To keep it short, Valvoline broke a part on my car, they admitted it and said it would be ordered. 1 month later, they did not order it. I've spent too much time on the phone with customer care and with the regional manager, Justin. He had told me he would personally order the part. I asked for an email 1 week after ordering the part as an update. I have received no email or any help to the matter. Went in to check on the a/c cause it's not working....the employee took off the top cover under hood and commented to the manager that he did not know what to do and the manager told him don't worry you will figure it out, and he did not figure it out but while driving home we saw lights on the dash indicating we did not have 4 wheel drive anymore among other things that were were not working anymore.... We returned to the place and told the manager who was there at the time (not the original, ) what happened and he accused us of doing something to the car that caused it to be in that condition. DO NOT GO HERE. They stripped my oil plug 2 times now and busted out a chunk of inside my pan. Came home and noticed a lot of oil leaking the next day. They weren't open when I noticed it. Had to get it fixed before Monday. Had a mechanic fix it. Rip off when they were the ones who caused it. Will never go there again, and no one else I know will either now. Will not be reimburse bc they didn't approve it but me being a single mom with kids I'm supposed to wait for them and not take my kids to school or go to work so they can fix something that was their fault. Called and talked to the assist manager. It took a week and a half for someone else to call me back after I called again to get an update. I was in a rush to get an oil change and I waited about 3 mins to be approached. Finally a man came and I told him I wanted an oil change. He told me to pull behind the car in the middle station with no time frame on a wait. 4/5 starts because I love this company, but it's a shame that I don't get the same customer service as I do at the other locations. My advice: please let your customers know a timeframe of how long they will be waiting. Don't just ask and leave at that saying nothing else. I had a great experience here at this location. With it being conveniently located by my home. I visited this location on a Thursday morning in the morning. I was able to get in and out within 15 minutes. I came in for an oil change and all the staff was friendly and courteous. With Robert taking down my vehicle information and informing me what was going to be done on my vehicle and recommending me to do certain services for my car since my car had a high mileage. Robert was excellent! He was very attentive with me, explaining the different types of oil for my vehicle, he as very informative. Overall I had a great experience, Robert and the other technicians were very courteous and I was able to get in and out quickly. The shop offers inside and outside waiting for your vehicle and your are approached by a technician once your vehicle is ready. I highly recommend it here! read more

I had to buy another battery since I was not near a location. When I explained my situation and informed the rep he offered a new battery but I explained I was not happy. WHY WOULD I WANT A BATTERY THAT DOES NOT PERFORM!!! I asked for a refund or credit. He said he could not, when I informed him I was a long time customer and asked to speak to a manager he called someone but they did not speak to me. I've been a customer Valvoline for over 25 years and more than a dozen cars. I paid them thousands of dollars for a hundred oil changes and other maintenance. This was arguably my worst visit. It probably wasn't the fault of the manager, although he could learn to be a little nicer, but it was really a corporate decision. I drove up into the bay, and got out of my car, as I always do. I was immediately barked at. Get back into your car, sir! I was too startled to say anything , I just got back into the car. Apparently even though they have a nice air-conditioned waiting room, their new policy in the middle of the hot Texas summer is to make you stay in your car while they change your oil. They have a camera in the pit and they place a screen where you can watch the mechanic pillow change your oil. If I really needed to watch the mechanic because I didn't trust him, then I wouldn't be going to their business. Also when they change the oil the motor cannot be running of course oh, so there is no air conditioning in the damn car. I got to sit there in my work clothes and sweat while they spent 23 minutes changing my oil. The man presented a steel strongbox at the window it was labeled as a safe key box. He barked put your keys in here sir! If I can't trust you with the key to the ignition, why would I be at your business? The guy then tried to sell me a transmission fluid change which he said was recommended. It's borderline a misrepresentation. It implies that they had records that showed that the car was due for a transmission fluid change, when in fact they had no such records. They then tried to sell me a fuel system cleaning, and new windshield wipers. Since I was sitting in the car I noticed that they hadn't looked at the wipers before they tried to sell me the new wipers. The reason I have used Valvoline all these years is that they don't try to upsell and they just do a good job with a nice clean air condition waiting room. Some Eggheads at corporate decided to Tinker with that successful formula and require customers to wait in their cars. It's ridiculous. Some man in his 70s came walking in and the guy barked the same orders to him, sir please wait in your car. I think he drove off. Of course that guy's car wasn't yet in the service bay but was outside in the Texas sun. If this is the new way they're going to do business, I'm going elsewhere. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I was close to this location Friday before Noon and have the Valvoline app that told me that there was NO WAIT-TIME at this location, so I figured I'd stop by for an Oil-Change on my Lunchbreak! BAD MISTAKE!!! Not only were there 2 Cars parked in both Slots, just as I pulled another car pulled in front of me and got called in. So I waited a good 15-20min and just as I was about to reverse to leave, I instead got BLOCKED in on both sides and more cars coming! The very unprofessional - out of shape bigger Woman name "Raquel" was very rude, off-putting and seemed very UNORGANIZED as she would start checking my tires for pressure, while I was still waiting in Line behind one car in Garage and then going back to that Car, then the Car next to me and all over the place!?!? When I asked about aprrox wait time she said "No clue" before I could answer that I do have to be back at work soon. (By this time 45min had already gone by and my car has been running entire time!!!) As we now approached ONE HOUR the car infront of me finally left and I got called in! Now I end up having to obviously turn my car off for the oil change and since my car was driven and had been running for a hour, I end up having to sweat to Death in a hot ass car for another 35min. to let my car "cool down" to change oil. As I cracked my windows a tad bit to get some air, (as at this point I was about to pass out) Raquel swiftly came around the Corner yelling "UHM YA YOU CANT DO DAT" Also, Prior to this, she was yelling that I must put my car Keys infront of Dashboard, even though they were already placed there and when I told her "Look" while pointing at them, she just shrug and rolled her eyes??!?? She went on to continue laughing and having personal conversations with Shakiyl, whom I believe doesn't know very much about European Sports Cars and took a very long long time to do the job! At this Point we are OVER 2 HOURS in and I am drenched in Sweat from Head to Toe!! Just as I was about to lose my Sanity, the hostile Raquel asks for my Payment of $130 (that's with a $10 discount) for a simple Full Synthetic Oil Change That almost took 3 Hours!!!!! Wow... then they lie on my receipt and said "Oil Service Indicator Light Reset", even though as soon as I took off! Boom my Service Light came back on!!!!!!! (I have attached pictures with the time from service and 10 minutes later when I could snap a picture of Service Indicator light back on my Dashboard) My car is running slow now and making weird noise!!!! I am disputing this charge with my Bank currently!!!! Do NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst service I've ever received!!!!!!!!!!! Horrible! I usually go to their location off of Bitters but this was on the way so I thought I'd try it out. The wait was about an hour for what usually takes 15 min at the other location. About a week later I noticed a puddle of oil underneath my car in the driveway. Turns out they over tightened the drain plug and cracked my oil pan. I crawled underneath and saw a bunch of glue on the oil pan so obviously they knew what they had done. This simple oil changed eneded up costing me a lot more. What a waste of my time and money! I have been taking all my cars for more than ten years. I should have read the past reviews for this location. Every review in the past year except for one is a 1 star They wanted to fail my car for what they said was a crack on my wiper blade. I went there for a full synthetic oil change and inspection. Did not get either and decided to go elsewhere were the same wiper blade passed inspection. I hope someone from corporate calls me so they can see i have taken four cars there for 10 years for oil changes and inspections since they began doing inspections. It is not just me look at the yelp reviews before mine. I will go back when they change the crew. The manager said that if i use my wipers in the rain and get in an accident, they might be liable. Where to start. Insanely rude, don't know how to talk to their customers. Don't let them drive your car, they treat their parking lot like a mini race track, like they're working on time trials. I know valvoline is supposed to provide speedy service, but please have some care involved, I don't appreciate the trade off. I just bought brand new rims and tires with the little amount of money I have and they made sure to break them in by peeling out and jamming on the brake to test the brakes. All the while I was trying to watch what they were doing to my car, I was told several times, while I was standing in their out door waiting area, to go inside and have a seat. What's the point in having a waiting area outside if I'm forced to go inside? These places are sketchy to begin with because of their bad reputations with news channels and on YouTube with hidden cameras. This being my first visit to a chain oil and lube shop, will also be my last. And all I went for was an inspection sticker... Normally, I have great customer service with Valvoline. However, today I did not. Today, I had a full day with not much time to spare. Two of the many important things I had to do today were my inspection and then my registration. Towards the end of my inspection I was told I would need to replace my windshield wipers in order to pass my inspection. At the time, I didn't think much of it since I was in a hurry to get to the registration office so I told him to go ahead and replace them. $25 later (for the wipers alone) and I find out that my windshield wipers didn't even need to be replaced. My step father (who inspect his vehicles weekly) who owns the vehicle new that the windshield wipers were in perfect condition. And I, who had been driving the vehicle all day realized they were working perfectly fine all morning (it had rained) and didn't see any wear and tear in either of the windshield wipers. They weren't that old and according the the Texas Department of Public Safety, my windshield wipers were in no condition in which I would have failed my inspection test. At most they should have told me I need to replace them soon. But not threaten me with a failed inspection. I called to speak to the manager to allow him to correct the situation. He spoke to me in a lazy and annoyed tone. He was rude and absolutely no help at all. Not even a true apology was offered. Only a "sorry you feel that way". read more
