Even after being very clear that I would walk if they changed the numbers, they tried to drop my trade-in value by $3,000+ the moment I arrived. Before I even got there, the salesperson, Lorenzo, sent a rude text refusing to even "look at my numbers" unless I showed him a full evaluation from another dealer first, then called me later on and blamed his manager and said it was him sending the texts. Despite having a quote and a check in hand, they still tried to play games with "hidden codes" on my vehicle. I walked out and went back to South Colorado Springs Nissan, who honored the $7,500 trade without question and got me a better rate. Don't waste your time or gas money here. After reading reviews, I see that I'm not alone in my experience either this dealership and its general "manager" who's typical response if there's issue he will tell you to go elsewhere without listening to the issue or offering any advice. I had some issues with a used vehicle I bought there. The service department was very cooperative in helping inspect the problems and related them to sales. When (attempting to) speak with this "manager" by phone he continually was talking over me, and when I finally had to raise my voice to tell him to stop doing that he hung up on me. I called back and was hung up on. Called back again and was told to never call again, never do business with them again ( like I would) and to never set foot on their property. I see in other reviews this is his SOP, and after having a career in customer service I truly can't understand how he still has a job. I will be paying out of pocket to make my vehicle roadworthy and safe to be driven. What a lousy policy of making relationships for return service even tho a win win solution was staring him in the face. Lack of full disclosure on EV discounts $ 3500 Excel rebates turns into a $ 2500 discount. 0% financing and $ 1000 financing incentive- without declaring that this voids the Exel discount. $ 1000 prior Leaf owner discount - but not valid with Excel discount. Yes, having an MBA, being a business owner, I know the difference between and & or. Was told that all of these incentives were going to be applied. Wrong. If you take the financing, they will take the $ 5K Colorado Income Tax Credit right off the purchase price. But, if you take the financing, you don't get the Excel Rebate, which is much, much more valuable. You know, when I deal with suppliers, when I buy a boat, and RV, a trailer, a house, my costs are clearly explained to me and I have NEVER before had such a bad suprise. Always check their math. Always check their claims. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING and be prepared to walk away if they walk back on what they told you. Because there are other car dealerships within easy driving distance. Today, a week after picking up the vehicle, I just paid cash, which is what I wanted to do in the first place. And I could have had the same vehicle a lot cheaper at another dealership, maybe without having been jerked around. Disappointed. Historically, I feel I have had decent and fair service here. Maybe that dries up once the warranty is expired? My 2nd sun visor on my 2014 Pathfinder broke (they replaced the first without much cost to us, again because of our warranty, I assume). Obviously, it's a defect and should be recalled (it's a driving hazard for sure, since it blocks the driver's visioWe wanted to replace the 2nd before a road trip. I called to secure the part, AN EFFING SUN VISOR... $257 JUST FOR THE PART. Found a replacement on Amazon for $50, watched a few Youtube videos and canceled my appointment. I was going to just leave my review on Google as enough, but then the manager decided to respond that I should seek to get the vehicle serviced elsewhere even though the vehicle still needs warranty repairs that they promised to call me to schedule. They actually refused to schedule me for that warranty work while I was there getting my vehicle serviced and paying almost $300. Last time the car was serviced their service department said the car needed brakes after a couple of thousands miles, they also stated that the car would need new rotors. The car got the brakes replaced after 10K miles of them stating this and as you can see on the pictures those brakes still had a lot more miles to go before needing to be changed. As you can see in the picture, the rotors are also not in need of being replaced but they wanted to go ahead and add $400 worth of work that the car did not need. While I was there to try and figure out why it was that they were lying and trying to get money out of me when it was not needed and show them the brake pads, the service advisor stated he was unable to tell me if those brake pads were needing to be replaced or not. The car also needed a recall done that was not done the last time that it was in and should have been. There were lights coming on and it needed an oil change but because the service advisor saw that I was annoyed by what they had done with the brakes he stated to me to come back another day for an oil change and everything else. Finally, after he realized I was not going to go anywhere until I was given an explanation, he states he will get the General Manager to deal with the issue and would get me right in. The General Manager decided to not speak at all instead passing by four times without acknowledgement that there was an issue. While the car was being serviced they found that it needed warranty work, it has a leak on the transfer case. We tried to get an appointment to get that fixed, however, the service advisor said he would not make the appointment until he spoke to the service manager on Monday and that the service manager would definitely make contact on Monday to get this scheduled. It is Thursday and nothing. An email was sent yesterday before all these reviews were posted, to give them a chance to actually get this resolved, the answer received from the manager as you can see does not state that someone would contact me to get the warranty service done on the car. When the review on Google was made, the manager decided to answer stating he tried to get the issue addressed in the email he sent but that I should go elsewhere to get the car serviced. Basically I am no longer welcomed at Boulder Nissan because I called them out on their unethical and unprofessional practices, and as you can see on the email he sent, there is nothing stating that anyone would make contact to get the car the warranty work that needs to get. I think I gave them enough opportunities to get this issue resolved before posting reviews on the internet, and they did not take any of them. If you don't like it when someone calls you out on your unethical and unprofessional practices, then maybe you should start acting more ethical and more professional. read more

I brought my Murano in for service and to have a piece of trim on the rear bumper replaced. When I picked the car up, I was told a separate piece of trim on the bumper was broken. I went out to look and returned to the service counter immediately and told the service manager there was ZERO CHANCE that piece of trim was broken before. She told me the technician reportedly showed her the broken trim before the repair began. I assured her that there was no way it was delivered broken as I had looked at the bumper trim before I dropped it off. Believe me, I would not have paid $160 to repair one piece of trim and not the other as the bumper needs to be removed to access. Shame on me for not taking a picture before hand but I never thought a respected dealership would pull something like this. Needless to say I am done with Boulder Nissan! read more

- Lack of professionalism - Lack of full disclosure - No regard for the customer I had an appointment to have crossbars put on my 2018 Murano. I had called the day prior to set appointment and ensure that they had the parts. Upon arriving for my appointment the Service Dept. treated me as an inconvenience. I was asked if I had an appointment; did I know if they had the parts; was I aware that they were closing in 40 minutes. After they found the appointment I was asked to sign for the work. I was initially hesitant because it listed the labor at $126/hour. I was told not to worry about that. The work was completed in 40 minutes however the labor charge was still $126. I was told this was the charge regardless of time. I also asked about a "Shop Supplies" charge. They could not explain to me what this was and why I was charged. I felt like I was dealing with the Cable company. The attendant went to ask his manager and came back with a BS answer. I dont' know...I only work here. Although not a lot of money it was the principle of the matter. You never want your customer leaving with a bad taste in their mouth about your organization. Boulder Nissan missed an opportunity to do the right thing. It's unfortunate as I try to frequent local businesses. I will take my company car and recommend that others in my company consider their options before they make an appointment at Boulder Nissan. read more

Dealership was nice enough, sales person was fine. They take excellent care of their used vehicles which is wonderful. They did use my appointment to sell the car I wanted out from under me. They knew I was driving from Denver, too. This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth. If I had known someone else was looking, I would have made a different decision (perhaps in their favor!) They decided to let me arrive, spend 30 min making small talk with some talk about the car, and THEN tell me a woman just arrived just to buy the car. She was a nice woman who told me that she wasn't sure about the car until they called her to tell her we were coming so she rushed down to buy it. Nothing wrong with this technically, I suppose. Beware when buying a used vehicle from this dealership. I bought a car that had multiple problems that were not relayed to me the day of purchase. After realizing these problems I brought the car in 3 weeks after picking it up to get these diagnosed and fixed at the dealership that I bought it from. Despite having the bumper to bumper warranty they were going to way overcharge to "diagnose" these problems. I was told car was sold "as is" despite these being very obvious problems that the dealership should have diagnosed prior to sale. The car also had a bad tire that had a nail in it. Was told it was unfixable and would have to buy new tires. Took the car somewhere else and they were able to fix it. the nail looked like it had been there longer than I had owned the vehicle. Should I have done a better inspection on the vehicle prior to purchase? yes, but I would have thought that the dealership would have done a better job of inspecting prior to sale. read more

Well, this is disturbing. I previously have had good experiences with service for my Xterra. I went there to get tires put on, all fine. The service guy did some extra checking under the hood (I did not ask for) and said I need transmission fluid changed. $260 ish. He said that it was damaging my transmission, and that would cost $4000 to fix a damaged tranny, so I better get this fluid changed. I did not replace the fluid at that time. He said I really need to and he SHOWED ME a bit of the trans fluid and convinced me it needed changing because it was very dark and dirty. My Xterra only has 40K miles on it. Yesterday I went to Meineke to get the fluid changed, because the guy at Nissan actually showed me the condition of the fluid. Now, the guy at Meineke says "WOW, that is strange. The trans fluid does not need to be changed until 90,000 miles!" He was reading this from the Nissan Xterra documentation. He says, "Let's go look at that fluid!" So we did. I saw him pull the dipstick out of the transmission, he put a dot of the fluid on the back of his hand, totally clear and clean. Then he got a piece of white paper, dipped again, put it onto the paper. Still clear, and CLEAN. He said "You do NOT need to change this, and it is not needed until 90,000 miles". Sooooo... I was shocked. Did the Nissan dealer actually show me fluid that was NOT from my vehicle? They showed me some very dark and dirty fluid, and it would be impossible for it to magically become clear and clean. This is disturbing, and fraudulent. My Xterra was in the back of their service area so I did NOT see where this fluid came from. OBVIOUSLY not from my Xterra. Previously, I've had good experiences there. My experience with the service dept: my regular mechanic (Chan's, they're great!) said my transmission plug was stripped, and recommended I take it to the dealer. First time there, they didn't have the parts. Fine, ordered the parts. Second time, they still couldn't get it out, and told me that they'd need to put in a new transmission and it'd cost over $800. I picked up the car and went for a second opinion. Took it to Independent Motors and they managed to get out the plug, retool it, and had it fixed within 2 hours. Cost? A hundred twenty. And I have driven Nissans for 20 years and I like them, however if you want to buy one, buy one from another dealership who stands behind their work. I bought an extended warranty and had a transfer case resealed or year and a half ago. Two weeks ago my transmission failed and it towed to empire Nissan, in Lakewood. Empire Nissan put a new transmission in on the warranty and noticed the transfer case they had installed is leaking again.They also told me that this was likely due to a poor installation, with the bolts over torqued, because they had to tap and die the bolts to get transmission loose from the transfer case. I have left numerous messages for the service manager and have not received one phone call back. I wish I could give less than one star. This is a very expensive repair and I'm extremely disappointed in their lack of service. read more

Absolutely amazing experience! So I drove out to Colorado from California on the 24th of may 2012 with no intention of getting a new car. But I new that there was a possibility that I wanted to look around so I brought my title with me. I got to colorado and my check engine light popped on. I concluded that I was over dropping around $1,100 a month on maintenance with this vehicle so I went looking for a replacement. I started my search at Auto Nation Nissan in denver (do not go there). There sails staff are very young and they do not know anything about there product. Plus they tried to nickel and dime me the whole way. I never got a warm and fuzzy. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and was obviously excited to work with me. He took the time to listen about my car and what i wanted to get for it in trade. He then took the time to search all of Colorado to find the car I wanted when it turned out the perfect ride for me was right on his lot. Jason worked with Terry to get me exactly what I wanted for my car and got me a great deal on a 2012 370z with 6000 miles on it. I then left Jasons office to go talk to Happy in Warranties. Happy went over everything with me about the car and how great some of the plans through Nissan could be for me based on my expectations on vehicle usage, and what amount of peace of mind I wanted. He wont want me to say this but he discounted all the warranties a ton so that it would match my budget. I am so pleased with the work Happy put in that day. The deal was so appealing I was smiling from ear to ear. Boulder Nissan literally helped me find the car of my dreams and I would recommend anyone to at least come talk to these guys if you are interested in a great car for a great buy whether you live in Colorado or not. My fiance and I got really serious about finding a new car for me a few weeks ago. I set my heart on a Murano or a Rogue after a LOT of research, shopping around, and test driving. Living in Boulder, the obvious choice for us was to go to Boulder Nissan. I emailed back and forth with Sara, from the internet department, and set an appointment. We went in at 5:30 on a Thursday night, and we instantly got passed off onto another sales person. We didn't meet Sara (and I'd barely call it meeting, she had to come into the office we were sitting in for something, so I'm sure she felt obligated to introduce herself) until after we had test driven the car in question, and the sales person we got passed off on to was trying to compile an offer for us. In any event, had Calvin actually fought for our business, rather than just letting us walk out the door (we did not feel like our business was desired at all), we may have financed the vehicle that night. I am beyond thankful they didn't seem to want our business at all. I emailed Sara (Calvin wouldn't give us his email and insisted I email with her because she worked "below him" and she "had to run everything by him anyway") to inquire about the vehicle, about another used in their inventory, and about lease specials - and all I ever got back was that the vehicle was sold. Nothing else. Needless to say, we took our vehicle to Valley Nissan in Longmont and ended up getting $1,200 more on our trade in than Boulder Nissan would offer us ($3,800 to Boulder Nissan's $1,600? Yes, please.) and a great deal on a brand new 2015 Rogue lease. With the way we were treated, or rather not treated at Boulder Nissan, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. I feel like we were completely disregarded, and that Calvin and Sara didn't take our desperation for a newer, and safer vehicle for me seriously. Anyone who has ever gone through the process of buying a new/used vehicle probably feels that the dealerships call/email/text more than necessary If you want a dealership to completely ignore all of your emails, never follow up with you, and pretend that your money isn't valuable - head to Boulder Nissan. Incredible experience. I have been shopping for almost 2 months and visited several dealerships between Castle Rock and (finally) Boulder. On the Boulder Nissan site it says something to the effect 'they are not your typical dealership', which I couldn't echo more positively. I purchased a CPO Frontier, which the price was lower that all of the metro/Denver area, the truck was cleaner and the experience was worth the drive out to Boulder. If you are car shopping, check these guys out. I personally worked with Brandon Kuiper and whether you are purchasing a $200k GTR or a used Truck, the service is top notch. Proof...I had my 2 year old son with me and most dealers spent very little effort (probably because they wanted us out of there), while this shop felt like being with family. This crew knows their cars (a bunch of fun gear heads), they know how to take care of their clients (better than the 20+ dealers I visited) and will match you up perfectly (no buyers remorse). Couldn't be happier. I have an old Nissan SUV. My remote keyless lock fob was broken for a couple years. I decided to get it fixed before winter. I went in there and found the folks here to be very helpful and polite. I had a few minutes and ran in there asking how much it would cost, but I didn't have time to have it done at the time. He suggested when I come back in to bring the old ones to see if they are "working" from checking on a machine. I came back the next morning. No waiting. The old ones didn't work, which is what I expected. The buttons were worn from years of use. The helpful dude in parts got a new one working for me, programmed it and I was on my way.
