Came by this ATL Wings location the other day and was honestly surprised to find one still open since it feels like a lot of the locations have been closing down. I've always been a fan of their Chef Special wings, so I had to stop in. The food was good, the service was amazing, and the staff took great care of us. The only thing holding me back from giving it a full 5 stars was the location itself--it just felt a little off compared to some of the other spots I've been to. ATL Wings is in the house!!! I stopped in one day for lunch after a coworker had ordered some wings the day prior. They were bomb, so I wanted to try a full order for myself. Maybe it was an off night, but the appearance of my combo was way better than the quality of the meal. My wings varied in size, but what was consistent among all wings were all were fried extremely too hard-- and Im talking crunchy! I sauced mine in the honey mustard bbq flavor, and I couldn't imagine how hard a dry rub wing would've been. Again, maybe an off night. I usually have an amazing experience friendly service and clean restaurant and delicious foods. Today they were still on point mostly but my wings were too hard to consume. Completely disappointed. Spent nearly $50 on two dozen wings to find out that all were over cooked and are super hard to eat. They offered about 20 different flavors: some spice rubs; some BBQ and some hot sauced. I got Hot. They also offer 3-4 sides and a small selection of drinks. My wings arrived in 4 mins. Hmm. I think they par-cook here. They were nice and crunchy, pretty standard. The sauce was good. It was the right heat level and the chicken was completely covered in it. The blue cheese was pretty awful. It was very thin, to the point of watery, with no curds in sight. Probably not freshly made. The restroom was a disaster. First time in today on a Monday. I go with the flow of my crew and we want to try new places around old town and we chose ATL Wings. Let's always start off with the good. The wings were actually crispy, tender, and good. The seasoning we got was pretty good and wasn't dry and wasn't overcaked on there. Overall good mix of flats and drums (I like flats more) but we ordered 36 so it was a good balance. The honey habanero regular was pretty good not as spicy as I would have expected and honestly should have got the extreme honey habanero. I like spicy, maybe next time. We got the sweet and tangy which was also good. The thing where this went a little south was from the fries. We got two huge heaps in two different bowls to go. The quantity was plenty, however the fries were so soggy and so limp they were not desirable. There was zero crisp and zero crunch. Some like fries soggy and flimsy. I like them crispy and crunchy with a soft inside. The fries get a one and my crew agreed. So we average a bit and you get 3 stars. Will I go back? I wish I could rate 2.5 stars, but since I can't I will give them 3 stars. I get wings every Sunday during football season and I was so excited when ATL finally opened in Scottsdale. I've been ordering from this location since they opened and it always seems to be a hit or miss with the quality of food. Today's order was once again a miss. I ordered 12ct traditional 1/2 ATL & 1/2 Spicy ATL (both dry rub) to go. First, the plastic top of the to-go container was broken/cracked, so I ended up picking pieces of broken plastic out of my food. Second, the wings were stacked on top of each other in one container with spicy ATL on top. There's aluminum foil separating the wings, but the foil is so thin that it tears and grease from the spicy ATL leaked onto the regular ATL wings. I love spice but my mom doesn't so she was not able to eat them. Third, the wings were very dry, hard, and overcooked. It looked like the wings were previously cooked and just reheated by frying them again when I ordered them, also it looked like they had freezer burn. I only ate 4 wings, 2 of them were too hard to eat, and the other 2 taste like grease, no flavor just grease, so I ended up throwing the rest away. Finally, not the friendliest ATL in town. The days when it's a hit, the wings are so delicious! Full of flavor, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The wings are hot and not cool by the time I get home. Also, my mom can enjoy them too because they are packaged in separate containers. I just wish there were more hits than miss because this location is so close to me. I should've known Scottsdale couldn't pull off ATL wangs. Placed an order online, picked up the food, got home and the order was wrong. I chose extra spicy and extra sauce for all the wings, but none were done correctly. In fact there was very little sauce on any of the wings Also ordered ATL fries and they were not ATL fries. Everything still tasted pretty good but I prefer the extra crispy wings with extra sauce, because it makes them extra delicious. Also placed an order for some of the deep-fried biscuits, but the biscuits were extremely small, like one bite small. Lesson learned stick to the usual ATL wings spots and avoid this one. read more

I ordered take out many times from ALT wings. They are fast. I don't have to wait too long. I tried many different rubs and sauces. I like dry rub but I just found my new favorite, Cajun BBQ.
