When we first reached out to Danny and explained that we wanted to redo our entire front and back yard, he came over and spent at least an hour or two over two or three visits and helped us plan out our vision for our yard. We were quoted a very fair price and the work started the next week exactly as promised. Throughout the project Danny and Willy's communications with us went above and beyond anything I've come to expect from "service companies" these days. It seems like most companies overpromise and underdeliver. But Danny and Willy delivered exactly as promised and more to be honest. They were constantly checking in and making sure we were happy with the progress, and anytime we highlighted an issue (which only happened once and was very minor) or something we wanted to change, Danny and Willy were eager to make the changes and make us happy. I was quoted one price but always charged significantly more depending on which way the wind blew, so to speak. He would always, without fail, cancel/reschedule on me at least once. Then when he did show up he was always very late. I would call him to fix a standard bubbler leak, I can say standard cause I normally do them myself, and he would show up without the stuff to fix the leak and have to come back. This happened repeatedly and was extremely frustrating. He was a nice guy and spoke English so in lieu of going back on the hunt for another landscaper, I reluctantly put up with it. Until tonight. Today I had a regular maintenance. I had 1 very small leak fixed, in which I supplied the parts because he did not have anything with him again. He tried to get $60 more than my quoted price again. I did not have that much cash so he took $40 more than my set price. Which was more than fair given the leak was in the spaghetti line and took 5 minutes and he used my materials. He decided to text me tonight saying he needs to charge me more for my regular maintenance. More??? I was already routinely paying significantly more than I was quoted. He says he charges $100 an hour and can't survive by charging me $160 for my maintenance (keep in mind I was quoted $120 for my maintenance). He was here for 1 hour today and I paid $160 (he wanted $180). If he supposedly charges $100 hour then I have been getting taken advantage of for years and sounds like he owes me money. Let me also say that my yard is standard track home size. I have one tree which I pay a separate arborist to trim. So, as you can imagine, I was livid that he had the audacity to send me this text. Especially, given all I have put up with from him. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. My neighbor had already fired him. I felt bad but after his poor choice to text me asking for more money tonight I now know it is time to go back on the hunt for a new landscaper. There are constantly people on social media complaining about their landscaper and on the lookout for a reliable one. I just don't understand why it is so hard to find a good and reliable help these days. I should start a landscaping business. To be hugely successful all I would need to do is show up, be there when I say I will and do a decent job.

It took them a long time to copy my design who I gave to Mark. We had already purchased the travertine and everything else that was needed except for the earthen materials. Diamond Cut started the project 24 Nov 2025 and finished 18 Dec 2025. The contract says 5 to 6 business days to complete the project. This was grossly longer, and I feel they should change the timeline on their contract. People are going to be disappointed when the project isn't completed in that time frame. This is why I removed a star. The second problem was with a water line that needed to be capped off. We had to turn the water off that day which happen to be the day before Thanksgiving! We had no water from 10:30am till 3:00pm. This really was a huge inconvenience. So, I removed a star for this as well. When the water pipe was leaking there was no way to communicate with the workers, only one spoke English. We did call Daniel the GC and he did finally fix it by 3pm. Just realize the 5 to 6 business days isn't going to happen. We are happy with the finished results but the time to complete the project and the water line problem were our 2 negatives.

This time, she rushed me off the phone saying they'll get the estimate over. Today, July 10th, still no estimate. This is not a company I'd do business with.
