First time at this location but most definitely not a first timer to BJ's Restaurant. We were a party of 12, dining on the evening before Mother's Day. It was also the weekend of some schools graduations, so we did expect it to be busy. We probably waited for about 20 minutes until our group was able to be seated. We ordered our drinks first and then took a good amount of time figuring out what to eat and waiting for our server to come back to take our orders. After taking our orders, we waited for a while to receive our food, again, we were expecting that because it's busy and we're a big group. I ordered their wagyu burger + fries plate. Everyone started to get their food and then some of us realized my food was the only one that never arrived so we had to let our server and another server (not assigned to our table) about my food, which was then brought out minutes later. It was pretty hectic in the restaurant to be honest, i asked for a side of ranch like twice and never got it. It was kinda hard to flag down our server so when they gave me my food, i ordered my pizookie dessert as well so by the time i finish my meal, the pizookies ready. Food overall was good. I also used to work in a restaurant so honestly I understand how busy it can be and our minds are scrambled. Went in craving a chicken Caesar salad what I got was two returns because the chicken was not made correctly had absolutely no flavor wasn't the type of chicken I wanted, but they tried to fix it on the third try now I'm dealing with Caesar salad dressing. it was so disgusting it's as if they just poured cup over my salad . tell me why they up charged me $$$ to correct the chicken order without saying anything... it was there error!!! Moving forward I ordered chicken wings how do you mess those up ??? by BURNING them !!!! let the pictures speck for themselves ... how unprofessional to even serve them! I want to express to be aware when your asking for your concern/complaint in what you've ordering to be corrected I am finding more and more places up-charging you ! For little thing The proper thing to have done was to comp the meal. When I owned my restaurant, it was all about customer service. The goal is to have them come back to enjoy a good meal !! I took pride in what I served. I'm not finding that anymore. Even the smaller restaurants gouging you for extra sauce serving you canned sodas, so they don't have to give you refills from a fountain machine easier to charge you for another can of soda. I try to pick the restaurants I go to wisely but most of all to share my taste buds and adventures with you discovering new restaurants and new taste of cuisines is enjoyable, but I'm finding it more and more uncomfortable and frustrating. We don't get what we pay for now these days that's one thing about Yelp. I love this platform. I went in to have a wonderful lunch with my husband and ended up sitting there watching my husband have lunch while I was frustrated and disappointed Sadly enough, I will not be going back there. I feel that the atmosphere has changed. Food outstanding, child's pizza was very nicely done and cut for 5 year old. Parmesan chicken was very delicious. potstickers melt in your mouth and were very good. The grand margarita was fabulous! Down in Stockton for the day, and needed a dinner before driving back to Reno. My buddy and i stopped in to the BJ's Restaurant and Brewpub near UOP. He chose a hearty Tri-tip dinner because he only needed to drive to Danville. I chose lighter fare because of the three plug hour drive in front of me to get back to Reno , NV. I chose the Oriental Chicken Salad. It was perfect. Very tasty, the chicken wax fully cooked but not dry. The dressing was quite tasty. Filling without the sense of being stuffed. Our first time ever coming to this location, walked in at 10 o'clock on a Wednesday night. The place was packed. It was a great vibe. We sat in the bar and we had to Elisa. Got seated pretty quick after requesting a booth. They just had to get them cleaned, took no more than 5 minutes. We were already ready to order so as soon as we saw the server we placed our order. Drinks took a minute but could have been because the servers were switching out. Ordered a cream soda and my husband a patron margarita. My husband mentioned to me the margarita was a bit sour and salty. Also was able to get a cream soda to go! Yum! Ordered bone in wings 1/2 root beer glaze, 1/2 Nashville hot. Crispy, hot and delicious!!! I ordered the pepperoni extreme with jalapeños-- gluten free pizza which is a must!! I'm personally not a fan of their deep dish pizzas, too much dough/bread for me. this is one of our favorite go to's for a fun and simple night out; it's a great atmosphere and every server that we've had has a great attitude and is eager and willing to make it an enjoyable experience. We are BJ's beer club members, and this is also a definite perk, as it comes with a lot of rewards and opportunities during the year. What a busy Friday night about a 40 min wait but asked if the bar was open seating. Noticed an open table available for my family of 5 a little snug but we made due and sat down immediately. Our server David helped us and he provided us with amazing customer service. Before the main entree came out we asked to move to another table next to us to give us elbow room and our waiter didn't hesitate. The management came by and also greeted us. The food was hot and tasted great. The smash burger was also great their version of in and out burger but ask for extra sauce my burger barely had any sauce. The pizookies at BJs, some could say, are to die for, but as I am sitting in the restaurant and writing this review, they are missing 4 key pizookie flavors, one of them being the new Biscoff flavor. This is very important and unacceptable to this establishment. Also DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT ORDER THE CHICKEN BOWL WITH QUINOA it is literally inedible and so bland. Stopped by a familiar place on a long road trip and was happy to come across a BU's off the freeway! We didn't have much time but our server Sarah was a real champ and navigated us through the menu's myriad of choices. I decided on the shrimp scampi and it was absolutely awesome for me. Granted, I do feel like we had some new staff, considering he sat an entire serving tray nearly on the shoulder of one of the children at the table as he went to unload it, and the proceeded to have me grab items from him when he returned. Aside from him, overall service was average but the food was also a bit miss this time around. Dressing on the wedge was borderline watery and the soup was overly thick (in an underprepared fashion). There's plenty of parking in the shopping center around the restaurant. Main entrance is on the street side. Service was friendly though we needed to flag them down when it was time to order dessert and also for the check. We ordered a large pizza and avocado eggrolls, The mini vegetarian pizza was the perfect size of veggies, on a great crunchy crisp crust and cheesy just for one person. The trio was perfect to sample 3 different cookies while the small white chocolate macadamia Pazooki was also a perfect size with a scoop of ice cream for one person. I ordered food online for curbside pickup. The server mixes up my bag with another order and the people leave. She lies and says your order is not ready yet. When the app clearly says it's ready. 10 minutes later a car pulls up and the same server swaps bags with the driver then comes straight to me to give me "my order". The bag and containers have clearly been opened. I refuse to accept the order, so she takes the bag back inside and says she'll have it remade. At this point, I don't trust her lying ass, so I go inside to talk to a manager and request a refund. The manager gave excuses and no accountability. He tells me he provides a refund but can't provide a confirmation receipt. I share this to let others be cautious about eating at BJs in Stockton. I never really write bad reviews, but i felt compelled. Kellsie M, at BJs, in Stockton is a horrible server who "maybe" has a problem with men. (I'll explain down further) Service was at the minimum and it felt selective!!!!! I went with a friend to this restaurant, we've been here before like 8 months ago, it was great. Top everything. We came here on a Tuesday, early evening a few after 6pm. From the start, it was a long wait time to even get acknowledged. After that Kellsie the waitress only came to check on us twice, the 3rd time was her bringing us the check. Mind you, she was able to serve and talk to every table around us. I'm not sure why that was, but whatever. Before the second time she came back, my friend and I waited for her to come back so we could grab the check and some to go boxes. That wait was FOREVER, so I had to stop a random hostess and ask her about our waitress. As soon as I went to the bathroom , Kellsie showed up and asked my friend if she needed anything. (That was very strange to me) My friend said it's almost like she waited for me to leave to approach her. And the interaction before that , she didn't even acknowledge me, she acknowledged my friend and was checking in on her. So the last encounter with her was her bringing us to check , she actually took her time and said , if we want anything , and if she can help in any other way. I calmly said no we don't need anything, we paid the check and left. She never apologized for the wait times or anything. This was one of the worst experiences of B.J's I've ever had. The modern day and age has led to fewer and fewer 3rd places (1st being home, 2nd work, and 3rd being where you go to hang out). I was in search of somewhere to go to after work in the evenings. I found BJ's to have the perfect hours, with them closing at midnight, I get about an hour and a half to grab food, work on my writing, and do some quick reading. At first I thought it was a strange thing to essentially treat this place as a cafe. But the friendly and attentive staff has made me feel at home and very welcomed. I think back to the show Cheers, especially the theme song "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name". At the end of working 2 jobs, 14-16 hours, the one thing that makes it worth it is being able to go to where I can relax, go to my regular attendee, Kellsie, and know I'll be taken care of. I have come in 2-3 times a week for a couple months now. My liking of the establishment has convinced me to recommend my family and friends to meet here for dinner and lunches. Melissa was very helpful. We came in with tacos from El Grullense because that was our choice for dinner but wanted to grab the subscription pizookie portion. I wanted to eat my tacos because they were not about to get cold just waiting for them to come take the order. So the manager told us no outside food but we're trying to place the order. How can we get a visit from the manager before we even get a host to order? I understand the no outside food policy,however it's not on the door. As I wait to place an order a hostess walks pass with a strawberry cake from Safeway. Hmm on top of that a service dog comes in and the owner stands at the bar having a drink. Highlight of my dinner was the fresh tomato and mozzarella salad! The poke was pretty fresh, if you're not a fan of spice ask to sub your wasabi guac for regular guac. I also asked for my sauce on the side I believe it's a spicy mayo, they all complemented each other very well. The wings are always good at BJ's I had lemon pepper and buffalo.
