Hands down the dumbest experience and a giant waste of time. I have an infected bursa, obviously. Instead of aspirating the Dr (and I hesitate calling him that) just wants to inject me with antibiotics. I told him why not aspirate? He said, because that's a surgery and I'm not going to do that here. It's not a surgery, it's a non-surgical procedure. He said, I'll have to write on your chart that you rejected my treatment. Treatment, lol! Pushing antibiotics in to someone when you have no idea what bacteria if any is involved. That's with a sign in their office that reads, "antibiotics aren't for everything" or something like that. But, antibiotics are in that doctors case even after I told him antibiotics almost killed me. Morons, although I think most doctors are egotistical morons. All their schooling and the only idea they have is selling big pharma. So, I said I would do a local antibiotic injection but when the guy walked in to inject me he wanted to inject it in the fatty tissue of my ass, that's not local and the infection is in my elbow. He said a local injection, the guy said no in your hip. I said I reject the treatment. The doctor lied to me by saying an aspiration is a surgical procedure and then didn't care to ask what history in my life caused issue with antibiotics. Horrible practice, horrible doctor and rude staff. I wasn't aggressive at all just asked if I reject treatment do I have to pay? The secretary said, "if you reject treatment then you can run like the wind". Just completely horrible all the way around. No care for humanity or an inkling of bed side manner. Stay clear of the aesthetics department at Valley Immediate Care! There seems to be a transition going and it's a mess! The prices have risen substantially and there isn't clarity about what services they offer. In addition, the communication between staff is terrible and they don't follow up as promised. I decided to go elsewhere, and I'm thrilled that I'm receiving excellent and professional aesthetic care now. And I received the services with my new aesthetic provider on a monthly special, making my service much more affordable than Valley Immediate Care. read more

Disappointing to say the least. Receptionist is very loud and does not take patient privacy into consideration. I could hear her yelling to the back about another patient. I was cash paying and she couldn't give me an accurate quote on cost. After I finished the paperwork she gets up and very loudly says "everyone is so happy today", in a very condescending tone. Completely unprofessional. She's violating patient privacy laws and I was mortified that I knew why another patient had come, what happened and their worker's compensation situation. Five stars to the PA that I saw, she was wonderful. Great bedside manner and very caring during our interaction. I think the other staff knew I was upset and tried to smooth it over, but the damage was done. I work in healthcare and privacy and sensitivity are extremely important. Unfortunately, this receptionist is unaware of how loud she is. I would rather sit in an ER for a few hours than have my privacy violated. This review is based on a visit in August of 2018. Once I reviewed my bill at home and submitted to my out of network insurance, I saw they charged me for procedures they did not complete. Recently moved to the area and this town is impossible to get into a medical doctor with in the month..I tried this place I was told 3 patients were ahead of me..an hour and 40 mins later I was seen by a 72 yr old retired dr...whom was a nice man..but overall wouldn't go back unless I was dying . read more

In town visiting family and my 5 year old starts complaining her ear hurts. I look up urgent care facilities in Grants Pass and find Valley Immediate Care. Their website advised me of the current wait time, which was accurate when I arrived. I did have issues registering online but when I arrived I only had to fill out two pages of forms. Not much of a wait. All major insurance accepted. The staff were all phenomenal. They all took great care of my daughter. One of the doctors makes cute little pillows and my daughter got to pick one out. We were in and out on a Sunday afternoon within an hour. Great facility! read more

New to the area, thankful to reserve a spot in line via their website instead of showing up and waiting for hours. Receptionist was courteous, I was seen right on time. I appreciated the approach of 'how can we best support your needs right now' and before long, I was on my way to pick up antibiotics across the street. Day 4 of a very intense illness: I would rate ZERO if that was an option. I finally decide to go see a doctor. But guess what? I am not provided with one. I am seen by a *student* Doctor. This would usually be fine by me knowing there was someone else in the room to back up his diagnosis, but no, it is around closing time and they are in a RUSH to get me out the door so they can close. After the clerk shows me my bill at the end of the appointment, I see they are attempting to charge me $400 for a 20 minute "doctors" visit with a prescription for Sudafed that will cost me $1.97. After being rudely harassed by the clerk who attempts to confuse me about my deductible (I know what I am looking at, I am a Hospital Registrar myself). I attempt to make a phone call to arrange my payment. Even then, I am interrupted while on my call to PAY them and they again try to usher me out the door. They are not an "Urgent Care" clinic, yet they are disguising themselves as one and charging 2.5 times what you should pay at a clinic. Disgusted. read more

I have to agree the secretaries are not the greatest, kind of make you feel like a number. I really liked it that the doctors here (I have been here twice) are caring and this place is 100 times better than Three Rivers Hospital for immediate care! They call within 3 days just to do a follow up and that is nice. UPDATE: Fail! Well so much for the positive for them. Failed to read x rays right, failed to see brake in arm, resulting in could not put cast on, it is 2 months and still in PT. read more

My family recently moved to Grants Pass, OR from California. We've been Kaiser patients our whole life. We now have Blue Cross and needed to refill our medications. My wife contacted Valley Immediate Care and was able to register on-line. We arrived at the clinic and only waited 5 minutes. The Doctor who saw my wife was very courteous and attentive to her needs. He refilled her medication and we were out of there in 30 minutes. Very happy with the service we received. read more

I had a fall Sunday evening and didn't realize there was any injury. Got up Monday morning for work and couldn't hardly breathe the pain was so severe. As the morning wore on I was pretty sure I had broke a bone, disc, or something and was pretty scared. Got in to Valley Immediate Care and had x-rays. Just a sprain and they got me on track right away with what to do to start healing and get back to work as soon as possible. I am so glad I went in and so grateful for the help. read more

Would never recommend anyone go there! Went there for dog bite on my thumb. Dr. Penner was the doctor I saw. Due to his care, my thumb became infected, he gave me no antibiotics, pill form or otherwise. Later ended up in emergency room 3 times trying to get the thumb taken care of. They removed stitches that were so tight there was no room for infection to drain. They said they never stitch dog bites tight because of that very reason. That was 2 weeks ago and now have to go to hand surgeon because thumb still in bad shape. Dr. Penner could have avoided all this had he do ne things correctly and started me on antibiotics. Sorry I ever went there. Hospital emergency room much better equipped for all emergencies, and the wait isn't any longer than Valley Immediate Care, where it took 2-1/2 hours for me to be seen even though there was only one person in the lobby before me. read more

Hi. I'm new in town and have been having jaw pain for months now. Came in because the pain is just to much. It seems like jaw pain in itself is hard to diagnose and no one really knows where what direction to point you. My first experience in this office wasn't to good like I said I'm new in town and didn't apply for health care within 90 days of my move so when I did apply I was denied. As of Nov 1st i am now able to and will do before the deadline. I must because of this chronic situation. Now I've never been here. This office came as a great recommendation from a family member. The receptionist was lack luster and when I said I was paying cash it's like I was a homeless person asking for water. Telling me that the office visit was 260$ and up. I should have ran out the door then but I really needed help with this chronic pain. Then I meet Dr. Peter. Thanks for nothing he checked my ears because of the pain I thought there has to be an ear infection? Nope ears are great. Looks like you have a dentist he should take care of this issue. I said but no one has so what do you suggest I do? Can I have a shot of cortisone or can you refer me somewhere? Because you don't have insurance no surgeon will see you. Okay so you can't even tell me who you suggest or help me in any way? Nope sorry and oh that birth control you wanted ya we aren't supposed to do this but we can do it this time. Oh awesome could you please. In my head I'm thinking if I'm spending 260$ for you to tell me you can't help me then you better at least fill that god damn prescription!!! Bottom line is unless you have insurance DON'T waste your time. You will be frowned upon. Thanks for really trying to help me. As a former employee, I would not recommend this clinic for any of my loved ones or anyone I care for. The urgent care staff does not clean any of their rooms after a patient has been in it, their sterile equipment is improperly done at the clinic itself, they are very disorganized (I tried organizing and stalking properly and had everything undone because it was not the way), the medical assistants are not registered and the new hires are being trained by staff that have worked there so long and have lost their passion for healthcare and simply do not care. The providers do their best and I cannot say anything against the PAs that I have worked for. When hired, I got a 1.30-2 hour orientation and almost no orientation at the clinic. I had trash thrown at me by a coworker on purpose and when my supervisor was made a ware of it, she simply ignored it (I have emails saved). Upon hire, I notified them that I was a student and was told it was fine, but when my second months schedule came out, I was overworked and when I mentioned it I was told, "I don't remember us talking about it". I went to VIC after experience a frightening trauma to my eye. My eyelid needed to be stitched, and it was unknown if there was damage to my cornea. Micheline Cavallacci, R-PAC, assessed my eye and compassionately told me that I would need to see an ophthalmologist due to the extensive trauma. She apologized for not being able to treat me...and then she did an amazing thing! She phoned a local ophthalmologist and described my injury and secured an appointment for me the next morning. She provided me with his name and number and let me know that he was expecting my call. She gave me a sterile eye patch to wear overnight to protect my eye...and then she hugged me and comforted me. Even though Micheline wasn't able to care for my injury, she cared for me greatly with her kindness, her compassion, and her comfort. And she went the extra mile to prepare the way for me to receive care the next morning. Micheline is a rare treasure, and was an incredible blessing to me. read more

The secretaries were Mean and grouchy. And the rest of the staff was unpardonable and unsympathetic. Their goal is money. They have little compassion toasted serving their patients. I went in to see the doctor for a cough. The receptionist was talking on her cell phone .When I walked up she raised a finger to tell me to hold on. Really? After the 3+ hour wait they took me back. It turns out the person treating me was not even a doctor but a nurse. When I asked to see a doctor I was told they weren't working today. I couldnt believe how unprofessional everyone seemed. If you are uninsured, they will rip you off! I went in to get stitches on a wound (two layers, less than an inch long). It took 30 minutes and then they shocked me with a bill of $814. I asked how much the insurance companies pay for this and they said "the same" (a lie). I paid and after I got home I went on the internet to see what this procedure normally costs. I found 2 immediate care chains in California that had a complete price list, and their price for the exact same thing (laceration repair) was $250 to $265. I called them to complain and they said they will call me back. Nobody called. Then I called again and they put me on hold for 10 minutes (hoping I would hang up) and then they hang up on me. Then I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and they refunded me $158. But I still got charged 2 1/2 times as much as the chains in California charge. They don't have a price list for exactly this reason, so they can rip you off. They also refuse price quotes over the phone. read more

Not too happy with this Valley Immediate Care location... I went in today under their "5 day promise" because the pain medication that the provider at the North Medford location gave me made me extremely sick. I checked in online, and still had to wait 30 minutes after my arrival to be given an appointment. The medical assistant was very nice and understanding of my request to change pain medications, the PA Peter Gray however, was not. He walked in with my prescription drug report in hand and began interrogating me on my previous narcotic fills. He was right--I had had many other fills of pain medication due to surgeries I had. I just found him to be very condescending to me, treating me like a drug seeker. In the end, he asked me to bring in the other pain medicine (reasonable request) and he begrudgingly switched me to another medication... I will not be back to the Grants Pass VIC location. read more
