We have passed this place hundreds of times and finally decided to give it a try for breakfast this Saturday. They weren't busy when we arrived and we were seated right away. Service was friendly and the other couple seated near us were regulars and said they've never had a bad meal there. We ended up deciding to try the western omelet and a pancake with added blueberries and a biscuit on the side. After we ordered, the owner came and talked to us and said that they are famous for their eggs Benedicts and hollandaise sauce... If I'd have known that before ordering I would have tried one of those. He did bring us a little hollandaise to sample though and it was amazing! He also brought over a piece of baklava for my husband and I to try and we agreed it was the best we have ever had! Delicious and flaky and not too heavy...the owner said they make it without honey. My husband really enjoyed his omelet (it did look super fluffy and delicious) and my pancake and biscuit were good as well. They only brought out syrup packets though; I wish they had a syrup pitcher/jug but that's just personal preference. They also charged for the tap waters we ordered so that was definitely strange. Food was solid though and everyone inside was nice. I would go back and try an eggs Benedict and get some more baklava for sure! We walked into the cafe and were immediately charmed by the decorations, we were immediately greeted and sat. We were given recommendations on what to order. This is our second time coming to the Enchanted Cafe. We got a French toast breakfast that came with French toast, scrambled eggs & bacon. We also got scrambled sausage and cheese omelette with hash browns and rye toast. In my opinion, the hash browns were a bit too crispy on the outside while the inside was soft. Very greasy. The sausage and cheese omelette was good. I feel that the food is good but not amazing. It has a very homey feeling. The service was great, we came on a Sunday around 11am and were able to get seated right away. The ladies are quick with the coffee and very attentive and friendly. The owner on the other hand makes snarky comments about the waitresses all the time and it's rather annoying. Sure it can be humourous to other people or men, but as a woman, I do not find it entertaining. The cafe itself had about 20 or less tables. Very cute ambiance with a year-around tree that gets decorated for the holiday of the month. The artwork on the walls are unique and fun. Found this place on Google maps as I happened to be in Barberton. Cute little place with friendly and efficient staff. Owner greeted me and quickly provided me with beverages (black coffee and water). Asked me if I wanted lemon and straw / no straw. Well , I guess you could say that they are paying attention, which is sadly all too rare anymore. They have about 6 Eggs Benedict selection which all sounded delicious but I went with the Florentine ( spinach & tomato) with an extra side order of corned beef hash. The good stuff. From the can. Not the smoked infused with hot peppers etc that some places try to push. The eggs were perfect, and I mean perfect. The Hollandaise was also a cut above. Bravo! 5/5 or whatever your scale is. This is a super cute location. I loved their decor, various paints and figurines. Especially their all-year tree. We were about the only couple there. Other people were regular solos that knew the owner. The owner, cook & waitress were the only staff on duty. Waitress was apparently new and it was her first couple of days. But she was extremely friendly. We places our orders and everything was fine. The owner was just chatting with the regulars but he ended up degrading the waitress over something and became very rude and obnoxious. It made me extremely uncomfortable and as a woman i felt like i needed to say something because the waitress was clearly upset and was just playing it off. Even my bf was like wtf. Anyway. I just love this place! My mom and I were here the other day for late breakfast/early lunch. I had the "Varsity" dog and it was very yummy. Friendly service, really cute establishment. What a wonderful breakfast!! We were in the area for a concert the night before and WOW did we do a great job picking the restaurant! We were there around 11:30 and chose breakfast. I had eggs benny (so good) and some of the best grits I have ever had!!! Also had to try the biscuits and gravy which was also good. My dining partner got a eggs, sausage, toast, and hash-browns. Normally I find hash browns at restaurants just okay. Normally not crisp enough. Not here!!! These were AMAZING! Great, friendly service. Echoing other reviews as they were spot on. This is a hidden gem that is easy to drive right past but don't. We were greeted by the owner's husband who made us feel less like customers and more like friends. He offered us some baklava which was very flaky and tasty. We then dug right into our Eggs Benedict and Sausage Gravy which we perfectly prepared including that tang in the Hollandaise sauce. It unusual to experience a meal and an establishment that seemed to hit everything spot on. Ordered the Rachel and the Salmon Benedict w/the steam broccoli. Even the broccoli was cooked to perfection. To often it's in a warmer and over cooked. And the coffee, which often seems like an insignificant part of the meal was good and we were glad for the refills. Which they did often. When we walked in, the owner said we would be back, and he was right! We absolutely will be. The best mom and pop shop we have been to in a long time! They make you feel like part of the family and the sweet grandma even brings around pieces of baklava for everyone to try! Honestly felt like I was eating breakfast in my grandmas kitchen. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! The owner made suggestions on what his favorite menu items were, adding "my wife's" this or that, which melted my heart. You could see the pride in his face when he talked about her and her cooking. We both ended up ordering a different one. I got the hash brown omelette and my boyfriend got the biscuits and gravy with a side of mystic potatoes. My hash browns were crispy and the omelette was flavorful and cooked to perfection! My boyfriend enjoyed that the gravy was served in a bowl and that you could see the large chunks of sausage in the gravy. He also said the mystic potatoes were out of this world. "There is a fine line between making cheesy potatoes and making them too cheesy and these are the best ones I've had". I can't forget to mention how incredible the baklava is! It melts in your mouth. The flaky crust is sweet and salty all at the same time. For anyone who doesn't know, baklava is a time consuming treat to make.
