Demand an invoice and a contract before the worker leaves. In my case, the electrician claimed he couldn't print out either one from his tablet. I don't have experience with a tablet, but I doubt that this is true. 3. Don't sign anything you can't read beforehand. This sounds elementary, and it is, but I still fell into this trap because I trusted the man, who had me sign his tablet even though I wasn't able to read a word on it. I should have refused.
