All good florists are expensive. While Belvedere isn't the most expensive, it's far more than grocery store flowers and probably in the upper range. That said, this is the only place I've gone to where my wife feels like it's worth the cost, especially compared to the national chain brands. She really loved their arrangements. The quality has been really excellent, which justifies the cost of something that's only going to last a relatively short time. My only complaint is that they don't seem to be suited to last minute purchases. On major flower dates, they seem to always be out of stock if you call last minute. I would think that after all these years in the business they would know to order more supply for certain dates they know will be busy. Bottom line, this place is great and totally worth their prices, (wife approved!) but you really need to call more than a couple days in advance. read more

If I could give this horrible florist 0 stars I would. My husband and I went in to their store to order flowers for my son's prom and the guy behind the counter went ballistic when we showed him the picture of what our son's date gave as a reference to what she would like. We stood there shocked as he lost it and to make matters worse the old lady behind the counter was egging him on. I actually kept my cool as my husband tried speaking with him but he kept cutting him off and wouldn't let him speak so I finally said ok thank you we'll take our business elsewhere. Best in the business. There is a surprising number of florists in Delaware and Montgomery county, but finding a good one can be a little trickier. This is a long-standing family owned and run business. The work they do is absolutely beautiful and they are super easy to work with. I have received and seen many creations from Belvedere including large wedding displays, funeral pieces, house event pieces, and prom pieces. Most recently, I ordered two bouquets for my younger brothers proms. Something that stuck out to me is that due to a wardrobe malfunction, I had to change our color scheme less than a week before the pickup date. Team was super willing and happy to make that change. While picking up a bouquet, a lady waited in front of me in line for 15 minutes just to tell them that she had seen their work and thought that it was beautiful. Outstanding and phenomenal service! Background: I come from a family of 10 in Chicago, and my oldest sibling turned 70 last month and resides in Bryn Mawr, PA. As big families go, the word was that she did not want to celebrate her birthday this year. So any call I got from my siblings about "what gift are we getting her" I said no gifts. Then the day of her birthday arrives and one of my siblings wrote a cute poem for and to her, copied to all of us. My birthday sibling responds to the poem with oohs and ahhs and that was the signal....she in fact DID want to celebrate her birthday. So it is the afternoon of her birthday, a Friday no less, and I am standing on an el platform in Chicago waiting for a train, when I see this response. I immediately send another email to all of my siblings (excluding the birthday girl of course) and tell them I got it wrong, looks like she wants to celebrate, are they in with whatever I come up with as gifts. Email and text responses are unanimous, yes go for it. So first I turn to yelp. I put in a search for a flower shop near Bryn Mawr, PA, as my train pulls in. Practically screaming over the noise of the train, I call Belvedere Flowers once I see the search results. I tell them failure is not an option....can they deliver a phenomenal bouquet of flowers to my sister the following day, a Saturday, a day late for her 70th birthday so the flowers need to be big and beautiful and phenomenal? Yes they can do all of that, NO PROBLEM. We come up with a budget, some ideas on presentation, I put our sibling's gift in their good hands, and Belvedere got it done the next day. I recently orders flowers from Belvedere for the first time. I was going to order from Pro Flowers or 1800 Flowers but decided to google a local place. I ordered at 8 am. They were delivered by 10:30 am. The arrangement was beautiful and almost identical to what was on the picture online. The delivery person also called the recipient because she didn't want to just the leave the flowers on the front step, so she left them in the back yard AND brought in the recycling bin. I wish I could give them 6 stars because they really got a brother out of a jam! Well instead of 6 stars I guess they will have to settle with earning a life long customer. How could a flower shop have an impact on my life you ask? I met a pretty young lady at a store in the same neighborhood as Belvedere Florist and I wanted to send her some beautiful flowers to show her my interest. I went to Belvedere and I was helped by a nice, petite, pretty lady named Eileen, one of the family that have been in business for years. She took down my information and gave a nice card to right a message to the young lady. I signed the card: "To my secret admirer from your secret admirer" and sealed the card telling Eileen not under any situation is my name to be revealed. She said "Don't worry, we're like priests here, we never talk". She walked me over to the large refrigerated display case to pick out a fresh flower arrangement for my new "thang". Although all the arrangements were beautiful and romantic, I thought they were not right for her and how I felt about her. She said wait a minute I will get my son Adam to help you. Adam came out and asked how he could help me and I told him about the young lady and how I thought that something more exotic would suit this lady better. I wanted Birds of Paradise, Anthuriums, orchids and ginger along with exotic foliage arranged in a high style. Adam said "you must be a floral designer if you know those kind of flowers". I said yes and if you need me to arrange them, I will. He laughed and said "no, I think we can handle it". I wasn't there when the flowers arrived the next day, but I think they caused quite a fuss. It seems that the pretty, exotic young lady had a boyfriend. a really big, jealous jughead boyfriend that was not flattered that his girl was attractive to another guy. I was told that he yelled and stomp and had a hissy fit trying to get his girl to tell him who her admirer was. She kept saying over and over that she didn't know, that it was sent anomalously. The next day he called Belvedere and harassed them numerous times, demanding who sent the flowers to his girl. Eileen told him time after time that she couldn't reveal the customers name or description. The big MoFo went over to the flower shop to try and intimidate them into giving me up but Adam met him at the door asking what was his problem. The muscle head demanded to know who sent his girl flowers and Adam calmly stated that "To me it sounds like our customer treated your lady how she should of been treated and maybe you should think more about how you treat your lady than how somebody else treats her" Bravo Adam because the guy left without a word with his head hung low. Me thinks there would of been bloodshed (I ain't saying who's) if they would've given me up. read more

What a blast from the past to have NICE RESPONSIVE service where people go out of their way to accommodate you! I learned late (3:30PM) of a person passing and really wanted to get flowers to the funeral home for the service which was being held the next morning at 11:00AM. The very kind woman that answered the phone informed me that they had completed their deliveries but would make an arrangement and have it delivered on the delivery person's way home.
