We were in town from MI and the group was told a local Pontiac man that they knew opened this wing spot so we wanted to support the black owned business. The wings were good the only recommendation is that are better prepared on a Sunday or at least tell people at the beginning what is not there. I hate to update this review as the valley sauce is amazing. We just ordered here and was kept on wait to place an order for 15 minutes. My hubby was tempted to hang up and go try ATL but my son and I wanted that valley sauce. They changed their fries from those delicious thin wedges to just crinkle cut fries you can get from the freezer aisle. Love the sauce abundance but the bone in wings were a little crispy this time around. Still meaty though. The boneless, however, seemed to have an improvement. I'm mixed on this place. As much as I love the sauce, I'm not sure it's worth the poor customer service when ordering and picking up (my husband said he was ignored when he first walked in) and their change in the fries. Had been wanting to go forever due to reviews and pictures. We drove the 40minutes there and picked them up. The staff was really nice, the place is clean, and the wings were just as pictured placed so nice in the containers. The only reason we are giving it 3 stars is based on taste. We got Buffalo, but for some reason it had a sweetness to it that offset the Buffalo entirely, and the wings tasted like the frozen versions from the store fried with whatever sauce they used. If you like a sweeter smoker Buffalo wing then head over, but we just couldn't get into it. read more

Came from California to visit and saw Valley Wings were best in AZ and had to try. It lives up to the hype! My wife and I came in with our 4 kids and they were very hospitable. They were very friendly and kept checking in on us to make sure we were doing well. Their smiles and friendliness really made us feel welcome. It is refreshing to see in these days of hustle and bustle where Hospitality is a lost art. My wife and I are chefs and I spent time as a General Manager of a well known steakhouse in LA area. Ok so coming from Louisiana i have this big thing about flava not flavor.. flava!! And valley wings have flava!! This place was great. Me and my gf got 10 piece traditional wings (i got the i think valley special bbq- my fav. And she got the mango habanero. Good as well), the chicken Alfredo fries ( which i might say salty and savory), and this garlic pita bread ( which was my fav thing i got).. I'm a picky eater and with us just moving to the Phoenix area i gotta say I WILL BE BACK; especially for that pita bread. The lady behind the counter said it will be the best $1.25 I'll spend and she wasn't lying!!! I'm bringing all my friends when they come to visit from Louisiana. The wings from this place are better than Buffalo Wild Wings! I never write reviews on Yelp (this is my first one), but I felt highly inclined to write this because the food and service here was just amazing. I called in and ordered my wings to go. They said the fairly large order would be ready in 10 minutes and they kept good on that promise. I was there a bit early and they were just finishing up my order as I was arriving. I ordered the following flavors of wings: Valley Sauce (BBQ), Sweet Teriyaki, and Buffalo. I also ordered their fries. At the end of my transaction, I asked for extra sauce, expecting to have to pay for it, but they gave me the ranch for free. The wings are amazing; the sauces have amazing flavor and I came to find out that ranch isn't even necessary with these wings, since they are so good. The crinkle-cut fries were sublime as well. Overall, I would have to say that there is obvious pride in the food that this staff makes. The only, very small, complaint I have about this trip are that they were out of chicken tenders by the time I had ordered (about an hour before closing). Awesome service and great food. The wings were meaty and substantial compared to most other chicken places. The sauces were great too. Overall I am a fan. When I was in the store waiting for my to-go order I saw the way a group of obvious regulars interacted with the staff. You can tell that the guys working there are cool guys and treat people well. The young guy who handed me my order was insanely nice. It's hard to describe, but these guys obviously take pride in what they do. It isn't just "service with a smile" for appearances sake. Wow! We had a overall great experience with Valley Wings. We placed a pick up order and accidentally went to the wrong location in Scottsdale. We called the Valley Wings on 19th ave where we placed the order and they went the EXTRA MILE... Tyron one of the employees at the location said that he could drive our order and meet us half way. This might be my default fave wings place around Phoenix/Glendale for now after a relatively more disappointing food experience at Crazy Mike's. I went with a friend and got 20 wings over four different sauces: 5* for Honey Hot (kind of tasted like Buffalo sauce), 4.5* for Valley Sauce, 3.5* for Garlic Parm, and 3* for Korean BBQ. They were all still excellent and my dislike for the last flavor might have been due to my expectation of it being similar to korean fried chicken and not KBBQ, which gave it a slightly saltier taste I didn't like. There was a good amount of sauce on the wings already, and there was also extra sauce on the plate. Their side of ranch was good too (and from what I remember, it was free.) We also got one side of fries, which was good enough for both of us (which is unusual because we both love fries -- so the portion was relatively big and the wings itself were so good that they left me not interested in the fries for once.) The waitress whose name I didn't get was so pleasant and attentive. When I asked for a cup of water, they gave me a little bottle of water for free. That was pretty cool too! read more
