Let alone a problem that was deemed "severe" enough to use a painful device to control a dog. Hooves Paws Tails & Claws claimed that they had experience with walking large dogs (this was one of our first questions in the interview) and we were told it would not be a problem. There was no communication to us that there was any problem and they unprofessionally took it upon themselves to make a decision to use a "training collar" on our animal. We would have never condoned the use of such a painful (in my opinion and the opinion of a vet and several trainers) contraption. Bottom line: it was not your call to make the judgement to use anything on our dog other than what was provided. If you had a problem or difficulty it was to have been communicated to us and we are in charge of making that decision. Research: Should You Use a Pinch Collar on a Dog?
