I don't spend a lot of money on high end luxury items but I do like a nice piece of automotive machinery and when you spend up to $80K on your ride you invest in taking care of it to get maximum TCO value for the price. My current ride is a B-10 model Audi SQ5. So you have to know I'm not taking that investment to a place where they are going to do anything but what's right to keep that expensive ride operating as it should. I buy good, high end, cars but I run them (and I've run them hard as I use to make my money as a road warrior doing 35K-40K/year on the road) for eight to ten years before rolling them over. My last ride was a 2018 that had 300+K on it before I got this new one. This Valvoline isn't cheap but they are competitively priced. Especially if you avail yourself of the coupons. They do a thorough job of checking the points that are addressable for routine maintenance. I've been bringing my cars here for years. They caught things early that have saved me money long term. They stand behind their work as nothing goes perfect 100% of the time anyplace (98+%, sure but if it falls into that 1%-2% just acknowledge/fix it and get it back to 100%) so when I catch something that doesn't seem quite right I've brought it back to them and they make sure I'm happy before I leave. The staff is competent and friendly. They're fast but not rushing you out until you're finished. I'm in, get what I need done with a run down on key points of maintenance I can trust to make decisions behind without a sales pitch and a heads up if they notice something serious that can save me coin by addressing it earlier rather than later but also a. "This doesn't need to be addressed now but you're going to want to think about...", for later consideration, and out the door is reasonable time. I give it a recommend. read more

I was really late getting to get my oil changed. Valvoline was about to close. Bryan said that I was still good to get in line to get serviced. He was very nice knowledgeable and got the job done. I appreciate them fitting me in and getting my oil changed even though I was probably one of the last people in line. I will definitely be back for next oil change. They are very nice and respectful. One month after I got a $100 oil change, my car started stealing it and miss firing periodically. When I took it to my mechanic, he found that they used the wrong oil for my engine. He ended up replacing 2 valves and doing another oil change, this time with the correct oil. I don't care to hear from anyone from the business. I will never go back to this business! read more

Never saw an oil change place where you stay in car- I like it. Although tire rotation was done outside. Kinda fun having all these very guys swarm your car changing oil, wipers , filters at same time. Pretty fast service - I'd come back here for sure. read more

Very courteous, professional, efficient. They had some difficulty obtaining delivery of the transfer case/ATF fluid for my vehicle, but made effort to get it. I returned to have the work finished and in 20 minutes the work was done and they gave mea 15% discount. After my vehicles go beyond warranty, I take them here for service. Have never had any errors, always friendly and professional and quick. These guys have a real team attitude. I'll be back when the time comes again. read more

I started going here a couple of months ago for my oil change. I like it a lot. It's really nice to be able to stay in your car while the service is being done. It makes getting an oil change much less of an inconvenience. They also recommended another service for me but didn't have the specific fluid that my car needed in stock, so they ordered it for me and called me when it came in. It's less than half the price that I'd pay at the dealership and everyone there has been very nice and helpful. read more

I would leave zero stars for this place if i could. I went here on Wednesday morning for a standard oil change. I then drove 170 miles and my low engine oil light came on. I checked it and it was 2 Quarts low. Oil leaked all over my brand new concrete driveway staining it badly. I took my truck to a Valvoline location here in Delaware to get it checked out, they found that the O ring on the reusable oil filter canister was installed on the wrong location area causing the leak. The manager of the Delaware location couldn't believe they made this mistake. I then contacted the Phillipsburg NJ. location. I spoke to the manager there and explained what happened. He apologized and offered me free wiper blades..Dude thankfully i didn't wreck my engine or break down because of your stupid rookie mistake. Also its gonna cost me a few hundred to get my driveway cleaned..Thanks for nothing..Never again.. read more

This morning my duties extended way beyond filling the tank with gas. I do agree they do try to upsale you but hey what mechanic/car repair shop doesn't. Like a previous yelped said simply tell them you ONLY want an oil change and on you go. I didn't give them a 5 rating only because I think they are a tad expensive but you can always find $10 off coupons online. The staff here is friendly and seem to be very knowledgeable. Akeem was very helpful throughout my visit. Had me in an open bay within 1 minute of pulling into the place. Helped me with a coupon code and emailed me a list of items that I turned down as upsells. Whole process was under 15 minutes. This visit came after I tried Wal-Mart (12 cars ahead) and Jiffy Lube(opened later). 2nd time at this location and glad I went and glad Akeem was the employee I dealt with. read more

The person who changed my oil a few weeks ago was lovely, his manager (I'm assuming, as he was looking over his shoulder the whole time), not so much. He told me that my battery was bad and when I said that I didn't want to change it right then (it had just been in the shop, so I thought this was odd and wanted a second opinion), he said "Oh why? You wanna call your daddy and ask him to pay for it?" Super poor taste. Just because I'm a young woman, it's not okay to make comments like this. Also, as a young woman, garages have repeatedly tried to sell me items that I do not need because they suspect that I don't know anything about cars, so of course I'm wary. I really wanna give this place five stars, but because of the manager I absolutely can not. If you want to be haggled and forced to spend more than you intended on spending then this is the place to go. My husband's car uses synthetic oil.... his oil change alone is $100 or more. The so called manager comes over during our oil change and he's like, "your filter needs to be changed.... your not breathing in fresh air." My husband is like "okay, show us." He takes out our old filter and I immediately ask how much this new filter is going to cost. He tells me "$43 plus tax." We already had a $15 off coupon which got the bill down to $90. He adds the filter to the bill and the bill sky rockets to $155 dollars, I said "Our Bill was only ninety bucks." He proceeds to say I'm going to give you twenty percent off your entire purchase which brings the bill to $125.... that's still 35 dollars more that we have to pay!!! Saving us only 5 dollars!!! For something we didn't even need! This man threw our filter into the trash and he had to get it out the trash.... mind you, our 15 dollar coupon could not be applied with the percentage off or it would have been a different story. That's not all folks, he goes on to say "Ma'am it's your car, I don't get commission off selling these." But sweetheart you are raising the transaction amount and I have worked in both sales and retail! I'm not one to play with. I mean he was so persistent and I fee so bad because the other men were so nice, sweet, & helpful.... we were seriously in and out in 15 minutes. But the haggling, throwing out filter that was fine in the trash, getting smart with me when I know he's trying to drive up the transaction amount, all of that was unnecessary. I may just go to the one in Allentown next time. Advice to management, some people budget! Maybe next time I would have gotten the filter but the filter was not in the budget. Don't make people feel uncomfortable. You might lose a customer. read more

This is referring store at Philipsburg NJ by route 22. I'll been visiting this place for 3 years for oil change. April 24, 2022 I checked oil level and seems to low. I looked underneath the car and I've seen oil was leaking from the filter and the drain plug. So I decided to go back and do another oil change earlier than I supposed and I asked the person who was performing the work to make sure the filter and plug are installed the correct way so no more leaks. Well, left the place knowing that everything is done well. Drive the car home and I am checking, and what I've seen oil leaking from the filter and also dripping from the drain plug. I am driving back to the place, I explained and they said to drive the car in the shop to check it. The same person runs underneath the car wipes off the leaks, tight up the filter and gets a video on his phone telling everything was dry and is transmission fluid. This guy is joke. I am not sure how many people they buy their BS for their lies. Well good thing I checked the car before I went back. On the top the store manager is standing by and he is not even say one thing about and he let his employee get away from his lie. Never again in this place. The stars if I could will be -5 below. Be careful with this place. I don't recommend at all this place stay away. read more

This place is good to get a quick oil change. Sign up for emails and then you'll get a $10 off coupon. Both times they did try to get in some extras (told me I need a new air filter, suggested an engine flush) . Just tell them from the beginning u want only an oil change. They make money by telling people you need this or that, so be prepared to tell them you are only paying for an oil change, period. Will def go back just for the convenience of it. read more

Fraud Alert. To make a very long story short, these guys scared me into having a $140 air conditioning service performed on my car by showing me a A/C pressure reading taken while the engine was not running. The reading was way too high (too much pressure), and they claim the extreme pressure was dangerous, and could cause a major failure and expensive repair if they didn't take care of it right away. After the service, the pressure was the same (with the engine off), and was normal with the engine running. But they wouldn't give me a refund of the $140 because "Valvoline recommends A/C service annually". Total garbage. I guess I'm a sucker for falling for their scare tactic. I work at a car dealer so the last thing I want to do on my day off is worry about my own car. The prices are similar to my dealership, somewhat more expensive than an independent shop. The convenience is worth the price, plus they send me coupons all the time. It is policy here, as well as most other places to upsell, the shop makes far more money on services other than just an oil change. However, I experienced no upsell here, probably because my van is a pile of garbage. I want it to run as long as possible and easy, convenient maintenance makes that easy. Sent daughter to have oil change only. She was told everything looked fine. One of the employees told her they were going to do an engine flush. She asked why and was told the oil was sluggish . After being pressured into more service we came away with a bill for 123.00. I went in to follow up with why the engine flush happened. Was told manager would call me next day after they checked into it. Am still waiting for a call 4 days later. Not the first time we were ripped off. They have now lost 4 customers in my family.
