We came here for dinner on a Saturday and we were very surprised about the service and food. MyLu was exceptional and so polite. I had the hard cider-not pictured and the grilled cheese with Gouda on sourdough. Omg it was so good and on top of that they had these delicious sweet potato fries. Definitely recommend

Our favorite date night! I usually go for the Waylon burger but tonight I got the tritip sandwich and it did not disappoint. Always with wide of garlic fries or with a side of fried mushrooms, their house style ranch is the best around!!!!! We always get the little lady that has been working at valley brew for years! She is a sweetheart!!!!!

I hadn't been to Valley Brew in years and to my pleasant surprise, it was excellent! I'm not sure if there are new owners since my last visit, but the restaurant was much better than I remembered it being. The service was a 10/10! Our waiter was very nice and attentive, but not over the top. Our food came out in a timely manner, all cooked to order and exactly what we had asked for. The food quality was great. Considering that most of what we ordered was bar food, nothing was overly greasy or heavy. The food was all nicely seasoned and not too salty. The overall dining experience was great! The casual and relaxing atmosphere made for an enjoyable place to have a late lunch. We were able to visit, watch a little football and enjoy some drinks and good company. We will definitely be back!

Great service, good experience! Had a minor incident with the check where we paid for a different tables check instead of ours; they reversed it and made it right. Large serving sizes, good drinks, and gives a great local vibe. We were glad we chose to come here for St Patrick's Day :)

The Waylon Burger with Onion Rings

Fantastic food! The Waylon burger was great. My onion rings were not quite as hot as I would have liked, but they were delicious and I still ate them all. We were there on a Friday night and they only had one waitress hosting all the tables!! Poor lady was busy rushing around. Hopefully they will find someone to help or plan better next time. She was a great server!

I'm pleasantly surprised how much I liked it here. The waylon burger, which was a waygu beef patty with cheddar cheese, bacon, fried onion, roasted jalapeños & bbq sauce was juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy and their beer selection was plentiful. What really hooked me was their service. Our server was so friendly and super patient with our group of 3. She let us try as many samples of beers as we wanted. Side note to Valley Brew: please print your beer selection on a menu, it is so hard to see what you have on the chalkboard that's up on the wall. My sister's bf had to take a picture of it for me so I can zoom in on it. Thanks! I kind of want to see what this place is like on a busy night just to compare what our service would be like since we were the only group here for lunch this visit. I grew up in Stockton and this is probably my 2nd time coming here. I can't even remember what the first time was like or how long ago it was. But after today, I'll definitely try to come by more after having such a good experience here.

It's been years since I've been to Valley Brew since I no longer live in Stockton but came back to see if it was still as good as I remembered and it was! The food was delicious and they were not stingy on their portion sizes which was a plus! We had the Cobb salad, chicken wings and BLT sandwich. The fries had a special seasoning which were yummy with ranch dressing. And of course, had to order a beer, Voodoo Hazy was so good! The atmosphere was a sports pub feel and I was glad to know this place is still in business! Stockton needs to keep places like this alive! Good times : )

But this was so bad. 90% of the menu is freezer food. The nachos had a puddle of what tasted like velveeta on the bottom and a pile of cold shredded cheese on top. The sauce on the previously frozen ravioli tasted like canned meat sauce. Not a grain of salt or speck of flour added. I know this isnt the only restaurant using frozen or premade items, but this stuff is straight from the container into old grease (you can smell it) and on to your plate. Nothing about this place says gastropub. It was really really bad.

After taking our orders, we waited for a while to receive our food, again, we were expecting that because it's busy and we're a big group. I ordered their wagyu burger + fries plate. Everyone started to get their food and then some of us realized my food was the only one that never arrived so we had to let our server and another server (not assigned to our table) about my food, which was then brought out minutes later. It was pretty hectic in the restaurant to be honest, i asked for a side of ranch like twice and never got it. I want to express to be aware when your asking for your concern/complaint in what you've ordering to be corrected I am finding more and more places up-charging you ! For little thing The proper thing to have done was to comp the meal. When I owned my restaurant, it was all about customer service. The goal is to have them come back to enjoy a good meal !! I took pride in what I served. I'm not finding that anymore. Even the smaller restaurants gouging you for extra sauce serving you canned sodas, so they don't have to give you refills from a fountain machine easier to charge you for another can of soda. I try to pick the restaurants I go to wisely but most of all to share my taste buds and adventures with you discovering new restaurants and new taste of cuisines is enjoyable, but I'm finding it more and more uncomfortable and frustrating. We don't get what we pay for now these days that's one thing about Yelp. I love this platform. I went in to have a wonderful lunch with my husband and ended up sitting there watching my husband have lunch while I was frustrated and disappointed Sadly enough, I will not be going back there. I feel that the atmosphere has changed. The food is not seasoned to perfection as their menu state it is and the facility isn't as clean as it used to be also frequent management changes are a concern and a big red flag .

The two gentlemen sitting next to us were there from work and it was their first time as well. They were pipe fitters and they were staying at adjacent hotel, they were going to give us a ride home. For no reason at all about 10 Cowboys hats came our direction and threatened all four of us. We were backed up against the wall as they all stood up and walked over our direction.
