Dont know where to start i cant even give them 1 star,i have tears running down my face as i write this. Start out by saying my Chaco is the love of my life he had been throwing up and not eating much and I just called the vet just to see what I should do recommended white rice and chicken so I did that and he seemed good for about a week( this point in my life I was out of work for 2 months so I did the best I could with not much money. I actually tried to find resources few other things they'll charge you an arm and a leg(. Which I actually would have given up my arm or leg for my dog if they would have taken it) I asked about a payment plan because I've been out of work and had no money cause Choco needed help . They said no we can't do that you need 20% down and then 4 checks post-dated. so I went home grab some things to return to Costco so I have money to put 20% down for them to looked at him took his temperature he had a temperature checked his heart lung said they were good. All I can say because of that vet my dog suffered seizures from high glucose diabetes and he told me to just wait give him some insulin and see how we went we ended up having so many seizures he went into a diabetic coma my manager at my apartment I told him to check up on him he went pick them up soaking wet took him to emergency where they put them on machines they rushed him in there said his blood sugar was over a thousand and that he only had two days to live so they could work on him it would have been very painful for him and he might not have come out of it was a slight chance and if he came out of it he would have been a lot of pain so we decided to let him go home to Jesus we got to spend an hour and a half two hours with him on the table where he was hooked up and he was sedated because of his seizures but all of this is because that vet was too greedy care more about money than the animal and make me wait to give them insulin in the first place run around town trying to get the money when it comes down to it I only gave him one shot of the whole box before he passed I'll never forget that day those two days of pain I went through watching him have seizure after seizure and I'll never forgive that vet and that clinic and I do not recommend them for anybody Please be aware stay away from that place they don't have your pets best interest all they want is your money The only way I could post it as if it's if I gave him a star I wouldn't even recommend a star what not even one but I had to give them a star just close this app read more

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! Brought my dog in on a Tuesday because she was displaying respiratory distress. I was crying and advised i thought my dog was dying from congestive heart failure. This was a new vet, seems ownership has changed. Previous vet was kind and caring, obviously loved all animals. This new owner is out to get money and I see absolutely ZERO value now in this vet. The Vet listened to my dogs heart and lungs and said "I don't hear anything wrong with hear heart and her lungs do not sound funny to me" He did blood work on my dog said she had a blood infection, but could not identify from what when i asked. When he told me he was going to give me antibiotics for the infection, asked if we should have an X-ray done or something like that he said "oh let me get you an estimate for that". since he said she had an infection and to give her antibiotics to see how she reacted, i though best to hold off until we see how she reacted to the antibiotics and he did say "it is up to you if you want to get it done or not"; however I was the one who mentioned it and thought that was odd. Another tip off he is out for money is he wanted to get my dogs nails clipped because she had arthritis and said it would help with the pain. Look, this was not why my dog was panting, nor was the 1 point level increase on her thyroid, when he said she had hyper thyroid after receiving blood work. He kept her for about an hour and put her on an IV to Re-dehydrated her. He said she was very dehydrated and we needed to make sure she kept hydrated, he gave us antibiotics, pain meds and thyroid pills, and sent me and my dog home. The vet said if she did not get better in 2-3 days bring her back. The very next day, my dog was panting worse, i took her to the emergency veteran clinic in Lynnwood. Upon arrival they rushed her back to triage, after a short time she passed away from cardiac arrest. They said she had cancer in her chest so bad she had no lung tissue left and her heart was being squeezed. I asked the vet if she saw this dog in a non-emergancy situation panting and breathing this way what would be the first course of action to take. She said every vet is different; however respiratory distress is nothing to mess around with and she would take a chest x-ray. Yes my dog was old, and yes even if this vet would have done an x-ray I would have been in a position to choose to put my dog down or not that day vs. her passing away from cardiac arrest the very next day. My point is this - If this vet truly cared about doing the right thing, he would have done the x-ray first, then the blood work, or since you did blood work and you noticed white blood cells off the charts, then insisted on an x-ray to find the root cause. He should not have "insisted on hydrating her for an hour, clipping her nails, or giving me meds and having us come back in a day or two ($$$). I am not faulting this vet for the passing of my dog, please do not take this rating as that. This vet charged me for unnecessary work that he knows could have been avoided by simply following simple triage steps. Also My bill was over $400...not the best value, you can find better care and a better price for your animal, ask around....DO NOT COME HERE. THAT WAS MY LAST VISIT. FYI, - The ER vet tech listened to her lungs and heart and right away rushed her back and gained my approval for an x-ray...THE VET TECH! read more

I've been going to Value Vet for at least 10 years & love working with Dr Robinette. She is very compassionate & you know she loves your pets. She has worked with me through renal failure problems with two cats allowing me to give them better quality of lives until it was time to let them go. Now she treats my two dogs. Prices for treatments are very reasonable. The only reason why I don't give Value Vet 5 stars is because they don't take appointments. This is a first come, first serve set up which in many cases it will take 1-2+ hours (on a Saturday) to see the vet & cash out. Also, they have newer front desk staff that, although friendly, come across as not completely organized. If you are looking for a good vet I do recommend working with Dr. Robinette. read more

A botched euthanasia for a 12 year old cat suffering pulmonary distress !. it took an hour of horror for them to finish putting my cat down. First shot was not enough, had to wait another half hour before second shot was given to finish the suffering. Only poor excuses as to why we were kept waiting so long in the exam room. They screwed this up badly ! and then charged me an office visit plus euthanasia fee. NEVER again will I take any of my pets to them again. They are an emergency only clinic with pretty much no diagnostic equipment not even an x-ray machine ! and their prices are only okay, good luck if you decide to use them. read more

I have used this clinic for over 20 years. I used to take in foster cats and needed a clinic that had reasonable prices so I could get the medical needs of many cats taken care of, along with good, compassionate care. And, the fact that the clinic was a "first come, first served" office was helpful when I had a "cat emergency" so I didn't have to wait while the cat got sicker or spend $1,000 plus to go to an emergency clinic. The front desk staff were sometimes overwhelmed; but they remained friendly and helpful. The medical staff were very thorough and always gave good explanations and recommendations. I just recently had reason to use the clinic under the new ownership, and I found the front desk staff to still be friendly and helpful. The new "make an appointment" policy is helpful to me in keeping my daily schedule. read more

Do not go here if you're looking to save money. I came in to update my cat's vaccinations and was GOUGED for money... ended up leaving with only one shot because they wanted to charge me for all sorts of unnecessary tests (stool samples, blood tests, etc... for a completely healthy animal). They originally totaled me at over $200 and I balked. Ended up only leaving with one shot and paying $55 for an "exam" that I didn't agree to, and that the price of which had not been previously disclosed. It also took forever. This place is a scam. After paying $75 for an appointment that resulted in only one shot (rabies), they called and harassed my emergency contact for even MORE money, saying I still owed about sixty dollars... for the single shot. This business is unacceptable. Calling themselves "VALUE vet animal clinic" is such a predatory con on people without much money to spend on their animals. An absolute scam. read more

Value Vet isn't so much any more since new doctors. I had been taking my cats there since 2003 but now it's too expensive. I use Dr. Robinette's Critter Calls Mobile Vet service now. She comes to your house for exams, shots, lab work but obviously doesn't do surgery. So I called Value Vet (they still have my cats records) and the price for a cats dental cleaning has gone up from under $200 to $460+ exam for $40 - time to look for another vet. read more

Came in to have my dog looked at. First time was given antibiotics and they didn't work second time the vet said that it looks like my dog has an autoimmune disease. Contacted the breeder and the breeder called the clinic. This clinic disclosed all information and broke hipaa violation. They called my wife crazy to the vet. There will be a law suit files beware cutomers with this clinic as they do not follow hipaa standards. I am very displeased with this clinic for their unproffesionalism. I have to call veterinary hospitals daily as part of my job. I have talked with literally hundreds of receptionists, client service specialist, technicians, etc, over years and years. This hospital hands down has some of the worst customer service I have had to deal with. I have never stepped foot in this facility, but you can tell a lot from a phone call. A huge red flag that I notice when I call is that no one there introduces themselves by name when they answer. Anyone in a client service position should know that giving your name is basic, unless you don't want them to know who you are, probably because you plan on messing something up from the start. Something as simple as a request to transfer records often requires several phone calls, and it's a toss up whether we receive the correct records or not. I called recently for records, and when I told them who it was for they made some rude comments about the client. I'm glad she wasn't planning on going back there! I have not once called there and had a "pleasant" phone call. They are always short and sound irritated. Definitely not a way to run a business, let alone a business in which people are practically bringing you their children and expect compassionate care. read more

We have been going to this clinic since 2009. They have always done a great job and been very sweet any caring with our pets. I would have given them a 4 star review in the past on the other hand.....almost everyone who had worked there is gone now! I only recognize one person. All at once everyone is new! It is not fun because our pets have some medical issues that the whole staff before was aware of, they remembered our pets every visit, knew all of their quirks and treated them with those in mind. The new staff was nice, just not the same. As far as being busy, they are super busy. They have great rates and the office is walk in only so there will be a wait. If you are there when they open, you are in and out quick! Ask them what times are better and they will let you know when it is usually slow. read more

I went here because i wanted to get my dogs teeth fixed for a fair price on both ends. The estimate they have me was ridiculous. I took my very sick cat here. I understood that this is a value vet and that is exactly what you get. I waited a while to be seen, which I expected. When the vet came in they looked at her took her temp and weighed her. She said she had liver issues. She did not offer to do any tests there. She referred me away. She did not go into any detail. She did not display any empathy. I may go back if I know all my animals need is a quick check up or shots, but I will NEVER EVER EVER go back knowing it is ANYTHING serious it was a waste of my time. read more

Very rude staff. Receptionist had her child running around behind the counter going through drawers the whole time. Was overcharged for services and medicine with no explanation given. After being told that we had an pen prescription, they would not refill it. After promising to have the doctor call back we received no call. Complete disregard for pet comfort. WILL NEVER GO BACK!!! We took our dog to Value Vet 10 times in a year for Allergies and for her nails to be clipped. The FIRST and FIFTH (final) visits "Dr" R saw our dog. "Dr" R was rude, unprofessional, and mis-handled our dog right in front of us. AT NO OTHER Vet have I ever been asked for my dogs leash so that the Vet could handle the dog. My dog was already muzzled, but for some reason "Dr" R felt it necessary to show my pet who's "Boss" in order to give us a referral to a dermatologist. (Makes perfect sense right? WRONG) She began by tightening the muzzle with such a violent motion that it jerked my dogs neck and head. Just 3 weeks before, we took her to Ocean Shores with us where she as usual....was 100% friendly with people, pets, and KIDS. My dog is a 13 month old, 40 pound female Pitt/Boxer and has NEVER bit a person, but we were asked that she stay muzzled for precaution (no problem). After "Dr" R adjusted the muzzle as tight as she could get it, she asked me for the leash, at this point my dog is on the leash, muzzled, and noticeably scared. Then she started trying to get my dog to heal, pulling her around by the leash, my dog begins to growl and bark, the "Dr" persists and tries harder, and then my dogs starts to thrash and bark. That's when I stepped in and took the leash away, and brought her back to me, she was pretty shook up, shaking, and had a mild limp. I said "that's IT!! she has NEVER been like this with ANYONE...you're DONE handling my dog, so STOP" She somehow twisted her paw up when she was struggling with that poor excuse for a Veterinarian. She gave us a business card for us to take our dog to see a dermatologist, and she took a 2 minute look into her ears as I held her by the muzzle and harness....which is ALL we wanted done in the first place. Then she asked me to take the dog to the car while my girlfriend paid, like my dog and I did something wrong. What a monster of a person, with no care and compassion for a sick animal. I didn't take my dog there to be handled, trained, judged or jerked around from the leash/muzzle straps by "Dr" R. ***for the record, Dr Bin is GREAT, when she saw our dog, she put her hand out slowly, talked soft, and allowed our dog to come to her, like ANY HALF WAY smart person does, Schedule with her ONLY for your pets protection IF you go to Value Vet*** read more

I took my cat in for an infection from another cat biting him. The wait time I was quoted on the phone (since it's a walk-in clinic) was accurate, so I definitely appreciated that. The front office staff was great, and the first 2 vet assistants I met were very sweet. However, when they took my cat to weigh him, he freaked out and another vet assistant (shorter girl, straight dark hair) came in to help. She was bossy and rude to me and her co-workers, which I considered very unprofessional. The doctor was friendly, and extremely informative... she has a funny, sarcastic sense of humor. I do wish the staff didn't try to "sell" you so many add-on tests/procedures though. It would be one thing if I had health insurance for my pets, but all expenses are coming out of pocket, and I don't have $200-$300 to spend on a single vet visit. Also, I understand animals can react negatively when they are hurting or stressed, but I think the staff needs to trust and use the owners more... if the owners are willing! Had I held my cat, or at least been allowed to pet him, I could have assisted in keeping him in a more trusting, calm mood (like he was with me alone in the exam room, before they began grabbing his scruff). If I had gotten bit, then that's on me... It's not like I would sue the vet clinic that is treating my animal's medical condition! All in all though, I would recommend them to a friend. read more

Having a pure Pitbull at such a young age, many of the other patients were weary toward my dog...which I personally find ridiculous; but to each their own. Today was the second time going to value vet and seeing Dr Robinette. I had gone to Diamond for years and needed a change so value vet was recommended by a friend. The first time I was there my Bichon had a injury and ended up going to a specialist for a ACL repair. I was so happy with Dr Robinette everything she said about this injury was spot on with what the specialist said. The surgery went just like she explained and the rehab was as terrible as she said it would be. Today was a day our family knew was coming but your never ready for Our old kitty was sick. When Dr Robinette came into the room I had a peace come over me. She explained what she felt was going on and took time to answer all our questions and tell us what was going to happen. She carefully did what she needed to do and talked to us telling us she's doing fine and softly said She's asleep now.....RIP our sweet Chloe and Thank You Dr Robinette and staff for helping my daughter and I get thru this. read more

I have used this vet clinic a few times now and will bring all my animals here to Dr. V. He is the best vet I have come across. He came in the room all positive & upbeat (at the end of the day). He sat down right on the floor and visited with my yellow Lab to check out his leg. He was thorough but didn't go overboard with wanting a bunch of tests like every other vet I have ever been to. He had realistic conservative plans for a regular family dog in a middle-class family. I got in for a visit on the same day I called. The vet tech is great too. They are animal lovers there and it shows. Last time when I had my cat there, it was Dr. V that made phone calls to me directly and not the tech or receptionist for followup info & lab results. It is a nice big waiting room which makes it nice between cats & dogs. lol. No frills, plain & simple which helps keeps costs down! No high-pressure sales for foods, products, or services. Ok for shots...as long as you never give the leash to a worker and never let your animal out of sight. These people should not work with animals. The Dr is terrified of larger breed dogs. The one assistant thinks its' funny to get the dogs all worked up out in the waiting area...I actually had to get my dog into the waiting room while she held onto the leash yakking and yelling and carrying on. I've had my dogs in for shots and I was naive enough to bring one in with a broken foot. DO NOT ALLOW THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON YOUR PET. What the deal is, is cruelty, as they are milking you for hundreds and hundreds of dollars. The dude at the front counter...total idiot and wants to be a drama queen. Not appropriate in this setting!! They are so bad they should actually be reported to the State DOH. I was even given expired medication!!! Slipped into an envelope so I couldn't see the packaging. read more

The ONLY reason I took away one star was due to the fact that the clinic does not have Xray capabilities here so you must drive your pet to a vet in Edmonds to get xrays done. Aside from that, this vet office is absolutely fantastic! I have taken my pet to four different clinics throughout his life of 10 years due to me re locating. The Dr.s and staff here treated me so well. Knowing that I am on a fixed income, they never do unnecessary testing or treatments just to trump up their bill. Also, they will quote you prices for everything they do, BEFORE they do it, if you ask. My dog has never liked his other vets, but he lets this doctor handle him without any problems. The doc treated him and me so well....she explains everything and is extremely thorough in her exams. Even though we are still trying to diagnose my dog at this time, the doc is not giving up on my little baby. The first time I went here last month, we thought we were walking into the vet to put my baby down to sleep. But, the Dr. wants to do all she can first to make sure we aren't putting him down prematurely if she can actually help him live longer with a good quality of life. I was having a very difficult time when I took my dog here the first time, thinking I might not leave with him, and the staff was so kind to me. They brought me a box of tissue while I waited, which wasn't long as they got us right back in a room so we didn't have to sob in front of everyone waiting. And the prices are Much better than the others in the area I have been too. I am sure their choice to charge lower fees and have less overhead (for spendy xray equipment) was a choice of the Dr.s so they could work with pets of owners who don't have the luxury of unlimited amounts of money to treat their pets. Just don't be surprised at the lack of expensive furniture and undecorated lobby, as this is probably why they are a little less expensive as the others, they put their efforts into treating their patients...not decorating the lobby with expensive furniture :) Also, they do not take appointments...it's a walk in first come first serve...unless you are getting your pet a surgery as they schedule those. So, to wrap it up I would say, try this vet clinic. I was very surprised at the great treatment here that feels genuine, not fakey like they other vets I have been too. All the staff were awesome! And because of this Dr., even if my baby doesn't have much longer to play on earth, this Dr. does all she can to make sure his time here will be pain free and happy :) I love this place and have been telling everyone I come across about it :) read more
