Airbag warning light on dashboard was flashing. Airbag inspection allegedly showed a need for replacement of several components...for about $2500. In fact, the problem was just a corroded wire that was easily corrected, but only after hundred of dollars of unnecessary service fees. Also, while the car was at the dealership, they left it unlocked in their outdoor parking lot where it was burglarized--a problem that had occurred before and was known to the dealership. Their new Service Manager has his work cut out for him... It's time I found a local independent auto service facility rather than a Nissan Dealer. read more

I bought a Leaf there from Justin and it was a great experience. Unfortunately i came back to trade in my Leaf and a new salesman named Austin was there and he was the most pushy and horrible salesman I had ever met. I told him many times that I won't go over 400 dollars a month payment. Im only paying 341 now. He absolutely ignored that and wasted an entire day with my girlfriend and I said send me the payment price before I go waste my time. He would not so I go and he tries to make me sign a payment plan for almost 700 dollars on a car I dont even want. He told me to be flexible! So why dont you call my boss and ask him to be flexible and pay me more? Be flexible? And we walked out. Then he called my girlfriend 20 times trying to get her to trade in her paid for car and he knows shes on disability. He wanted us to then make 2 car payments. The guy has no qualms at all about trying to put someone in financial hardship as long as he sells a car. Im 56 and a veteran and he was like 25 so he couldn't fool me into anything but I feel bad if he meets some young gullible person because this guy is like one of those stereotypical used car salesman who will not listen and just try to talk you into something. Because of this guy, my girlfriend and I will never go back there to buy anything again. I told him im a mailman and have no day off and I wanted to know the price before I went there but he thought he could just talk his way into putting us both in a bad situation. They used to make movies about this kind of guy. I swear if I had filmed this interaction and put it on YouTube it would go viral because it was actually almost sad to see because it was painfully obvious that he was absolutely desperate to sell a car. He told us he just moved here from Tennessee and it was so easy to read between the lines and know that he cant afford to live out here. This aint Tennessee and its expensive and i bet this guy cant pay his rent. I was actually really angry for a while but its also sad because he's a young guy and I can tell he is in financial trouble because of how desperate he is to sell anything to anyone but here's some advice. Youll sell more cars if you listen carefully to the customer. Don't talk over them and if you cant meet their needs then say that and they will appreciate it and come back again when they can afford it but when you are pushy and uncaring then people will remember that and never go back there again. That and the fact that i bought this electric car and its a pain in the butt to charge. They have a fast charger right there but customers are allowed to use it, up until the point you buy the car. Then they wont let you use it anymore. They will tell you that you can, but after you have the car they say its under repairs, then they turned it on for me a few times, then suddenly there is some problem so only customers can use the charger. So basically after you get the car you are no longer a customer. Just some dude who wants to use their charger. Well since im no longer a customer anymore and cannot use their charger that can only be used to charge this particular model of leaf with an outdated connector that they themselves sold me then thats fine. But they lose more than one customer. Its me, my girlfriend, her mom, my brother and as many people as I can tell about this. Sell a dude an electric car with limited range and an outdated and rare plug in and lie and say I can use their charger, come back in 6 months and trade it in and after I leave, suddenly I can't use the charger which is the only one in town able to charge the car, which they very well know and even bragged about so i struggle for 6 months trying to charge this thing. Then find out the whole coming back in 6 months to trade it in was another giant lie and they set me up with some sleazy guy who tries to get me to make a 700 dollar payment on a Nissan versa and makes up a story about a special new program they have to help rebuild credit. Oh wow! I can't say enough about this place!! I went in for warranty work, they went ahead and inspected my whole vehicle and then sent me a text to let me know all of the things wrong with it. I got to choose what they did or didn't do with my vehicle just by clicking a green or red button. SO HANDY!! Plus, they didn't pressure me on the items I didn't want fixed. The only hang up I did have was when they had washed it, their detailed had to have used a dirty rag because my paint was scratched all the way around. I live in Boulder and have been considering a new Nissan Leaf, after contacting several dealerships, I have to say that Valley Nissan was by far the BEST experience I've ever had with a car dealership. From my initial contact with Blake the Internet Director, outstanding communication, he respected my preference in the way I wanted to communicate, answered my questions quickly and directly. Once I arrived at the dealership I was greeted by both Blake and my sales consultant Leon, who had all paperwork ready to go for a quicker transition. Leon went over the car with me , answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable; (this was very appreciated as this is my first electric car). This outstanding customer service continued with the Finance Manager Nate, he came out and introduced himself to me, explained the rest of the process and when I would be with him to finalize all paperwork. I received a recall notice for my Nissan Leaf Plus recently, and scheduled an appointment at Valley Nissan to take care of it. The recall notice said it would be fixed in under an hour, so I did not mind waiting for it. I purchased the car at Valley Nissan and have had it serviced there. I arrive for my scheduled appointment, and they tell me that there computers have been down, and that I would have to leave the car there all day. I had just driven 35 minutes from my home in Erie to take care of this, and could not leave it all day as I had no ride. So I left, wondering why the service dept did not call me advising me of their problems. When I returned home, I sent a terse message to the dealer's general manager, thanking them for wasting my time. He was very apologetic and offered to send someone to pick up the car and leave a loaner while the car was serviced. I declined his generous offer as I needed to be in Longmont the next week and if they could do it under an hour (as the recall notice said) I could bring it in. So I arrive for the second appointment, and the Disservice Rep Doug now tells me that it would now take 2 hours and 15 minutes. I told him that the recall notice said it would only take less than an hour, he gave me some lame excuse about the computer tech was not in and needed to read the results. Mind you, his excuse did not hold water. So I left. If I were paranoid, I would surmise that Doug was retaliating at me for the message I left with the General Manager. I am sure he did not like my comment about the service reps sitting around drinking coffee instead of calling their customers informing them that their computers were down. So I left again, vowing never to set foot in their cursed disservice dept again. When I got home I called the Nissan dealer in Boulder and made an appointment and got right in the next day. Oh yeah: it took them 50 minutes to perform the service. Bottom line: next time I am in the market for a Nissan, you can guess where I won't be looking. I am beyond frustrated with the dealership and how they handle business. I have been trying to help my grandparents who bought a car from them early 2024. Unfortunately it got totaled about 6 months after. I had sent Robin (who is in finance) in November 2024 the total loss paperwork to get refunded the service and protection plan. I was told it was going to be 6-8 weeks from there to get check sent out. Keep in mind in the meantime my grandparents who are on a fixed income are getting late fees due to them having that balance on the loan. I have been in touch with Robin over the few weeks to see the status and she said it got sent out. Fast forward till yesterday I called again and I was handed off to "Sue" she said I needed to call her tomorrow (today 2/20/25). I called Sue and she stated that it was cancelled a few weeks ago because they didn't have the mileage, which is false I sent all of that paper work back in November. She then stated it was only send out yesterday 2/19/25. Which is ridiculous given I've sent that paper work LAST YEAR! I then asked to speak with Robins supervisor as Sue said I needed to talk with Robin about it. Which is super frustrating no one is taking any accountability or responsibility for them dropping the ball. I got transferred to Troy the GM twice with no answer on the other end. The service department went the extra mile to make sure i knew anything i needed and stuck with me until i ran out of questions. Which is no small feat! The management is great about addressing concerns and making you feel heard. They are leagues about the fort collins location. If you need a nissan, skip foco and go there. No high pressure tactics, and they dont try to sucker you into something you don't want with a pretty face. Some important miscommunications on the sales side is why it's not 5 stars. I then was told you better sign the contract before some else's purchases it the next day ! I was so stupid to not have driven the car and look at it before the delivered it to me I noticed it's been wrecked on the driver quarter panel big scratched down door ! Then to noticed cigarettes burns in the leather seats what nightmare to be persuaded to act now lose out on your funds later ! They sold me a worthless warranty to convince me oh you will be covered. Found out it's basic one isn't that nice of Noland in finance to not have educate me on better warranties options. I paid 2400 extra dollars to again be lied to about having an awesome back up in my time of need ! I had to dish out thousands additional in order to repair car ! Oh and by the way I attempted to register the car to be told sorry your car needs Emissions ! Noland told me come by pick one up well that's a two hour drive round trip ! Why wasn't that put in the glove compartment at the time of delivery I guess that was too much to ask ! They charged me a delivery fee over 500 for what to be mislead about this piece of junk you sold me. God forbid do your research before you by any car from Nissan period ! Found out this car had several complaints for CsC failure meaning your whole transmission has to be taken out in order to replace it plus do a a whole new clutch replacement. This warranty should have paid some for it but nope they are just like Valley Nissan you get yourself in a pickle if you trade you car in thousands and thousands dollors later because they will want a huge down payment then you get a lemon ! Isn't that wonderful situation to be put in ! My advice would be to keep your old car clunker before you step one Foot ever into Valley Nissan ! Troy the Gm acts like he cares but not all! On January 25, 2023 I posted a negative review for Valley Nissan of Longmont. One of their service staff - Senior Advisor Doug Mount - told me that Nissan would not honor the warranty on one of their batteries. That did not make sense to me but Doug Mount was adamant - the battery warranty will not be honored!! I wrote my review AND 24 hours later Valley Nissan responded. Both the Service Manager Maverick Bryant and the General Manager Troy Mewis made contact, corrected the mistake made by Doug Mount and replaced my battery under the Nissan Warranty. I was very disappointed with the service department. When I purchased the maintenance agreement I was told it included tire rotations. When I went to use the maintenance agreement they said it did not include tire rotations. That was a key factor in purchasing the maintenance agreement. I now have zero trust in what the service dept says and does. When I picked up my car it was in the lot with the passenger window down. It was left vulnerable to what anyone would choose to do with my car. I would recommend going elsewhere for business in order to get a higher standard of integrity and responsibility. read more

Beware of Valley Nissan's hidden charges in their finance paperwork including a $595 charge.Supposedly if the car you purchase is stolen you get "5,000.00" they can't remove that charge. On top of that they have a nice little clause in their paperwork that states if they don't cover all of your trade-in payoff, any remaining balance you have to pay. If you do business with these guys make sure you check your paperwork for all hidden charges. We won't be doing business here again. read more

Which was fine, we spoke to J.R. Peters who explained very professionally and polite how those are posted and viewed. Even went as far as to offer having whatever vehicle we were interested in brought over to that dealership and we could come back at our convenience to test drive! J.R. is very courteous and informative. Unfortunately J.R. mentions that one of those vehicles is at Valley Nissan there in Longmont, Co. We Thanked J.R. for his time and information even gave us his card and actually walked us out. J.R. introduced us to his manager as we headed out the door both very polite and wished us luck as they reminded us they are there to assist us if needed. "5 Star in my book"! With that information we decided to stop by Valley Nissan there in Longmont. Walked in spoke to an employee who was assisting other customers but introduced us to Ben. Ben is AWESOME! I was also aware of the age and conditions of the vehicle in prospect also mentioned that to Ben it might not be appropriate for what I was pre-approved for. Specific. Ben went to Justin I believe was his name the Sales Manager? We were presented with the first deal. Not what we wanted. Justin was presenting himself aggressively and very firmly interrupted us with what he thought was a better deal???? This isn't our first rodeo as they say.... This conversation became a completely disgusting disaster immediately because I asked if there was any opportunity to purchase this vehicle with a cashiers check on Monday for the discount they offered? Justin informed us aggressively the only reason it was even discounted was to get the approved application??? I also respectfully reminded Ben and Justin do not shotgun my credit please. If the pre-approved wasn't going to work then we needed to regroup and keep looking. Now knowing what Justin did I wasn't appreciative of his tone, demeanor, attitude and pushing his finance offers. Also shotgunning my credit as I was getting multiple notifications of each and every request (15). Made me extremely upset and not feeling good. Now Justin decided to CHALLENGE me about my offer and went as far as trying to make me look dumb and stupid???? Extremely unprofessional and rude. That definitely was the deal breaker! My point was to make the deal benefit me. Isn't that expected from a purchasing stand point? With in reason of course. Well to bring this to the end we eventually decided to leave as Mr. Sales Manager verbally assaulted us with his statements "He is only ready to deal with real and ready buyers"??? Wow. Ok. And even mocked our offer to pay cash??? He walks away and leaves us and Ben sitting there still considering our options. 30 years ago my husband and I had this exact same situation happen to us with Valley Nissan, I thought they may have changed so spoke to a salesperson on the phone about buying a used Altima. I asked for a lower price than what they had advertised and she assured me that, after speaking with her manager, he agreed to my price and she actually emailed me a picture of the handwritten math the manager had given her which reflected the agreed upon price. Remembering my last experience with them, I repeatedly confirmed the agreed upon price on the phone and repeatedly reiterated that I would not be paying a penny more other than sales taxes; no fees, nothing else. Beware of price gouging and overall bad service experience!!! I took my 2014 Nissan in to get some work done under a factory warranty. The service advisor said my warranty only covered 4 hours of the 6.5 labor required for one of the repairs (approx. $250). I called my brother (Service Manager for Toyota) to see what the labor hours were, and he immediately showed my 3.5 hours. When I confronted the Service Advisor he immediately backed down as if he had no justification on why he was going to charge 6.5 hours for the repair. I still needed my truck repairs, so I agreed to have the work finished 5 days later so parts can be overnighted. When I brought my truck in, I wasn't in their system, so I confirmed the parts were there and was assured that yes, they were. 8 hours later I called to get an update and they told me the parts hadn't arrived, so the repair had not been started. I spoke to the Service Manager Jason and he offered a loaner car for the next day which is a positive and said he would speak to his associate about the price gouging. I also sent an email to the GM to see how this would be address but did not get a response. Just want everyone to be aware of the practices that could be happening at Valley Nissan. read more

I bought a 2018 LEAF from Valley Nissan, and wanted to give a shout out to the service department. I had some troubles with the back up camera working consistently while the car was still under warranty, but when I brought it in for service the camera happened to be working. The next time I brought it in the camera did not work, and even though it was slightly out of warranty, the service department agreed to order the part and install it at no cost to me. It's good to know that some businesses will still stand by their customers, even when the fine print allows them to avoid doing the right thing.
