I have been needing some serious dental work done. I tried a couple of different dentist offices only to be very disappointed and lied to. One local dentist office actually billed my insurance for work they said they had done but hadn't. I was also upset & frustrated that the dentist office, oral surgeon & orthodontist don't communicate with each other & had left me in the position of figuring out my own roadmap & searching out what all my options were. I then discovered Valley Dental & Orthodontics. I was so frustrated, discouraged & about ready to give up at this point.. On my first appointment the dentist and the staff had my dental roadmap laid out with a breakdown of not only each step of the dental procedures but also the breakdown of the cost for each procedure. The frustration quickly left me and peace came over me. When I left Valley Dental & Orthodontics I signed my paperwork and made my second appointment to start my dental work. Clean and nicely decorated. But they overcharged your insurance and make you pay out of pocket. With my insurance, I have never had to pay a dime. Overpriced dentist office. This place is a SCAM! All the good reviews are them asking patients for 5 star reviews in exchange for discounts on overpriced product. I went in for a cleaning on Saturday, and was told my insurance doesn't cover Fluoride so I paid $20 out of pocket for it. (First she said $25 then changed it to $20). Then when my mother and I asked about the toothpastes they had for sale she told us if we left a 5 star review we would get half off the toothpaste. We were curious about the toothpaste, and told its medical grade product that's sold in office only. Come to find out it's sold on Amazon, Walmart, target etc. Side note- I got a statement from Delta that shows "(D1330) Dental Hygiene Instructions", that was not a covered benefit that will cost me $98. That would be fine if that service was actually rendered. The dental hygienist hardly uttered 3 words to me during the cleaning, I absolutely was given ZERO dental hygiene instructions. I wasn't asked or told about brushing /flossing or anything related to dental health. Fast forward a couple days and I find out fluoride IS covered. When I came in today to meet with the dentist to discuss a crown I need I asked for a refund I was told no, because "the amount is so low they cannot give a refund". WHAT? When it came time to schedule the crown I was offered an option to be prescribed an anxiety med (a single pill) as dental work gives me extreme anxiety. I was told only a certain dentist offers this and it would cost an extra $500 (to be prescribed this one pill). At that time I immediately left. I am currently filing a grievance with Delta. I want a refund for the Fluoride I paid cash for that they already got paid for by my insurance. It's truly upsetting to see a practice be so dishonest and deceptive. They are billing for services not rendered and double dipping for payments from patients/insurance. *DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THESE FAKE REVIEWS!* (I will be having the 5 star my mother left on Google for a discounted toothpaste deleted as well.) read more

Went twice and each time it took almost three hours for a basic cleaning with an appointment.

Pros: -Staff are nice -Dentist was reassuring -Place is clean Cons: -I don't know how many dentists work there, but the dentist I had was Dr. Cheema. It was a one-man show who came there every other Wednesday -Long wait over 3 hours every visit -They discriminate; people who came after me had to go in before I did -Short staff but still set up appointments so patients can come and wait for hours to be seen -Not trustworthy; I didn't have to make any payment but was told my insurance didn't cover it First of all, I wasn't going to write a review and let them keep their stars, but the truth has to come out. Since I read so many great reviews about this place, I've decided to go to this dentist. However, on my first appointment, there were so many ominous signs pointing out that I should have just walked out (I set up an appointment for both my husband and I. Mine was set up an hour earlier than his, so I waited in the lobby fifteen minutes before my time). It took over an hour for them to call me in, and when they seated me on the chair, it took another hour for them to even look at my teeth. At first, I was texting my husband and telling him to come in and wait inside because it was his time, but the wait was extremely long that I recommended he cancel his appointment and look elsewhere for another dentist. I went in for deep cleaning, and it took them literally three hours to clean half of it; and expects me to come again the next time for the other half. It gets worse; I had a crown that needed to be done, so the billing lady told me that my insurance doesn't cover everything, so I would have to pay some out of pocket. They charged me for that tooth and told me the dentist only comes there every other Wednesday. I was caught up in their lies that it'll get better, so I told myself to be patient. When I couldn't make it to the following Wednesday appointment, it had to be moved further out two weeks, and I had to suffer wearing a temporary crown for three weeks before I was seen. Let me tell you, I went there three times, and I had to waste so much of my time there every time. If they're so short-staffed, why have so many appointments! It's no longer an appointment when I have to wait past my time. It's not like I'm on government assistance for them to get less pay. Even some patients who came in after me were called in before I did. After everything, I didn't want to set another appointment with them. I received my statements and was told through my insurance that I didn't have to pay for anything. I confirmed it with my insurance and was advised to contact the dentist to get reimbursed. I contacted Valley Dental, and they told me they hadn't received their claim payment, so they can't check and issue my reimbursement. They would have kept my money if I didn't look through my statements. Their place may look nice and shiny, but the experience is terrible; being lied to and taking up my time and money. This review is for the first visit (exam). I'll update when I go back for the work. It was easy to schedule an appointment. They called and texted and texted and texted to confirm/remind me of my appointment. The office area was a good temperature. I'm use needing a winter jacket plus three layers at the dentist. Here just a winter jacket was sufficient. My brother only had a sweatshirt and was comfortable. Staff were nice. I felt like I could ask them questions if I had any. They had a pretty advanced x-ray machine. It literally was an arm that swung out of a closet. It paired with a bite piece that sent the pics directly to my file. Even though the edges of the piece were rounded, they were still sharp for a couple of the positions. The dental assistant notice and checked in with me. The dentist was a lady (my first). She was quick, but not as gentle as I was hoping for. That however could be due more to the combination of increased sensitivity and my own bias. But I'll let you know after the next visit or 2. My appointment was at 1. I'm out the door with an estimate and my next appointment scheduled. It's 230. At this point. I'm going to recommend them. Get in where you fit in friends. Dr. Sekhon and her staff were fantastic! Came in as a new patient, and did feel a bit skeptical because it is a new office, but did find out that she has been in practice for over 10 years. She was very detailed and informative. Explained everything to me as well showed me the x-rays and images of my teeth. This office can do all different types of treatment, and the atmosphere is superb! It is a modern, and clean facility. Even their restrooms are amazing and clean! I even took a picture. Lol I am glad to say I've found a new dentist in my community that can fulfill all my dental needs! read more

The patient room was not clean. There were a spiderweb and dead flies under a chair in a patient room. Their X-ray machine was not functioning correctly and the technician didn't know how to operate it, everything had to be done at least twice just to get a bitewing X-rays. After my first visit, I never went back there and they never called me back to make a follow-up appointment either. They didn't deal with my Insurance company on time and now after 15 months, they sent me an expensive bill which doesn't say what procedure was done. It just says I owe this much. The whole thing looks very shady. I am glad that I stopped going to this place. What a hassle. I never had any problem with my insurance company or any bad experience with any other dentists. read more

I just got my teeth whitened with the Zoom Whitening at the office, and I must say I am beyond pleased! I did 4 sessions and it took about 75 minutes. Everything was explained to me clearly before the procedure was started by Dr Sekhon and the assistant Jackie. I was constantly checked on to make sure I was okay and comfortable.
