be so we opted to get two. You can never go wrong having leftover pizza. And we did. Almost a whole pizza! The pizza was excellent with generous toppings and a delightful sauce. Crust wasn't real thin and was able to hold up under the toppings. All in all a good find. I'd recommend!

Best pizza we had in Positano without question. My husband made it his mission to eat at pizza for a least one meal a day during our time in Italy. We were there for 6 days. This was hands down the best pizza we ate. The crust was perfect. The ingredients were simple, flavor full and fresh. Good options on pizza type. Great appetizers. Wine list was also extensive and the wait staff was very friendly! I'd go back again and again!

If i can give this restaurant a 100 star, i will! As a tourist, we were done with the pizza and pasta. The first night, we ordered the catch of the day, mixed grilled seafood and lamb. They were so delicious! The second day, we tried the florentine steak and it was too die for. Can't even get enough with their lemon cake dessert! The people running this place were just so hospitable and treated us like their local customers!

I had the best lunch here! Fresh, flavorful and so delicious. Prosciutto, cantaloupe, buffalo mozzarella, mozzarella and ricotta. Salad. Yummy pizza!

We asked two women working in a shop what their favorite restaurant was in town and they replied "Valle dei Mulini" immediately in unison. We had a custom-made pasta sampler with gnocchi Sorrentina, rigatoni Positano, and ravioli filled with ricotta and mozzarella. We also had chicken Cacciatore. Then two desserts. We ate so much that my grandmother got sick to her stomach. I wouldn't recommend the house red wine though, it was a little too harsh.

This was our first meal in town and it did not disappoint. The pasta had a great texture.

Overall Good but not great. The Eggplant parmigiana was the highlight. Salad had avocado that was inedible. Service was very attentive.

Eggplant Parmigiana was the highlight. Avocado on the salad was inedible. Service was attentive but not pushy. Solid pizza choices.

Many other reviewers have mentioned that this is the best meal that they've had in the entire country and unfortunately, without sounding like a false advertisement, I absolutely must agree. This was the best meal I have had in the entire country and I have traveled Italy extensively. They only have a couple of tables, the brothers, along with mama and Bridget, deliver an incredible meal, incredible experience, and the way the patrons feel after the experience cannot be matched. What the hell if we ordered Caesar salad, then meatballs, then gnocchi, then seafood with linguine, then the local catch of the day which today was amberjack, then ribeye, then dessert. I'm not alone in my prayer of this restaurant, my wife and my three children are unanimous that this was the absolute best meal that they have had in Italy. I strongly recommend this restaurant, but I would mention that you need to get there early because they do not take reservations. Please feel free to joke with Bridget about her Texan roots and her hallmark story which caused her to settle in Positano!

The Caprese salad was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the prosciutto salad was beautifully balanced with just the right mix of savory and sweet. Every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were equally impressive. The house Posides Spritz was refreshing and perfectly balanced made with a cherry liquor, and the limoncello spritz was smooth, bright, and easily one of the best we've had in Italy. We finished with an affogato that was the perfect finale, rich espresso poured over creamy gelato for a sweet, satisfying finish along with the seasonal cake. Service was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the evening, making the experience feel personal and relaxed. The restaurant is a bit of a walk from the city center with a few stairs to climb, but it's absolutely worth it. The stroll back down afterward is the perfect way to walk off the meal. Between the amazing food, stunning terrace views, and kind service, Posides is a true Positano gem.

This was our first meal after arriving in Positano and we couldn't have asked for a better one. We arrived in Positano around 10 PM on a Saturday night. This restaurant was on our itinerary and was a 2 minute walk from our hotel. We walked up around 10:30 and they sat us immediately on the outdoor patio. We ordered grilled octopus to start and it might have been the freshest and tastiest grilled octopus I've ever eaten. We also ordered a spicy green sauce pasta that was top 3 best things we ate on our entire trip. I wish I knew the name of it so that I could mention it here. We also ordered a prosciutto and burrata pizza. My wife isn't a huge fan of prosciutto so she didn't enjoy it as much as I did. But I would happily eat that pizza again and again. The staff were very kind and friendly. They didn't ever seem annoyed that we came in later at night. Every day that we walked past them to go into the main center of Positano, they smiled and invited us back in or asked how we were doing. They don't have the same view that other restaurants might have, but what they lack in a view, they make up for in quality and service.
