Lacks customer service and very rude. My first time coming to one and did not know what to expect. They refuse to acknowledge you if you have any questions. Since I'm not from here, I didn't know if they were closed or just had the doors closed so I got off to see if they would be able to do an oil change but they refused to even say anything to me. Not sure if I would come back, I honestly wanted to leave but someone had already blocked me in and I wasn't able to go around and leave. I requested an oil change and filter and asked them to rotate my tires. The service technician was very friendly and accommodating and explained everything as to how this particular shop did business. I ended up buying an additional filter for my engine but was quite happy with my visit. The total cost was around $120.00 which was in line with what I normally paid at the dealer. I plan on going back in another 500 miles for the same service. read more

I want to start with mentioning that the service was great as usual and everyone was welcoming and professional. My initial review from my first visit still stands and I'll be reposting that below this, but for some reason, someone at my oil change on 7/20 felt the need to remove air from my tires. The PSI for my tires is 45 PSI according to the tire. That's what it was when I arrived. When leaving, they had been decreased to 33 PSI. It's not a huge deal, but was an annoying inconvenience that could've been avoided had they asked (or read the tire) why the tires were measuring at 45 PSI instead of just lowering it to 33 PSI. "Honestly no issues! Everything went smoothly and the staff was kind and knowledgeable. Typically, I always expect staff in any car setting to be pushy because I'm a girl, but that wasn't the experience I had here. I have mixed emotions on Valvoline. I tried them out because I desperately needed an oil change, and the place I was going to previously had me waiting OVER two hours for my car, even with an appointment. The best thing about Valvoline is that it took ten minutes (literally they show you a screen that displays the time of service!). The staff were all really nice and helpful throughout the experience. I wish they would have a menu of prices before you go into the garage, because I never would've paid $90 plus tax for an oil change! Especially one that doesn't come with a tire rotation (an additional $25). They started on my oil change before I got to see the price list, thus I couldn't say no and go elsewhere. TL;DR - great for convenience and nice staff, but very expensive. read more

I've bounced around to all the Cranberry oil change places. This was one of the better ones that I've been to. They of course offer all the "other suggested" services, but don't push too hard like others have. This place was different in that you stay in your car while they perform the service. During COVID times I really appreciate the fact that ALL the staff wore masks the entire time, unlike a place across the street where nobody wore any. Price was around the same as all the other places. The guy that worked with me (Dan) was a nice guy also. I will go back. read more

I came here for a quick oil change and literally left out without even getting an oil change because of the poor service. I pulled in and they asked they me what I was there for. I told the man that I wanted a conventional oil change and that was it. Nothing more. He said ok. He typed some information into the computer and proceeded me that the manufacturer is calling for the more expensive oil change. I told the man that I am declining that and I don't want anything other than conventional. He kept pushing me and trying to get me to get that oil change. I literally had to tell him to quit speaking to me because I only wanted what I came for. This man finally walked away and someone else came over and then proceeded to tell me about corporate policies and I said I never have been pushed so hard for the other oil change. He was just as snarky as the first guy and at that point I told him to just close everything up & that I would be going elsewhere. I called the corporate line to report the incident and they said that they will get back to me within 24 hours after they review the information. Avoid this place at all cost. **I received a phone call from the manager of the location the day after and he basically asked me if there was anything he could do for me, I thanked him for calling and that I would never be back. read more

Fast and efficient. They showed me what my car was due for but did not try and sell me on what my car needed based on the mileage requirements. I came in for a full service synthetic oil change. They showed me my fluid quality and made recommendations based on that. Will come back. read more

Suggest going somewhere else for your oil change. Staff was courteous, which is why I'm giving them 1 star. After my oil change, the door handle, fenders and hood had oil on them from the mechanics hands. Was not cleaned off after completing service. However, that's not the worst part - my car is now leaking oil and I have oil stains on my driveway. Now I need to take it back to be fixed. Seems to be leaking from the oil filter. When you really only do 1 thing, you should do it exceptionally well. I shouldn't have to take it back to resolve a problem With the one thing they are supposed to be experts on! read more

Normally fast and efficient, but, yesterday I went to the one in Hershey, PA, and they were out of 4 types of oil. Of course, mine was one if them. Tech said it wouldn't be in for a week or two, and that they were getting heavier than usual traffic. I asked how much business they were going to lose from not having so many kinds, and tech responded, "None. We've been busier than usual." So, no emergency order plan in place? No offer to call around to see if Camp Hill location had oil (she did so when I asked.) It was the smug attitude that while we're inconveniencing our customers, we're doing fine. The team servicing the car was terrific but the person conducting the transaction was very pushy. When he showed me my air filter I responded I did not want the filter replaced -- he responded that he would annotate refusal to follow their recommendation. He did the same with a recommendation to change my radiator fluid -- no thank you -- ok, I will annotate refusal. This goes in our CarFax report. I am grateful for the oil change and they discounted that price for me. But the pressure for the extras was too intense. I came in for an oil change, change my oil and thank me for coming by. Don't caution me about the carfax report -- not cool. I wonder what this might have been like for my bride or daughters. This guy is the reason people do not like garages. Jiffy lube is a block over -- I hope they treat customers better. I may know more about my 213,000 mile car that gets 38mpg than a lube guy who just checked me into the garage bay. Update after business commented -- Still not impressed, just read other posts about this location and this activity is reflecting poorly on the Valvoline name. I had my oil changed at Valvoline in Cranberry twp PA on March 15th , 2023 and along with the oil change I got windshield wipers. The girl working said my battery was testing a little low and asked if I wanted a new battery. I said no but in the last week it has been giving me trouble. The windshield wipers I paid for absolutely suck. They leave streaks and not just a little one I am talking a large streak. I stopped today and figured I would get the new battery and mentioned that the wipers are no good that I got 2 months ago so the kid working said let me go get the manager. The manager told me that I bought the wipers with no warranty and nothing he is going to do. So I said I will never be back. I received a full synthetic oil change, I then called to ask them how long that oil life should be they told me 7-10k miles. They sent me home with a sticker that recommended I get my oil changed again in 3k miles. I called in spoke with a manager, he let me know it's computer generated and not written by a person. Because this is a company decision and not an individual I cannot condone this business practice in any way! If I could give zero stars, I would. Took car for routine oil change on 6/25/22. Car was running normally with no alerts showing on dashboard. Technicians appeared to have trouble with oil filter during service, using pliers or some other tool at one point. I followed all instructions given by technicians. When told to start my car, dashboard alert came on saying low oil pressure, turn off engine. Service was still being performed & I was told to turn ignition off. When service was complete, I was told to start car again. Warning came up on dash again & I alerted tech. Was told to turn off ignition. Technicians looked at engine & told me that they put the correct amt of oil in & that there were no leaks, therefore the engine had oil pressure but I should take it to a full service mechanic because it was probably a faulty oil pressure sensor which they said happens to higher mileage vehicles. I took it to the mechanic & have the time stamped reports showing that the issue began at 4:31pm on 6/25/22. My valvoline invoice, which was given to me while my car was still in their service bay is time stamped 4:30pm on 6/25/22. My car is not drivable. I went back to Valvoline and talked with a manager. I gave him copies of the paperwork from the mechanic. He said he would look into it and get back to me. He called back to say these things just happen sometimes and that the service was performed properly on my car there. My car went in driving fine and came out not drivable. I called back & asked for contact info for district mgmt. Was told it was against their policy to share that info but mgr would pass my info along & DM should call after 4th of July holiday. Still have not heard anything as of 7/21/22. Completed online survey sent from Valvoline. End of survey indicated that I would be contacted by end of next business day. That would have been 7/12/22. Still nothing from Valvoline. Called toll free customer care line and sat on hold for 30min with no response. They damaged my car and no one will do anything about it on their end. She calls me from the facility, crying, only to say the her oil change was not $40, but $249.00 Because they "took the liberty to up charge her to the $90 oil change and then charged her for a transmission service Without her requesting it. I drove there, confronted the manager, politely, and told him that he clearly scammed my daughter into upcharging her for services and products she did not order. I had my oil changed here less than 2 weeks ago and service was somewhat quick for a busy day. The problem is that while changing my oil the employees removed my skid plate and other under car shielding and when reinstalling they broke bolts and clips that keep them in place. With the metal plate being loose under my car the force from wind at a higher speed on the turnpike caused the remaining clips / bolts to break, resulting in my skid plate falling half off and scraping the ground while driving. I had to be towed to nearby shop where the employees informed me that my recent oil change was the cause of my problem. read more

Asked for a simple oil change then they proceeded to do a bunch of unnecessary work. 1) Took my not so dirty air filter out then tell me I need to change it. 2) told me I need to use synthetic and if I don't I will void my warranty....Normally I agree but my car is 16 years old and looks like it. 3) nimrod broken my dip stick handle and did not say anything. I was reluctant to not take my vehicle back to the dealership for a long-overdue oil change. On a whim, we selected Valvoline Instant Oil change. I was completely blown away by the efficiency, speed and professionalism. It may be my age talking, but I never thought I'd be this excited to review an oil change. I even re-downloaded the Yelp app JUST to give these guys a review. The service was worth every penny. I felt like my car got a total checkup. The technician reviewed the service, suggested items within reason and verified the result. Don't get your oil changed anywhere else. As good experience as I can ask for. Cost was consistent with other Oil Change providers. Their inspection naturally suggested additional maintenance. That is good business on their end. The staff's attitude and demeanor suggestioning additional maintenance was not a hard sell, but just informative. That I appreciated. "Robert" was a professional and personable. She was told she needed synthetic and they talked her into a package where they would put air in her tires and windshield wiper fluid. Took 2007 Yukon xl 158000+ miles for simple oil change. after commencement hard upsell with visuals to replace all fluids. Believing the experts work was agreed upon. Within 24 hours truck would not shift and would scream to 5 RPMs in tow/haul mode. Spoke to asst mgr who requested vehicle back & immediately drained and refilled 1 fluid(I had no idea which one until receipt) Took him for a ride and still malfunctions. He states its a solenoid, but we can take to their "unbiased" garage nearby We take to theirs plus GMC dealership garage. Both state they are stunned that Valvoline would recommend & change fluids on such high mileage. BOTH garages say needs new transmission. Local mgr states its our problem because we towed a boat in 4wheel low gear...which is COMPLETE LIE and would have blown the engine in the truck!! ! I call him on his lie and he proceeds to tell me that in small print at bottom of sheet they assume "no liability after 60k in miles"...that's funny that this was NEVER stated while recommending & selling the addtl services and if that's the case WHY would you recommend this service if you are the EXPERT??! A ludicrous bill of $620 later and the truck cannot be driven!! DO NOT trust this location they are only interested in upselling and not your vehicle! Technicians are unknowledgeable and untrained despite claims they are "Experts and ASE trained" Claim filed with corporate and time stamped proof sent. Don't go here unless your planning on getting a new vehicle. They put the wrong oil filter on my car. 7 miles later not a drop of oil in it. Ok mistakes happen, make it right. Not them. I got the run around, well it's still running, sounds good to me. Well any dummy knows you run a car without oil it's a ticking time bomb.
