Been coming here for years since it was Dr Mike. This place is just not the same anymore. Had an appt at 5:30 today. By 5:45 I thought they didn't check me in, so I confirmed and was told I was next. Waited until 6. And the receptionist told me it will be another 10-ish minutes. She also told me it was communicated that with dr Darren the wait is longer. That was a lie - I was never told. Also it wasn't not like I walked in without any appointment. To me, it's your scheduling issue! If you're running behind, just be honest. You will not be disappointed by the overall care you get here! Dr. Darin is very talented and has a way of finding and adjusting the exact spot bothering you. I recently start doing trigger point therapy (as someone terrified of needles) and can honestly say it is 100% worth it! Whoever does the trigger point, I think her name is Lisa, is so kind and easy to talk to, which definitely helps when you are not good with needles. This place is an absolute SCAM!! If I could give negative stars I would. Do not waste your money or time. My first appointment they lied to me and told me they would come up with a plan. That was a chiropractic, massage therapy and physical therapy curated plan specific to my pain. After two sessions I got a minor adjustment. The kind of back pop that you can do when your arms are crossed and your friend can pick you up. Nothing professional. I was seen by four different people in a matter of 30 minutes they sat me on a glorified tens machine didn't massage me and did not give me a physical therapy plan. Valley Spinal Care was recommended to me by a good friend. I set up an appointment and went in to get a consultation. I have BCBS Advantage Plus insurance plan. There is a 20 copay for chiropractor. I even called BCBS to verify. However upon arriving for my appointment I was told that my copay would be $50 per visit...not the $20 and if I wanted to use their services it would be $50. My current chiropractor who I was looking to leave knows abs accepts the $20 copay. I guess they are so good that they can charge a high copay than the insurance company requires. Been going to VSC for 5 years now. I was a harsh critic of Chiropractic medicine, as the few times I had tried it, I felt worse than before I went. I decided to give it another shot in a time of desperation. I was a grumpy non believer and I continued to be "that grumpy customer" for quite a while. Not only did they fix my issue, but they me feel like a new human. Sitting at a desk for 10 hours a day does monstrous things to the human spine and they taught me how to prevent myself from looking like Gollum, all while putting up with my negative attitude. Miracle! That's the word that comes to my mind when I think about how my wife recovered after getting treatment from Dr Justin. This review is about the recovery of my wife Satyalatha from herniated disc and chronic Sciatica pain despite two surgeries. Everything started in Jun 2017 when my wife could not move due to herniated disc. After due diligence and with whatever information I could gather, we took a decision to undergo surgery, post which she was able perform her normal activities. We did not know that a complication would arise until she had the same problem this year in January. Again, we spoke to our known contacts got second opinion from our hometown in India and decided to go for re-surgery. Dr. X hid some things from us which we knew only after we got medical papers from him to go to different doctor for expert opinion. We were told that the best possible way out was disc replacement. We followed all routines that the Surgeon advised. Also, we got treatment from an Ayurvedic center which provided relief and made my wife walk. However, pain was coming back after a few days. From January till mid May 2019, we tried whatever we could. Even though I was not willing to let my wife go for a major surgery, her condition was forcing me to incline towards it. That is when my sister suggested meeting Dr Justin. We took an appointment, showed him all relevant documents and images. Dr. Justin told us "I can make her better, even though it might take a few weeks. I am not worried about what the MRI says, my intent is to ease her pain and make her walk". I forgot to mention that she was walking with great pain even after second surgery and the only way she travelled was by lying in our car's back seat. We started going to VSC from Mid May. One Saturday morning she woke up with severe pain. Despite being busy on Saturdays, we were asked to come at 11.30am since Dr Justin wanted to spend good amount of time for treating her immense pain. That was the last day when my wife had severe pain in her leg. Dr Justin also advised us to go for Epidural to speed up recovery process. Since then she has been going for treatment and has improved her health so much that she got back to her routine work at home, walks for about 60-90 minutes every day and even drives car. Even after reduced pain, Dr Justin ensured that we see him 3 days in a week until 2 weeks back. The time period from where my wife was before getting treated by Dr Justin to where she is now is nothing less than a miracle to us. I can go on for pages to appreciate him, Olga (PA), Dr Darren and entire VSC staff for their care and response towards my wife. The treatment is still going on and she is not even taking medication since last few weeks. I was never a great fan of Chiropractors but Dr Justin and Valley Spincal Care (VSC) changed my opinion of them in such a way that even I am taking treatment for my cervical now. I never thought I would be excited to go to a doctor's office. VSC changed that for me. Every single person that works in this office is awesome. I genuinely enjoy talking to each person here. They are knowledgable, friendly, fun, and great at their craft. The office offers so much more than your standard Chiro office. It has a PT room, myo therapy practitioners, allergy testing, trigger point injections (my ultimate favorite) and much more. The office is unique in that they play normal music that you would choose to listen to on your own. Most doctor offices play elevator music. This office pays homage to the Wu-Tang Clan and this is evident in their merch lineup, slogans and tunes. Please don't come in if you're uptight about music - it's what helps provide a unique experience. I'm sure you can find a stuffy office down the road. Dr. J is the OG. He set the groundwork for the best culture and offers high class care at an affordable price. Dr. Darin provides adjustments now and always knows what stretch or treatment is best for additional recovery. My favorite treatment is trigger point injections. I never thought I would look forward to needles but Olga and Rikki are able to turn my day around. And of course, Taylor is always there to accommodate my last minute requests with a smile when most would find this annoying. Because this place is so amazing, they do a great job retaining and bringing in new patients. They are often busy and do a wonderful job trying to work with all their patients' needs and schedules so be patient with them. After pulling something in my lower back and spending 2 days in bed unable to get up at all and almost needing to call for help, I finally went to go to see Dr Justin. I was in so much pain, I needed to be brought in to the office with a wheel chair. Dr Justin worked on me for about 10 minutes and I was then able to walk around the office. It was practically a miracle. They then put me on a decompression machine, e-stim, and some stretching with a physical therapist. Also, they have a doctor on staff who was able to give me a few shots in my back which helped even more and gave me a prescription for musscle relaxers. After 2 days I was somewhat functional again. After 1 week, I am fully functional and just working throught the finaly stages of getting full motion again. This practice is so much more that your typical chiropractor. They have all the right equipment and staff to really take care of people effectively. I can't say how thanful I am for Dr. Justin and his practice. read more
