MIXED REVIEW & a lesson learned. May 11, 2024: I purchased this beautiful Jeep Wrangler for Vande Hey. For background, I live in Indiana and found this vehicle on Auto Trader. I paid $38,996 and this was my first time purchasing a vehicle in cash. The Good: Listed on Auto Trader, painless purchasing process, quality vehicle, easy going salesman (Thanks John). The Bad: No Military/Veteran discounts, forgot to reassign the title to me, forgot to provide me with the lien release. AC already broken. The Ugly: When I went to register the Jeep with the BMV (Indiana's DMV for my Wisconsin people), they said I needed the lien release and title reassignment form since the title hadn't been filled out on the back. I called the dealer and dealt with a few people over a few days and ultimately was provided a new 30-day temp tag and they emailed the lien release but said the title was fine. Went back to the BMV, they showed me the reason I needed a dealer reassignment form because the dealer didn't fill out the title. I had to call back and re-explain this issue. Thank GOD I got connected with Ms. Helen Bonner because she took the time with me and was able to identify the issue. She got me another temp tag, and sent me a FedEx envelope to send my title back to be signed. It is August 18 and I'm officially registered in Indiana. Be more thorough than I was to avoid getting the run around in finding a solution. I had a mostly good experience but this mistake caused a lot of stress and additional expenses when having to register my vehicle late and taking work off to deal with it. And shout out to Helen- your kindness and effort saved my sanity (and this review). she's the only one who apologized for such a huge mistake and she didn't even make it. read more

I saw the vehicle when driving buy- just what my wife was looking for. We later stopped at the dealership and ended up buying the vehicle because it had low miles. That's the good part. The young lady who sold it to us acted rather condescending, like we were bothering her. While test driving, we found the navigation did not work. She said it was the SD card and that she could order us one but would cost $500 (we declined). After having the vehicle for a few days, it was discovered that the radio came on full blast when my wife started the car. I called the service department and was told he could "look at it." Not happy with either of those events, it was decided to take the vehicle to another dealer we had done business with. The second service department had the vehicle for two weeks trying to resolve those problems. They ended up replacing the faulty radio, the SD card reader and SD card. Cost to us? Zero dollars. I'm not from around here. I just recently took a job in chilton about 3 months ago... I had no clue where to start... all I knew was I needed to put air in my tire... my tire light came on and it looked like my tires were flat... I had called and this nice gentleman had me come down for him to look at my tires. I got there... he checked my tires and put air in it for me!!! I don't know what I would had done if it wasn't for him!!! It was raining and the rain was coming down pretty hard. If it wasn't for him... I probably would had been stuck at who knows where!!! I live in Michigan and have family in Wisconsin. I was planning to travel there for the weekend and found a truck I was interested in. My plan was to test drive it and bring it home if all went well. I sent an email inquiry to see if it was still available and the response I got said due to inventory levels, they are not selling to anyone out of state. My family lives over there and I can promise you they will not be coming to this dealership when they are looking for their next vehicle. I have bought many, many cars and I used to be a car salesman myself. I've never had allegiance to a car dealer as to me they are all the same and I just look for the best price. Tana Spevacek and the service department changed the way I think about purchasing cars, and I will go to them first the next time I have a need. Not only did we get a great car for a fair price (under market), the buying process was fast and painless. That is just the start, though. Two days after my daughter got her "new" car home, the engine light went on. The dealership owed us nothing--we had no warranty. I contacted Tana and she instructed my daughter to return so they could make it right. It ended up being a bigger issue than anticipated, so they loaned her a brand new car for the week while they straightened out the issue. To me, this is service over and above what is expected. Every part of our experience there indicated to us that this is a dealership dedicated to doing things the right way by their customers. A+! read more

2000 miles after a transmission flush the transmission cooling lines began to leak. The garage said that this was not leaking from what they did and I agreed. Doing a little research this is common with the Chevy duramax LMM motors. My truck is a 2007 with only 33000 miles on it. GM does know they have a problem with these hoses they sent out a notice to recall some but not mine. I think the garage could have done more to help me out . Parts cost 220 dollars and labor was 440 dollars ridiculously high in my opinion. These hoses fail again I will replace them myself. read more

I had a terrible experience with the staff at Van de Hey Brantmeier. I purchased my used vehicle from them with no warranty and I understood that. The problem was with the engine consuming excessive oil which upon running a vehicle history report (after purchase) clearly showed that this vehicle had been in to be checked for this particular problem. Their report Auto Check Vehicle History Report showed me nothing but annual registrations pretty much. I brought this problem to the attention of Jeff the sales manager and explained that in writing on the back of the Vehicle Disclosure it states "The disclosures on this guide are not a warranty. However,it is an unfair practice for a dealership to refuse to remedy any problem that should have been disclosed on the Guide if the problem: Existed at the time of sale*Could have been founded using reasonable care*Was not disclosed, and *Is reported to the dealer when discovered and the vehicle is made available to the dealership. After speaking to Jeff and explaining my situation he asked me what it was that I wanted from them. I told him that I wanted to know how much they value their customers and what would they do. He said that he would check with Dave and "I will call you back". I never heard back from him but 1 year from the day I purchased this vehicle the salesman Ed contacted me and wanted to know how it was going. I explained it all to him and told him that I still would like to have someone contact me on this which now almost 2 years later I have heard nothing. I can only assume from this that Van de Hey Brantmeier does in fact not value their customers and it was all about the sale and nothing else. I do not recommend dealing with this business (sorry Ed). I still own this vehicle and repaired it 1 year ago for about $1500.00 doing the work myself. I would still like to here from Dave if he thinks this problem was handled properly. read more
