Their tech neglected to replace the screws in my air box (air filter housing). Drove back to have them replaced after discovering this, must have driven 100 miles with an open air box, letting all kind of dirt and debris straight into the engine. Manager replaced screws, I went to replace the air filter myself today and the screws are all different sizes and thread pitches. One of the mounting points is completely stripped out due to the incorrect screw being used. I have to replace my entire air box now. Please avoid this place. read more

I went in today for second oil change on new fleet vehicle 2024 equinox 14k miles. I was held hostage over refusing an air filter replacement the manager claimed I had to have fleet approval to refuse. Vehicle is new, I saw the filter it looked new. waiting for extended period of time for fleet approval, oil change was complete. 3 year old daughter in back complaining of fumes and feeling dizzy. I told her I was having an emergency with my child and that i didn't want a new air filter and I would come back later if needed. The manager stood in front of my vehicle and refused to let me leave! I went today to get my oil changed and after they were finished , i was told to start my car and the rpm rose to over 5000.... long story short, they bumped my throttle cable into stuck position when they were taking off air filter cover, looked at video and they said they did not do that , the techs back is right up to the camera so you cant see anything he is doing .. Yeah I got rude , but they were negligent .. I did tell them to shut my f---- car off when it amped up when they started it also. Would not follow thru with refunding me for service , they asked me what i wanted .. I called customer care and they could not do anything as the center had already put a record in to deny my claim within 15 minutes of me leaving businesss, The agent agreed but her hands were tied. Wow. Made an account just to post this. Disappointed with how this place has gone downhill recently. Not happy with the service I received, so I looked my car over once I got home. My vehicle was missing all the hardware on the air box, which is funny because I remember a rattling sound coming from the engine bay on the first turn I took out of the driveway. Person in charge was incredibly rude, implying that she couldn't confirm if the fasteners were there upon arrival. Like they wouldn't have tried to charge me or them if they weren't there initially. I requested a fluids check and a new engine air filter because I went on a long road trip. Every person I talked to was very nice and professional. It was efficient and I think I paid like $100 bucks, in my opinion is great considering the quality of service provided. I brought in our car for a service before heading to Seattle. We made it 40 miles before it overheated due to a hole in the radiator which my mechanic thought was caused by the filter change we receive here. The mechanic took pics and called twice to explain why this wasn't caused by a rock or any flying debris, and looked hit while changing the filter. The manager called me the next day and just said, "no, we didn't do it." Wouldn't explain why she thought that or let me see the video of the change. Just said no. Went in Sunday Dec 10th for their full synthetic service. While there they pointed out the air filter was dirty where I mentioned that's fine I keep one at home as they are easy to change. It is hard for me to get underneath a small suv to change oil but top of the engine is easy enough. I get home and they had not latched the air filter lid latches. Pretty simple to see and do if you are paying attention. I am going to build ramps and do my own oil from now on. read more

I will never do oil change in this location 468 Harlow Rd Springfield, OR 97477 United States anymore. I was heading to Arizona and I stopped to change my oil so I can get an new oil filter but unfortunately they did change the oil only they drain the oil in my engine even it was a clear and they just add oil. They don't change the filter they don't rotate the tires. They said they don't have equipment in this location and they don't check the air filter and when I asked them they said oh it's fine and when I left I stop by other location and check it that oil filter. The mechanic guy told me it's not change it cause I have a plastic cover the engine they supposed to open that to reach the filter and they don't do it because all they spend about seven minutes. The people they're nice but they don't did the service well done and I just wasted $51 just for oil that's it no other service done at all read more

The services offered here are pretty comparable to other corporate oil changes, but the prices might be slightly higher than their main competitor. Of course they're going to tell you that your vehicle is due for this or that; I honestly don't know how their info can be complete enough to tell customers what they really need. Took my car in to get serviced and left with an oil leak. Took it back into valvoline to ask them to see for any leaks and if they can tighten anything loose. They looked and said looks like a leak from your gasket, and your a quart in and a Half short of oil. So I got the oil replaced and proceeded to take to mechanic and they said my oil plug was loose and never tighten and that oil was also spilled over the top of my engine. Had to pay 150 bucks for them to clean my engine and tighten my plug. Called valvoline and he said they can't help me at all since they never touched my plug. But never explained the oil all over the top of my car. Mangers name was Danny and only wanted to give me a free oil change. Don't go here because they don't know what they're doing clearly. read more

Wife went there and I was on the phone with her while they were working in the car. Told her not to change air filter and when she got home she said they did because she felt obligated to have them do it, because of their pressure. Looked at the bill and then compared to the best filters at O Reilly's auto parts. Both cabin and engine air filters were double what the best cost at the store. So I went to talk to technician. I told him that I wanted to talk when he was done with the car he was working on...I was outside the office (not in anyone's way or inside) he walked away from customer to talk to me and then said he had to get back to them when he didnt like what I was saying. I told him I had been on the phone with my wife, he snickered and said, "I know". The young man was one of the cockiest people I have ever met. I was Noticeably upset but did not yell or cuss at him. Explaining that I felt he took advantage of my wife and sold items that were way over priced ($35 over store prices for the high end parts) He told me to leave and I did. Followed up with a phone call to Valvoline customer service. They bluntly told me that they know they charge more for parts and they dont worry about competing. So... if you want an oil change and do not care about costs, go there. If you want a business that makes a profit but wont overcharge, go somewhere else. During my oil change, the technician recommended to get the Fuel System Cleaning service, which I agreed to. Immediately after this service, my vehicle would not start. After several attempts, my vehicle finally turned over, but was idling extremely rough and several sensors were flashing on the dashboard. None of the staff there had any idea why this was happening, nor did they think the service caused these symptoms, despite my vehicle driving perfectly prior to bringing it to Valvoline. A manager instructed me to drive the vehicle for 15 minutes and if I was still having problems, to bring my vehicle back. Unfortunately my vehicle went into limp mode and I wasn't able to accelerate off of the lot, which almost resulted in myself and two dogs being struck by another vehicle. I immediately returned and informed the manager that my vehicle was not safe to drive and I would need a tow truck. He informed me that Valvoline bears no responsibility and I was on my own. This message was reiterated by an unbelievably rude manager named Taylor Henry. After roughly six hours in the Valvoline parking lot without any help, I was able to get my vehicle towed to a mechanic in Tualatin. Long story short, a cloth rag was discovered in the throttle body. I understand that accidents happen, but the staff and managers vehemently denied any possibility that they caused the issue with my vehicle and were the most discourteous people I've ever interacted with.
