Got oil change. They said I needed and air filter in the car (not the oil filter in the engine)…read more it looked dirty so I said ok, how much? She told me between $20-$23 so I said ok. Got the bill and blindly payed it. Then I looked at the bill and saw they charged me $49.99 for the filter. I asked why and the girl lied saying she said it was between $30-$50. Manager wanted to save it by offering a discount on next visit but the damage was done. Total scam artist's. They said they would make sure all my tires were at 35. They never checked them. They are at 40,40,41 and 34. All they did was try to upsell to make an extra couple bucks. Basically not sure they did anything correctly so Im going to take it to a Jiffy lube and make sure all is good. You hear horror stories all the time about getting taken advantage of at these places. They got me today. Never again. Save your money go elsewhere.

To try to make a long story short they damaged my oil pan. The man who did it quit the next day. This is before overfilling the oil and having to redo the service. The new oil pan came in , and they claimed it was defective. We had it towed to Affordable Automotive off hwy 17 Myrtle Beach who had to fix it. Over heard Affordable say they've had several cars from Take 5. Obviously not good. Take 5 was very slow to respond to all of this. I had to repeatedly ask for a rental car. Went a week and a half without reliable transportation. NOT GOOD. Overall.....went nearly a month without my truck. Lack of communication. Really the only good thing I can say is that Take 5 paid for all repairs (over $1800 in damages) and did reimburse me for the rental ($800). Nothing but a headache. One last thing: I went on YouTube out of curiosity searching opinions about Take 5. People have lawsuits against Take 5 (in the news as well) for severe damage to their engines. You will even find undercover investigations (nothing in state as far as I know yet) with hidden cameras. They catch them quite literally lying to customers telling them they need things done when they DON'T. Everyone and anyone can fact check these thing on YouTube.....or just Google search lawsuits against Take 5. Its all out there.

After checking the vehicle the tech mentioned the antifreeze was a couple ounces low, so he topped off the antifreeze with about 6oz of the solution. This brought the bill up to $160.87 (utilizing the $25 discount coupon). Greeter "forgot" to mention, when initially asked about the "all in" price that the taxes are not included and tech didn't mention the $2/oz for the antifreeze.
