They got me all the paperwork I needed as a new patient and informed me that they would be able to get me in to see the dentist today. I had been fighting an issue with a toothache for 4 days which was causing me extreme headaches. My fear was that I was going to need to have that tooth pulled and they weren't going to be able to help me today. I was able to get in to see the dentist get an X-ray of problem tooth and have the tooth extracted. I was so relived that they were able to fit me in. Everyone I interacted with was so nice and listened to my concerns. I am extremely pleased with my visit and I already have another appointment set to come back in. Rosa at the front desk was incredibly kind and compassionate, she truly understood my situation and welcomed me in immediately. The entire experience was exceptional. I felt no pain from the injections and no pain during the extraction itself. I honestly couldn't believe it. At one point I even asked, "Is it all done?" -- and when he said "Yes," I was so relieved I started laughing. The tooth was severely infected, and extraction was the only option, but the process was completely smooth and stress-free. But she has never steered me wrong. So off I went to see Dr. Pritsky. Ahead of my appointment, I got a call from a member of his staff and was sent paperwork to fill out ahead of time. I always appreciate that, so I don't have to waste time doing it at the appointment. I entered a clean and nicely decorated office. Staff was attentive and very nice. No coldness or acting like a bother or not there. I was quickly taken to an exam room where I had x rays taken, etc. after all that was done, the doctor came in, examined all the tests including what my dentist had sent over. I was afraid he was going to want to do grafts or something. Instead he said we would start a schedule of deep cleanings every four months, alternating between his office and my regular dentist. He advised me on keeping my gums and "deep pockets" as clean as possible. I felt comfortable with him and his staff I've since completed the first round of deep cleanings at his office. I meant to remember the hygienist's name because she was most excellent but I'm terrible with names, ugh. I loved how they think of so many little things like dark glasses so the bright light doesn't bother my eyes. She made sure I was at ease and had enough numbing and pain meds - like tested to make sure before proceeding to the next step. She anticipated every time my mouth needed rinsing or air to suck stuff up. These deep cleanings are intense! Highly recommend this office for periodontal needs.

This lady drops a needle that she just got done blow torching on my tongue. So I began to to show pain and she just looks at me telling me "what happened" so I begin to explain to her that she drop a Hot needle on my tongue and she just looks at me again tell me "oh OK"and they proceed to work on my tooth... so I'm beginning to feel really really uncomfortable at this point and reality sets in and I'm thinking who is working on my tooth i ask if i can use the restroom, they tell me yes, I see the dentist assistant gets upset and begins to talk about me to the front clerk about me in her language because I caught her pointing at me and looking at me.. So again, I start to feel uncomfortable, even more but the good thing was that 20 minutes in later my tooth procedure was done.... so I begin to get up because they told me that they were done, the dentist leaves doesn't tell me anything about my tooth or what should I do? What can I not eat? Or when can I eat Noting! Mid way of leaving the chair in the dentist office the dentist assistant stops me and begins to apply a cushion like paste in my open hole on my tooth so I'm just like wow cause im already off the chair,this is so unprofessional so I began to walk out to the clerks in the front desk and i ask her information about my tooth I ask if I have a hole in my tooth so rudely, she replies" no you do not have a hole in your tooth " so she just tells me to have a good day again no information on my tooth I don't recommend this place for anybody , these people are so rude unprofessional. I felt so uncomfortable the whole time that I was there. I feel so angry. When I left because I felt shocked.

One thing to note (important, but not necessarily negative): I have Delta Advantage dental coverage, and the office does not take payment directly from them (though, as a courtesy, they do submit the claim). You have to pay up front and get reimbursed. From my limited experience with their care and demeanor, it's worth it. Now that the emergency has passed, I've scheduled a routine checkup and intend on becoming a regular patient.

In fact, I had to see another dentist last year because he was on vacation, and I was very sorry that I didn't just wait until he returned. What a huge difference in techniques! My teeth have always been particularly healthy, but I have had to have an occasional filling or two. My son, on the other hand, inherited very bad teeth from his mom's side of the family, so he has had a lot more work done. Neither one of us have ever complained about pain from the injections or the actual drill work. Dr. Parks' office has always been on time, in fact, I'm usually done sooner than expected, His staff is very friendly and courteous, I love talking to Vivian. His equipment is state-of-the-art. I have recommended Alluvial Dental Center to countless friends and family, and everyone who has gone to see Dr. Parks actually thanked me for the recommendation. I had prior work done, I've seen the full mouth x rays before, but they charged me to take more. Not only is a system failure concerning, but to charge me for their mistake & "comfort" me by assuring me my insurance covered most of it is unacceptable. The hygienist asked me where I wanted to start on the next visit since I require multiple things. I said I'm unsure, let's ask the dentist. The dentist looked for 7 seconds (without gloves.) and he confirmed we should start on the crown. The crown he wanted to replace was on the wrong side and it was a crown their office just did not long ago. All very concerning to say the least. Will not go back.
