I'm very disappointed in the work done on my vanagon. First of all, the mechanic (don't know his…read morename) told us the engine rebuild would be done in a month. The van was finally done after 4 months, and it was clear that it wasn't being worked on efficiently. It was super disappointing because we were planning on taking it on our honeymoon which we weren't able to do. And now, lo and behold, it's still not up and running. Mechanic decided not to fix the starter, so we're stuck with more work to be done on the engine. Another thing is the shop doesn't have a receptionist, so you have to call a couple times to reach the mechanic who will be annoyed you're calling since he had to stop working to answer the phone. He doesn't call with updates either. He also charged us 1000 over the agreed upon price. I'm sure pandemic times have made waiting on parts a more lengthy process, but the fact that we had no idea what was going on and had to call sometimes 8 times to reach someone is completely unprofessional.
