I hired Valley Tree Care to do a heavy proper tree pruning. The climber Robin knew exactly what he was doing. He did a fantastic job cleaning up the tree that had been ignored for a lifetime. The grounds crew Braulio and Julio worked side by side without skipping a beat. They worked well together and did an excellent job of clean up afterwards. All three men were polite and professional, quick and efficient. Recently, Valley Tree Feeders planted a Texas Laurel Tree in my backyard and removed another tree that died. Both were handled with professionalism and easy work. Currently, the Texas Laurel is about to experience its first summer in AZ, but Valley Tree feeders has been checking on it to make sure the small tree is thriving and that I'm not overwatering which is my constant worry. Had them come out and evaluate my tree but never received a quote even after requesting it more than once. So went through someone else.

I had my date palm trimmed yesterday July 10th. I had used the same company last year and thought they did a good job. That's why I used them this year as well. However, after finishing the job I gave a check of 250 dollars to one of the guys. Today, I get an invoice saying that I didn't pay. I'm livid. I don't recommend this business ( Valley Tree Care) to anyone. They appeared to be in a hurry and I had to inspect their work and had them redo more trimming and skinning of my date palm. Spoke to Jeffery regarding yard work and landscaping. Initially things went well, but then the communication went silent. Workers came to do work but the work was left incomplete. For example, plants that were slated to be removed were hacked but not actually fully removed. Also, one of the tree installations was planted in the incorrect place. Jeffery came back to look over the work and agreed that it wasn't what we initially agreed upon. Despite this, he blamed the other crews and took no responsibility for the lack of oversight. I was told multiple times by multiple people that they would notify their management and I would receive a call back within a day or two, but it has been weeks and I have yet to receieve a call or have the work fixed. They have my money so it appears they take the money and run without any care for quality. It's a very poor value as the work isn't worth the hassle of getting it done. I was hopeful given the other positive reviews but now I am having to eat the cost to have another come in to get the work done properly. I'll send over the invoice but am not optimistic that I'll hear anything back. I did give one star for the irrigation work as that was done professionally and was well communicated. The rest of the work was done in a manner that pushed sales over quality by people who now remind me of stereotypical used car sales people. I definetly got a lemon. I don't normally post reviews and tried to give a good faith effort to let them contact me back, but unfortunetly I have been driven to post this based on the negative experience I had. One of my palms "died" They sent a rep who is an arborist who assured me the tree was not "savable" and more importantly that it would NOT infect 2 trees near it. Additionally, they assured me that they had adequate insurance as near the tree was a pool, fence and patio. The tree crew was very professional, and the stump removal crew was also. Would not recommend this company. They cut 2 trees down for me and didn't have enough room in their truck to remove it all. This was done on a Friday. They said they would be back on Monday. No show. I made numerous calls to them with no results until after 4 pm. Another crew came Tuesday morning and cleaned up. They returned a few weeks later to do a neighbor's palm tree, but had to use my driveway to remove it. Yet again another mess. Water bottles thrown under a tree in the yard. Kerry recently stopped to look and my citrus and palm trees to recommend treatment. He is the first honest to God arborist I have spoken to in eight years that I would hire. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and listened very well. He made the recommendations in writing for the technician to follow when the tech arrived two days later. It seems clear to me that Valley Tree Feeders is doing business differently. I never felt confident that the techs who previously did the assessment really knew what they were doing. OK. Tech arrived two days later and immediately gave me his opinion of what needed to be done, that differed from what Kerry and I had discussed. I politely ignored his opinions. Prior to this visit, VTF always sent the tech out to recommend and treat at the same appointment. I was a little put off this time that I needed to make two appointments, one for an assessment and one for treating. But I went with it. Makes SO MUCH MORE SENSE to send in the top gun, Kerry, out for the consultation, spending as much time with me as he needed. And send the tech out to implement Kerry's recommendations. Got a quote in November to prune a lemon tree for this spring. Charged me a ridiculous $350 to do the job for one tree, cut maybe 15 small branches... When the pruners arrived they spent no more than 20 minutes trimming the tree... 20 minutes of work and then unapologetically charged $350 dollars. I guess I expected differently because I had regular landscapers trim the tree, along with the rest of the backyard, and wanted to see what "professionals" would do. And again... They trimmed the same parts for more than 3x the price... for one tree... My fault for thinking they would do anything differently but very unethical and definitely price gouging to charge that price for 20 minutes of work. Will not go back to them again. You will also be called several times a month for other services after you do one service... just beware and shop around for other quotes... read more

My queen palm trees really took a beating during 2019-2020. One of them had a fungus or something and had long had a deformed crown and quit growing. We determined that one couldn't be saved, but the palm by the pool had quit sprouting new fronds and I really didn't want to lose it. These folks are very knowledgeable about the work they perform. We had 2 ficus trees that were almost dead. The tech diagnosed the problem was a fungus and quoted a treatment to kill the fungus. While the treatment was not cheap, it cost much less than replacing the trees. Now instead of losing leaves the trees are showing signs of new growth and appear to be on the road to recovery. They also deep root feed my palms. They are growing like crazy with lush foliage. We have used Valley Tree Feeders before to trim trees and had excellent results. This time we used them to pull some trees and replant and do some irrigation repair. The first day the crew that came out to pull the trees was on time and very efficient . The second day when it came to stump removal and replanting there was some hiccups and took a week to replant and finish the irrigation and lighting repair. Mark the foreman is getting some quotes for concrete repair so that still needs to be done but the rest of the work is now complete. read more

I have an apricot tree that was struggling in the Phoenix heat and poor soil. The technician came out and suggested a feeding program. We went forward with it and the tree is doing wonderful. Within about two weeks from the feeding the tree's yellowing leaves began to noticeably green up and the branches began to grow very well. They did a deep root feeding on Queen Palms. After the feeding the change in the foliage was incredible. They were prompt and efficient!

Hired them to help my Queen palms. They said I needed added services and that they do deep root feeding. When I looked at the job the guy was doing, I mentioned it wasn't very deep. He said they can't go deep because they don't want to damage the drip lines. I should have called him on it but didn't. He told me it wouldn't make a difference. I paid for the deep root cleaning and fungus treatment. $600 later I watched to see results. It's at least 8 months later and I don't see much of a difference. I asked them to come out and tell Me what they thought. What they thought was I needed to pay for the same service again and it would now work. I told them about my concerns the first time around and they just said sorry, sometimes it needs multiple treatments. It's unfortunate that they don't stand behind their work. I brought that up and their response was that they use the best ingredients. This service is not worth it at all. Go the standard route and buy the stuff from Home Depot or Lowe's. It's better and will save you lots of money. There is no way I can spend $1200 year on feeding queen palms. read more

They are extremely sweet young boys that come out to assess your trees but they didn't know much about pine trees and we ended up losing one of mine despite trying to save it.
