I was so excited when I found Valvoline in Ozark. They were quick, efficient, and seemed to be honest. I decided to get new tires from them. I was so excited at the price point and how quickly they could get it done. I got my new tires and as I was leaving, I noticed a light still on on my dashboard. I put my car back in park, right where they had parked it, to run back in and ask. Their employee then backed another client's white van into my car and caused $5k worth of damage. The man they referred to as the owner wasn't in at the time. I gave them my contact info and let them know if I didn't hear from anyone in an hour on how they were going to fix my car, I'd be back in. No one called so I went back in. The man they referred to as the owner, Austin, was actually just a young manager. The company is owned by Ward Family, LLC. I told him who I was and he told me how busy he was and would get to me eventually. He did not apologize. I became escalated, I won't lie. I was shocked at his nonchalance and lack of empathy and basic human decency. This was a man who supposedly helps single moms with free oil changes?! A man of faith! Austin told me I had no right to their insurance information and that I didn't understand how things work with businesses. I told him I was going to call the cops and walked outside. He slightly changed his tune, came outside and asked for MY insurance information, gave a half ass apology, and promised he would take care of it. I gave him my insurance info because I had nothing to hide. I gave him my phone and email so he had multiple ways to contact me. He still refused to tell me his insurance information. He told me they would only pay out of pocket. I refused that over and over for TWO WEEKS until he finally agreed to go through insurance. I went to the police station and filed a report. I talked to my insurance. I called Valvoline corporate. I talked to lawyers even! That's how badly this was handled. Austin told me I had to go get two estimates if I wanted him to file. Again, it took two weeks for Austin to file a report with their insurance AFTER I played his little game and did the song and dance of getting estimates that his insurance told me was not even necessary. Their insurance then refused to tell me the claim number. This happened on June 24th and my car is just now finally fixed (again, $5k of damage and 14 days of repairs) on August 21st. Almost a full two months of fighting Austin and Valvoline's insurance. Valvoline Ozark should be ashamed of themselves. read more

The absolute best service anywhere! How could anyone go anywhere else to have their oil changed except for Valvoline? Traveling from Michigan to California, and the only shop I ever look for is Valvoline! They check everything for you automatically. Oil change, fluids topped off, they check all your lights and brakes, tire pressure. I'm also having tire rotation done. And they are so fast. And they are so friendly. Just returned from Valvoline Express Care. Jeff and his crew do a great job. Very knowledgeable and very fast service. Very up front, if they cant fix something they let you know. Had an oil change and radiator flush and only waited about 25 minutes. They were busy with other customers also but these guys get the work done and you are on your way. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would....I also purchased an Acadia from these so called auto dealers..i was assured that everything worked as it should and I should have known better when I heard one guy say something about the A/C to another and he said of course it had been checked out and it worked...WRONG...I have had this vehicle for almost 2 months and have been able to drive it for a total of about 1 hour excluding the drive home where it threw a check engine light (cat converter) and the A/C stopped putting out anything close to even cool air...$5400 for the piece of crap they sold me + $550 for cooling fans and its still not fixed....these clowns need to stay in the oil change business and NOT the auto sales business....worst business decision I have ever made..my advice..stay away from these clowns read more

I can't begin to tell you how angry I am at you guys. My carpet was brand new in this car less than a year ago after a Insurance claim replaced it. After having you do my oil changes this year my carpet looks like something out of a junkyard. I can see boot marks of oil from every person that changed my oil over there. Valvoline Express Care - Boot marks and oil stains from the Valvoline workers - Auto Repair Near Me - OZARK, Missouri

On 6-24-20 we had oil changed at Valvoline Express Care, 1700 James River Rd, Ozark, MO. Our motor was ruined when oil filter installed by them came off and all oil drained out within 6 miles. Store Owner Jeff Ward towed our car to his Ozark shop and then concocted a story blaming our car for the problem. (f1) They kept our car 5 months & 3 weeks (175 days) during which time they replaced the engine BUT forced us to pay $639.45. (f2) Our lawyer said we had no good choice but to pay or the shop could claim our car. We paid that amount the 1st day they told us the amount, 12-15-20. BEWARE. I am told that this man owns 7 oil change shops in this area. You might be the next victim, forced to pay dearly for their error while your car depreciates during their slow repair. (f1) Store owner says he has video showing that the "serpentine belt wrapped around the water pump pully causing pressure that blew off the filter." Two of his employees and I viewed the motor several minutes each BEFORE he viewed motor. All three of us (all car guys) saw nothing like that. If anyone wanted to be deceitful in an attempt to avoid liability, a similar fake video could be created in 5 minutes. (f2) Store owner says I agreed to this pay arrangement, but I have electronically dated documentation provided to store owner on 6-29-20 where I protested his requirement for us to pay and we did NOT agree to this. All of this is True and totally consistent with my lengthy text messaging with owner, notwithstanding the store owner's probable reply. read more

Purchased a vehicle from the car sales portion of this location. In the beginning communication was sparse when asking about details in regards to the vehicle. Went and test drove the vehicle and there was a check engine light on and a vibration at 65mph. I asked if these things could be fixed if I purchased said vehicle. I was assured by Jeff and Austin that they would fix these issues. They fixed the vibration at 65mph the best they could. I was told the O ring needed changed in my gas cap and they apparently fixed that and after 3 or 4 fill ups the engine light would shut off. Went through 7 tanks of gas and the light is still on and I arranged to come have the codes ran and see what the issues are and there are 2 codes. I messaged Austin as he was already gone for the day, but knew I was driving down from Springfield after work to tend to this. I took pictures of the codes and messaged him and he is no longer holding to what he and Jeff told me to ensure they made sure the check engine light was fixed. Of course he didn't write his promise on the Due Bill, shame on both of us. Austin suggested I purchase a $10 gas cap from Auto Zone to "fix" the problem. When I suggested he or Jeff do this as I was promised the check engine light would be tended to I have yet to get a response. Very disappointed. Purchase your vehicle there with caution and make sure any promises are documented on the Due Bill prior to vehicle delivery. read more

I purchased an Acadia for my wife and family at Express Care. We had a very good rapport with the salesman there. He ensured us that it was a reliable vehicle with a clean title and had been through their service department with a complete inspection and service. After a test drive, we were concerned with a shimmy in the front end and a slight pull when applying the brakes. They put it on the lift and said everything was good, but the brake pads would need replaced in three months and tires in six. They seemed completely reliable and honest, so we completed the purchase. When we received the title, it came back as a repossessed title. We took the vehicle to our local mechanic to check the brakes out and he said the rotors were warped and the pads and rotors needed replaced. The issues in the front end also required rebuilding the front end, including struts and bushings. We got it home and it started throwing engine codes, which ended up being one of the catalytic converters. We drove it for less than 50 miles and a second cat had to be replaced. This vehicle has three. We drove it another 100 or so and it burned up a cam sensor, because the engine oil was so thick and black. My mechanic also isolated a rattle in the front end as the subframe bolts being loose. He stated that the vehicle has been in a major accident and the bolts had not been tightened properly. I contacted the owner of Express Care and he feels no responsibility because I should have known when I bought it. Even though certain things had been promised, he refused to do anything. This vehicle has been in the shop more than we have been able to drive it and I had to rent a car for a week, since I couldn't use it. All of these things could have been prevented if they had actually done the service that was promised and it had been inspected properly. At this point I'm out almost $3,000, after I purchased a "reliable" vehicle. read more

Serviced my car on Monday, Tuesday I'm broke down. Several hundred dollars later, it is determined by Friendly Ford that Valvoline Express Service's negligence caused the problem. They (manager Alec at Valvoline Express in Marshfield, MO) acknowledged culpability. Owner (Jeff Ward) requested copies of the bills...which I provided. Three trips into to Marshfield, and a ration of BS later, they still have not made it right. It is NOT ok for a 56 year old woman to be broken down 50 miles from home because of someone's incompetence. Avoid the Marshfield, MO location like the plague. read more

***Fraud Alert*** Went in for a $12 vehicle inspection and was informed I didn't pass due to front brakes too worn. Was told they would need to put new brakes on to pass the inspection. I left and took my car to have the brakes replaced. After replacing, was told the brakes still had a lot of life on them. Went back to Valvoline Express Care to finalize the inspection and was told they lost my paperwork and I would need to make a follow-up appointment the following Monday for a full re-inspection. Be warned, this place uses their inspection license to trap unwary patrons!! read more

Avoid the Marshfield location!! If I could give zero stars I would. I had my oil changed here and they neglected to tighten the oil plug. If I hadn't noticed oil leaking and checked tightened it I would have undoubtedly lost the plug, oil, and motor on my trip home. Also, figuring they couldn't mess up a safety inspection I was once again proven wrong. They put the wrong name on the form, and marked it a gas vehicle when its a diesel then wouldn't correct their mistake without charging me another $12. read more

I have been going here to get my oil changed along with other services for over 10 years. I recently moved out of state and will still go to them when I'm in town because I trust them so much. They never recommend work that doesn't need to be done, they are straightforward and honest, and have proved over and over that I can trust them with my car.
