Call in the morning, no one answers the phone. Their voicemail says, "We do emissions testing, no appointment needed." Drive over there within an hour, a little handmade marker sign says, "No emissions testing." He did not try to upsell me on anything unnecessary, and the amount I spent was about $20 lower than what I was quoted. *** PLEASE READ *** I was a regular visitor of this oil change location since early 2021. For the most part, I had no issues outside of experiencing long waits in line (even with no one ahead of me) and the service taking much longer than the Menomonee Falls location which I went to prior to 2021. HOWEVER, most recently (November 2023) I visited this location and they grossly overfilled my oil (by around 3-5 quarts). Within the first 10 miles of driving my vehicle, I could tell something was off. Within the next 10 miles following the oil change, my car was driving horrible, so I called up this location and went in to get the oil checked. The manager on-site was very nice and admitted my oil was significantly over filled it (likely 3-5 quarts) and that the drain plug was never pulled during my initial visit (which was later disputed without providing evidence). The manager gave me a new oil change, however, it didn't help as my car stopped running the next day. NEXT, I used customer care to submit a claim following the incident, requiring the area manager to perform an investigation and respond within 2 days. The area manager tried reaching out the next day, but I was on a work call and could not answer. I called back 20 minutes later, no response. 2 hours later, no response. 1 day later, no response. All this time, the customer care individuals were leaving him messages on his phone. Finally, after a WEEK of trying to get ahold of him and threatening to go to a higher level, I was able to get ahold of him. Made it be known, he never tried calling my back this entire time. When I finally got on the phone with him, the area manager not only admitted that the oil was significantly overfilled, but had the audacity to say that overfilling the oil had nothing to do with my car dying. ALSO, his reason for not calling me back was that he performed an investigation and dismissed the claim. This was never communicated to me. I would avoid this place at all costs, because if something does happen, they are clearly unwilling to take any ounce of responsibility. Although I cannot sit here today and say 100% that my GROSSLY overfilled oil was the only thing that led to my car dying (thus totaled), my car was driving amazing before the visit and I drove less than 30 miles after the oil change. However, I will gladly admit that outside of the manager on-site, I would not trust ANYONE else here performing my oil change. To recap, my vehicle is totaled requiring me to buy a new one, Valvoline negligently overfilled my oil, the personnel here are clearly inexperienced, if something happens and you need to make a claim - they will be unwilling to work with you, the area manager is anything but understanding/respectful, they will dismiss your claim without notifying you, and LASTLY, if they do have "evidence" they use to negate your claim, they are unwilling to share details. I will NEVER go back and nor should you. read more

When I got there it was obvious disorganization. No one walked up to my car, told me what was going on. They just waved me in. For them to tell me the computers were down but I was assured I could be serviced. After service the card reader wasn't working and I was treated like it was my fault. I was told I couldn't leave when they had me in the bay even though they had my address on file and refused to send me a bill in the mail instead the horrible employee named alexsandra told me "this is how things are done" standing with her arms crossed extremely rude when I had a pregnant girl waiting on me. Went in Sunday to get an oil change for the first time using them. Upon leaving I noticed a sound coming from my vehicle but didn't think anything of it. The sound persisted for two days so I stopped back in and spoke with the manager. Manager basically blew me off stating it was "normal wear and tear" and was no help to try and resolve the issue. Seems suspicious the "normal wear and tear" popped up right after getting my vehicle serviced. After my third time asking for a time estimate, I was then told that oil changes are prioritized over emissions test. Midway through the visit when I first asked for a time estimate, the bald Hispanic employee replied, "I don't fucking know." I've had them damage my car and after their manager reviewed the footage admitted their fault and when insurance got involved they suddenly had no idea what I was talking about, then they always seem to have different rules that just pop up. I've been going to this particular Valvoline Oil Change facility for several years now. But the last two times I've gone has led me to decide to never give them my business ever again. The time before last, I was continually treated in an overly familiar and condescending way: calling me sweetheart and honey (not cool). The mechanics were all busy talking about their weekend plans and goofing off. I was actually concerned about them forgetting to do their job on my car. It all made me uncomfortable. Then the last time I was there, they had customers already in each of the two bays. I was asked what I was there for and I told him I was there for an oil change. He then said I'd have to wait -- which was fine. But I asked him if he knew how long that might be. And he started to YELL at me while pointing to the two occupied bays that "This is what I've got!!" And then he stomped away gesturing and shaking his head. It's not as if I asked him something difficult or was in any way disrespectful -- I was just asking because I considered coming back after running a few more errands. I am from out of town and needed a quick oil change. Prices are OUTRAGEOUS. $89 for an oil change? Was told that a synthetic was the only option and couldn't get "regular" oil. I was asked if I wanted to change the cabin air filter (it was filthy). The charge was $50 and I agreed thinking it must be a special high end filter. It took about 30 seconds to replace. I come to find out that the filters are about 10 bucks or less. The only thing that saved them from one star was the friendly staff. Valvoline IOC at Silvernail Rd in Pewaukee, WI drained and filled my transmission. 1/2 mile away, my transmission failed. 2 diff fluids were mixed in my transmission causing the failure. After claiming responsibility (both Store and Area Manager) and promising to repair my vehicle, they are now denying the claim. I now have a $3,700 repair to pay for as this is my only vehicle. The transmission shop stated that other than this transmission issue, my car is in great shape. I reported this to corporate and was told the Area Manager, Mike, had the final decision on my claim. If they drained and filled my transmission with NEW fluid, and I only drove 1/2 mile before complete failure, and an independent assessor states that 2 fluids were mixed in my transmission, how exactly are you not responsible? Once, my husband had someone leave one of their tools (magnet) stuck under the hood of his car- which he was courteous enough to br. On 8 21 21 I went in for an oil change and waited about 20 minutes to get in, which is fine. Once in it seemed like the employees were more concerned with talk about their cars among themselves than telling me what was going on with mine. They changed the oil and I did replace my air filter. As they came to have me pay they did not even review what they did. I asked them if they checked my various lights, and the answer was "yes, and we would tell you if something was wrong". They never asked me to put on the brakes or turn on my signals, so there is no way they checked to see if working. When you drive your car you can't see if your lights are out, so this really would be a nice service. Also, I know my wipers were really bad, but they never even looked at them to sell me new ones. Workers kept trying to pressure me into several other services that I did not want or could afford. Over the years I've tried many other places and they are always horrible compared to Valvoline. I went to a FastTrack where it smelled like pot and the employees were all acting high and the service was definitely questionable. I went to a Havoline where they put soap in my windshield washer fluid! So yeah... I try sticking with Valvoline. This location on Silvernail is my favorite one. Well fellow yelpers this review is for the Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Oconomowoc or Delafield Wisconsin I was there at 8 a.m. I got my oil change I was in and out in about 30 minutes considering I have a V8 and it takes a little bit longer to fill up and the guy that checked me in his name was Adam he was very polite and make sure I was in the system which are you was because I already had an oil change from a different location and a different state and he made sure that I got the order I want it pulled up my filter should to me obviously told him it's okay and his one or two technicians checked all the tires with nitrogen and put them back where they should be I recommend if you're in a hurry and you need something done right the first time I suggest you come here. read more

We had our oil and transmission fluid changed less than 2 weeks ago. And all the air filters. We had been caught in the forest fires in Gatlinburg and wanted to make sure everything was fresh and clean. Yesterday, we began having trouble with shifting and sluggishness.
