This flower shop is so charming it could easily pass for a fairy's cottage. I originally stopped by for the café, but I couldn't help but feel enchanted by the décor throughout the entire space. Even though about half of the plants and flowers are artificial, they look remarkably realistic and blend seamlessly with the live ones. I also loved the variety of plants and flowers available for sale--from potted plants to beautifully arranged bouquets in vases. What truly topped off the experience was the warm and friendly service from every staff member I encountered in the shop. It's a wonder, then, that the café's customer service felt entirely different from the one in the store--hence, the loss of one star in my rating. Like what the other Yelper mentioned, I also noticed that the baristas seemed too preoccupied with their tasks than to assist customers. When I approached the counter, one barista spent a long time arranging a food order, while another was busy restocking coins in the cash register. Even though they could clearly see me and another customer standing right in front of the counter, neither of them acknowledged or greeted any of us. After standing there in silence for quite a while, I eventually gave up and didn't bother placing an order. At that point, a vending machine might have been a better option--it would've at least been more responsive. read more

This is a long established business but I have been surprised and disappointed by the declining customer service over the last few years, and, specifically, during my last three visits. In fact, the owner herself has been less than welcoming. Recently, I stopped by with a friend and had lunch in the café. The individual behind the counter did not acknowledge us for at least eight minutes while she was preparing another customer's order. Once she did, there was no smile or pleasant greeting. The soup was luke warm and tasted awful and the quiche was like a rubber display. It was definitely not money well spent. This is no longer a favorite place to visit. read more

A little over two years ago we contracted with Valley Forge Flowers to provide all the flowers, candles and arrangements for our daughter's wedding. We live in Hershey and the wedding was held in East Brunswick NJ so the logistics of coordinating the most special day of our family's life with Valley Forge Flowers (90 minutes from us and the wedding venue as well) was going to be quite the challenge...or so we thought...we couldn't have been more wrong. After extensive and I mean EXTENSIVE research Valley Forge Flowers HAD to be our choice to make our minimalist yet elegant theme come to fruition. After meeting with owner, Barbara King, and her design coordinator, Anna, we knew we were in good hands and their artistry and expertise were immediately on display. Recommending whiter than white Phalaenopsis was spot on and drew rave reviews from all of our family and friends! From the gorgeous alter arrangements to the bride's and bridesmaids bouquets and mother of the bride's and mother of the groom's corsages to the welcome table arrangement and simply elegant tablescapes...Anna and her team encapsulated our vision to a T! What magnificent work!!! Oh and remember this was all done from an hour and a half away for an 11:00AM wedding! How they did it behind the scenes while we were frantically engaged in everything wedding prep is beyond comprehension! Wonderment.... is that a real word? Yes, it is and that's how I felt upon entering Valley Forge Flowers (FVF). The feeling you get from seeing, smelling and touching so many cool things like inspiring journals, diffusers, candles, flowers (real & silk), cards, soaps, baby clothing, home & outdoor decorations and seasonal holiday decor. FVF is one of those awe inspiring places that you loose track of time and then look at your watch and couple of hours have blown by. Very spacious and aromatic with the array of candles and diffusers enveloping the air with warm earthy, floral and fruity scents. A flower shop with made to order or a small selections of floral arrangements to choose from. This is a high end emporium, so the ticket price to many items are upmarket. It can be a tad overwhelming with so many great choices to select from. I purchased 2 Kew Royal Botanic Garden pure soy wax in Amber and Sandalwood candles. Earthy and smooth smelling candles giving a sense of calm and olfactory goodness. Saw many more things I would have purchased for gifts but want to take it slow so on the next visit I can buy even more items. Highly recommend FVF for those who like a little luxury, home decor items and more as well as novelty and gift items that aren't just hugely mass produced yet have quality. read more

Located in the Eagle Village Shops shopping center. Definitely aesthetically impressive, which is their job, but well-executed, for sure. Kudos! You walk in, and there is design inspiration and luxe gorgeousness overwhelm everywhere you look. Their name is a little misleading, because this was largely more of a decorating and gifts store than a florist, and that is not apparent to new customers by their name. But, yes, they do floral services, apparently in live, dried, and faux arrangements (at least that is what was stocked around the work area). Happily, they are also so much more! First, they have two spaces, one is the main VFF store, whose decor and gifts have a more formal and elegant feel. It houses the floral stuff, a confection counter, a home furnishings and decor area, and then a ton of gift niches, with all kinds of clever ideas and very cool upscale items. Nothing in this store is something you NEED... but I had lots of WANTS. The second space is across the street, called The Barn at VFF. This is an even bigger space, with a more rustic/primitive type feel. They house a bunch of preserved gourmet foods, patio/home exterior gifts, country-chic decor items, a larger cafe area, and a larger furniture area. Found some very cool items for inspiration, and for purchase. There is so much to see, you could easily spend forever in these stores. Plan a block of time to browse when you visit! Thank you, EA for your head's up on the entitled consumers who flock to this stretch of shopping on 30, and the staff attitude that complements it. (yes complements, not compliments) The synergy of prideful customer and superior salesperson is always dreadful! Thanks to EA, I armed myself with a B-word uniform: loud Burberry scarf, rabbit hair-trimmed velvet loafers, designer coat, and opulent earrings. Plus, conjured my sorority princess attitude, made no eye contact, and relished how much younger I was than everyone else there, which pisses them off. Consequently, I suffered very little attitude. I actually was able to enjoy the place! YAY! To be fair to VFF, please know, that for my experience, most of the salespeople were professional. When I asked about a brand they were supposed to carry (according to that manufacturer's website) my cashier was a blank, in a snarky way, which makes no sense when someone is asking to buy more of your stuff, but otherwise, they were decent. read more

Though the flowers for the funeral were fresh, they were not what we requested. We wanted bright yellows, purples, blues and red, with white and greens as accents. Placed a last minute call a mere hours before one of my best friends wedding with a request to have a Memorial arrangement delivered to the church in time for the wedding. Requested a large ribbon saying 'in memory Mom and Dad' for the brides deceased parents. The arrangement arrived and was beautiful but was missing the key element of the ribbon that made it clear what its purpose was. I got word right as the bridal party was leaving for the church and called them to alert them of the extremely important omission. Somehow they remedied it before the bride arrived and all was well. It was a beautiful arrangement and was perfect. It would have been nice to not have the last minute ribbon fire drill but all in all, I called them with a tough ask with little time and they delivered!! read more

Also, as a traditional florist they do a great job. Recently, I ordered flowers and there was an issue. John resolved it immediately and was a pleasure to work with. Be aware that this store if for the decadent crowd. The self deserving. Sometimes it's really hard to deal with the other customers who feel they are entitled. Sometimes the staff have this same attitude. They have beautiful and pricey merchandise. Another window shopping store if you're in the area. If it's not too crowded having a bite to eat in the cafe area is nice. The schnecken are to die for. as is the sea salt caramels. I always find something to buy here. Valley Forge Flowers did an an absolutely breathtaking job creating flower arrangements and for a renewal of wedding vows my dad surprised my mom with. They prepared flowers such as the wedding bouquet so that they resembled their original wedding, helped to find linens for us in addition to preparing the flowers, set everything up well in advance to reduce the chance of ruining the surprise, made last minute additions (sourcing white chair covers at the last minute), and the results were stunning, and everyone was commenting on them. I cannot recommend them enough. They are the place you want to use if you need beautiful flowers for your events on the Main Line. read more

My daughter ordered a flower arrangement from VFF for my birthday. When I received the arrangement, it was not beautiful, but just so and so. 3 of the roses were half bloomed, and the rest of them hadn't started to bloom yet. I waited for the flowers to open up, but none of them never progressed to bloom. All the flowers just withered from the very beginning. I told my daughter 3 days later, and she emailed the florist about the issue. Dave sent a short email back stating that he can do nothing, because complaints on fresh flowers are only accepted within 24 hours. How would I have known that the flowers would be bad within the first 24 hours. There is no way to predict within 24 hours that the flowers would never bloom and just wither from the initial stage. She called back to talk to him in person to explain the situation. He very flippantly said that he has no control over flowers which are a living object, and that he didn't care that we were not happy with our purchase as he had plenty of other customers. I would never use this florist, nor recommend it to anyone. It was a bad experience with the feeling of being ripped off. They do not use good quality flowers, and do not care about the quality of their product. read more

Just received a flower arrangement. So disappointed. No one knocked on the door or rang the bell (I was home). Flowers were left outside in the wind. I discovered them when leaving for an errand. Flowers were blown out of arrangement, hydrangeas were limp, roses were wilted and browning on edges. Seriously received better quality flowers from Shoprite. Tried planning a party during December and had given up places because I knew I wanted to host the event at this specific one. Didn't get a response for nearly a day after I had visited the area to be told I couldn't have the event there because the owner didn't want to move the Christmas inventory. All of a sudden this new agreement transpired hours after I had visit. Then was back to square one again. The owners decision is poor business in my eyes and we were even more than willing to market valley forge flowers plus the budget we had was quite generous. I chose this florist specifically on location and reviews. They were pricey, $129 for 18 rose bouquet. Over the phone I asked David which roses looked the best today, and in the past my florists have generally steered me towards good tight buds that were most likely to bloom nicely. David recommended what I believe to be the most likely to be unsellable in 24 hrs. They were delivered promptly and in full bloom. 48 hours later they were dead. That was Saturday. I called Monday and was promptly informed that there is nothing they can do beyond 24 hrs. Actually some concern and maybe a small credit towards my next order would have kept me coming back. EXCEPTIONALLY ARROGANT, UNTRUTHFUL AND POOR SERVICE. My husband says he got me flowers here once, and perhaps he did - as we have only lived here a year and its been crazy. But for that reason he decided to order a corsage for a father daughter dance from Valley Forge Flowers My daughter is of slight frame and 8 yo. The corsage was $45!!!!!! He picked it up and put it in the refrigerator to hide it. Well, we got it out 15 min prior to leaving and it was a hot mess. It was pretty --LIE...(it was kind of hideous but I wasn't going to hurt her feelings)...but had also these large hot pink bows & extra berries etc on it, it was very heavy and the corsage was attached to a snap wrist band vs something more elegant or comfortable. The BEST is that it was joined with a pipe cleaner. It was heavy, rolled over onto the underside of her wrist and cut into her skin. When they got home from the dance less then 2 hours later, the sides were turning brown. I called the florist today who states they could do nothing "after the fact" and only if I had brought it in before/earlier in the day. Ummm, then where is the surprise and after the fact the shop was closed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! THATS A SCAM IN ACTION! My call garnered nothing but a whole bunch of bulls*&t, but basically a "to bad, so sad, we will do or give you nothing" response from 2 managers. WOW.....great business practices. I have seen many a corsage in my day, or bridesmaid bequests (8-9 x times!) and I have never.....ever....seen such piss poor work and hope I am not some bride on her wedding day and end up with bouquets as tacky as this (and corsages the same)! The is why I will continue to use Proflowers online. I feel bad now that the next time I got to get something in person the extra scrutiny they will endure. I highly doubt this is the standard way to make a corsage for a young lady. I KNOW that 2 pieces of elasticized band could have been added had this been done professionally and also to the specifications of our request...Not assumptions for ULTRA OVERPRICED, oversized, tacky and unwearable piece. Even if I have to watch 100 youtube videos to ensure it will work and/ or make one with fresh flowers myself. Delighted I found them on Yelp... Called them with some trepidation after reading a few negative reviews, but I hadn't been able to find a florist to deliver flowers to a grieving family on a weekend. The flowers were lovely, to judge from the photo sent by the recipients, and I think they'll last. They were delivered in a nice vase within just a couple of hours of my Saturday afternoon phone call from Miami. The price was no more than I would have paid to the supposedly less expensive florists, although they clearly pride themselves on their high quality flowers and other products. It's about 6" x 8" with a handful of flowers and a bunch of decorations. The only bouquet that was worse then this was the arrangement I got for my wife that had fake flowers in it. I came in to the store today for an arrangement of flowers as a thank you for a friend. I had received a gorgeous arrangement from friends previously that was stunning and lasted far longer than I expected so I knew whatever I purchased would be perfect! I was kindly and quickly greeted by John who was amazing! He walked me the the flower cooler and asked me my price point. He really wanted to make me happy with what I chose. They made a gorgeous arrangement of Gerber daisies and hydrangea in under 10 minutes! Talk about amazing customer service...John was even kind enough to walk it to my car! I walked around the shop and loved everything I saw. This is a place to come and splurge on home decor, flowers, and seasonal decorations and buy stunning flowers! Pricey?
