There was a vague allusion to some storm damage from last year's hurricane that never made it here (even though they hadn't inspected anything.) I never got a quote and told them I wasn't interested, then received excuses instead of what I needed and warnings about how hard it is to call my insurance company and file a claim. Without knowing anything about the job a number of $14,000 or so was tossed out after informing them we were not interested. Another company (Mancilla Roofing) did a thorough inspection, climbed up on the roof and listed things they needed to do specifically, gave us materials samples to mull over, and quoted $9,000 for the entire job to include replacing all the roof vents and features, and even running a magnet over the property to find any nails that may have escaped their work area. These guys seem to be locking themselves into potential customers through the insurance company immediately to pretty much name their price and prevent anyone else from competing with them. I didn't get the feeling that any of this was on the level, but I am guessing that if they can overcharge insurance companies enough this way their actual roofing work should be done pretty well and they wouldn't have to cut corners. The other reviewers here who don't seem to understand how their insurance works all gave them 5 stars after all.

The person I was assigned to (Samantha) doesn't answer messages and doesn't return my calls. I was promised last time I called in that the owner would call me back on Monday morning with an update. It is now Thursday and I have all but given up. I'm ok with companies telling me if the project is not for them; I'm just really disappointed that they never paid me the courtesy of giving me an update either way because I have now wasted 45 days waiting for a quote when I could have been getting on with fixing my house. His pricing is very reasonable/cheap. He does not overcharge you once he is on site if you want to add-on services. And, he doesn't take quality shortcuts either. As I live out of state, I hired them long distance to prep my condo for sale, and they took advantage of my absence. Now, more than a month after they demanded full payment up front for their work, they have yet to complete the job and oblige the agreement I entered into with them in good faith. Moreover, his crew was careless and broke a vintage lamp I had safely moved to the middle of the room. Rather than keep the broken pieces to allow me the opportunity to try to salvage the loss, they threw out the pieces without my permission. I'm now left with an unfinished project and they have made no attempt in a month to complete the job or pay me back the remainder of what they owe me. And lastly, they stole 20 upscale kitchen door handles that I had left for them to install. Skip this contractor and find a contractor who's not a theif and a liar and someone else more reliable, more professional, and more honest.

He was supposed to fabricate an existing gutter I had to go around a new electrical meter box so the rain would not damage my newly install electrical meter box I had installed at a commercial property. I laid everything out for him explained what I needed and was trying to accomplish. I even sent pictures detailing what I needed. The first time he supposedly finished he calls me and say I am finished I go over there the downspout is not in the location we discussed and the downspout is hang off the building. Then he calls the 2nd time the job is half ass again the straps on the downspout are not on but the gutter is fabricated correctly so after he puts on the straps. I pay him and he leaves. The next time it rains it's still rains on the box he did not seal the hole in the gutter. I called him 4 times everytime he says that he is coming out to repair which were lies then he says oh I sent someone out there to repair knowing that he is lying. Now his phone is disconnected.
